Rocky Helmet allows Roserade to beat Registeel by stalling it with Synthesis while accruing Rocky Helmet chip; it is also useful for punishing uninvested Crobat, and U-turn from Flygon. Grass Knot allows Roserade to deal more damage to Suicune and Metagross. Synthesis allows Roserade to check Electric-types like Xurkitree and Rotom-C long-term. 56 Speed EVs allow Roserade to outspeed Golurk. Roserade finds itself on balance and bulky offense teams alike as a reliable entry hazard setter thanks to its defensive utility and ability to check Electric-types. Roserade has major issues with Crobat, so Steel- and Rock-types like Metagross, Steelix, and Rhyperior make for good partners. Roserade struggles to hit Steel-types like Registeel and Metagross, meaning wallbreakers like Heracross and Bewear are great partners. Roserade also appreciates Knock Off support from Pokemon like Incineroar and Heracross to increase the effectiveness of its Spikes and remove Crobat's Heavy-Duty Boots.

There isn't really focus on the unique parts of the set, ie Rocky Helmet and Physical Defense Investment. Tag me when implemented

Physical Defense investment lets you soft check Rhyperior and makes Roserade more reslient against Pokemon like Golisopod, Flygon, and Mimikyu. Rocky Helmet and bulk investment means you can live Crobat's Brave Bird and punish it with a lot of recoil, it can also force out Registeel as it gets hurt by attacks which rose can easily heal off.) and its vicious STABs that are able to threaten a wide portion of the tier.(It's not that hard to wall.) Grass Knot allows Roserade to more easily chip resistant Pokemon like Registeel and Crobat.(What? Grass Knot does not do much to either of them. Grass Knot's higher BP is good against, ie Suicune, Steelix, and Metagross.) With Synthesis, its ability to act as a long-term check against the aforementioned Electric-types becomes bettereven stronger(It's not really a great check without.).
