Scizor @ Heavy-Duty Boots
Ability: Technician
EVs: 248 HP / 168 Def / 92 SpD
Impish Nature
- Swords Dance
- Bullet Punch
- Knock Off / U-turn
- Roost

Scizor is a potent wincon and great defensive check to Pokemon such as Rillaboom, Kartana, and Tapu Lele. Bullet Punch hits Kyurem and Clefable super effectively, also making Scizor a strong cleaner once boosted. The EV spread allows it to survive a +2 Life Orb-boosted Superpower from Rillaboom. Heavy-Duty Boots allows Scizor to switch into entry hazards comfortably and makes it a reliable pivot with U-turn. However, Knock Off can be used over U-turn to punish switch-ins such as Mandibuzz, Slowbro, and Zapdos by removing their Heavy-Duty Boots. Roost gives Scizor longevity and the ability to continuously check foes like Rillaboom and Tapu Lele. Due to Scizor's susceptibility to chip damage, pivot move users such as Slowbro, Mandibuzz, and Tapu Koko are appreciated to get it in safely. It appreciates Pokemon such as Heatran and Tapu Fini to check Corviknight and Garchomp, respectively.

Scizor can become is a potent win condition and great defensive check to Pokemon such as Rillaboom, and Choice Band Kartana, and Tapu Lele. I think given the set's lack of offensive investment it's best as more of a win condition with defensive utility than a wallbreaker. Bullet Punch can threaten and check Kyurem along with making it a strong setup sweeper with Swords Dance, as it allows Scizor to threaten the above Pokemon. I think the focus is a little wrong here. There needs to be a greater focus on Bullet Punch being its main damage dealing option that can smack things like Kyurem and Clefable, and can be a sweeping option when boosted. Heavy-Duty Boots allows Scizor to switch into entry hazards comfortably, and makes it a more reliable phenomenal pivot user with U-turn. Knock Off allows it to punish switch-ins such as Mandibuzz, Slowbro, and Zapdos by removing their Heavy-Duty Boots along with Roost giving Scizor some longevity. Roost gives it longevity but what does this allow for it to do? The main thing is that it lets Scizor continuously check things like Rillaboom and Tapu Lele. Putting these into separate sentences owuld be ideal as well. Due to Scizor's weaknesses pivot users such as Slowbro, Mandibuzz, or Tapu Koko are appreciated to get it in safely. What are these weaknesses? It appreciates Pokemon such as Heatran and Tapu Fini to check break through Corviknight and Garchomp respectively.
