SIGNUP PROCEDURE
- Signups are open for the month of December in UST time.
- First-time signups during the event period are free. Subsequent challenges cost each player 12 JC.
- Each player may sign up for up to two runs at a time. Their second team must be made with a player who isn't in any runs. (This is to ensure that every player gets a chance to participate.)
- Players who have been scored for Normal Difficulty may sign up for Hard Difficulty.
- After the event period, signing up costs a Event Voucher in addition to any JC.
- Event Vouchers are presently unattainable, but may be available in the future.
"Here's the rules and regulations so you grunts can stay in line! Show a little civility for the holiday season! Spare me from any extra work!"
BATTLE FORMAT
- Multiple players tag up, bringing 1 Pokemon each.
- Normal: Two players team up.
- Hard: Three players team up.
- Some rules call out player 1 or player 2. The players in the team may specify who is player 1; otherwise they are numbered in the order of their signup posts.
- They fight a boss that orders first each round.
- Normal: The boss and its adds post their orders in sequence, always starting from the first when they spawn.
- Hard: The boss still orders in sequence, but the adds now select one of their possible order sets at random each round.
- Defeating the boss ends the challenge immediately.
- The boss leaves after the 5th round, ending the challenge.
- After completion, they earn rewards for every score threshold they surpass.
- Rewards for Normal Difficulty and Hard Difficulty work differently.
- Normal: Each reward can only be earned once per player. Higher scores reward new rewards only.
- Hard: Rewards are scored and obtained per-run. Other runs by those players aren't considered.
- You don't obtain Normal Difficulty rewards for a Hard Difficulty challenge.
- Signing up with a pair or trio of Pokemon claims that pair or trio for the players. Other players cannot sign up with that pair or trio of Pokemon. (Signing up with a different forme is okay.)
- If the challenge fails, that team's pair or trio is unlocked and they or another team of players may challenge with that team. If the challenge clears and is scored, only those clearing players may re-challenge with those Pokemon.
- Players are prompted to Boast in one or more ways when signing up, from the list of Boasts.
- Each boast they undertake weakens them or strengthens the boss against them.
- Each player has their score multiplied by the total of their Boast's Ratings.
- Some Boasts have selectable intensity. Players specify which version of the boast they wish to use.
- In order to possibly earn any of the more valuable rewards, players must burden themselves with many Boasts.
- Each player in a team takes boasts and gets their score together.
- (Carry runs are fine. It's the holidays!)
"Yeah, I know you louts won't play nothin' if I don't pay you. Gather around and see what I have in my bag of goodies for you, heh!"
