RMT ~ Singin' in the rain

Hows my rain team?

Tentacruel @ Black Sludge
Ability: Rain Dish
EVs: 252 Def / 252 HP / 4 SDef
Bold Nature
- Toxic
- Rain Dance
- Protect
- Scald

I chose tentacruel as my sp/phys wall because he has access to rain dance. he becomes a huge wall and a hilarious staller in the rain due to his HA+Sludge.
Scald is there for the stab, and possible burn to shut down phys attackers and allow me to control the game.
Protect to stall out a bit more, and abuse the sludge+rain dish regens.

Barbaracle @ Focus Sash
Ability: Tough Claws
EVs: 252 Spd / 252 Atk / 4 HP
Adamant Nature
- Shell Smash
- Razor Shell
- Rock Slide
- Earthquake

Barbaracle has always been a favourite of mine, And whilst you have a shell smash up in the rain it is a VERY threatening thing to be up against. the focus sash allows me to get off a shell smash 99% of the time.
it is also a great check to talonflame. it can easily one hit it with razor shell and rock slide whilst resisting Bravebird and Flare blitz.

Politoed @ Choice Specs
Ability: Drizzle
EVs: 252 SAtk / 252 HP / 4 SDef
Modest Nature
- Ice Beam
- Hydro Pump
- Focus Blast
- Psychic

Standard lead for a rain team, gave it choice specs so I can do some serious damage when I lead with this thing.
It's great too, because it oesnt just function as a suicide rain inducer, its able to pump out some serious damage and put some major pain down
with its stab HP. focus blast is an answer for ferrothorn, too.

Reuniclus @ Leftovers
Ability: Magic Guard
EVs: 252 Def / 156 HP / 4 SAtk / 96 SDef
Bold Nature
- Thunder
- Calm Mind
- Psyshock/psychic?
- Recover

reuniclus' stall ability is immense, with 3 calm mins up it can take almost anything, and with access to recover when this is set up it is damn near impossible to get past it.
Thunder because of its 100% accuracy in rain, and psychic for stab.
Recover so I can just stall wall and chunk people down,

Dragonite @ Lum Berry
Ability: Multiscale
EVs: 252 Spd / 252 Atk / 4 SAtk
Lonely Nature
- Dragon Dance
- Hurricane
- Thunder
- Dragon Claw
This team gets absolutely decimated by Mega venusaur. so this is my answer to that annoying plant.
with the 100% accuracy hurricane taking 50-60% of venusaurs health, it is a gauranteed 2HKO.
its a great check to venusaur, and I gave it lum berry to stop it putting dragonite to sleep and shutting me out.

Starmie @ Life Orb
Ability: Natural Cure
EVs: 252 Spd / 252 SAtk / 4 SDef
Timid Nature
- Psychic
- Ice Beam
- Rapid Spin
- Surf

I chose starmie because it is a huge threat in the rain and even outside of the rain it is a big threat.
I gave it rapid spin to clear any hazards so I can safely swap into Dragonite without it losing its Multi-scale.
surf is there for the stab, as is psychic. I chose ice beam for coverage, and because it has a nice bulk.

The main things wrong with the team are
1. 4 water types is probably a little much, you could do without starmie and put rapid spid on tentracruel, possibly instead of protect. Your entire team gets swept by thundurus except for reuniculus and maybe starmie. You need a counter for him, possibly a scarf terrakion or a mamoswine of some sort
2. That Dragonite set isn't really viable. If you're going to use that moveset, try something more like 252 spd/252 Satk/4 Atk or fool around with calcs to get a good Satk/Atk spread. It isn't worth all those EV's in Atk if you only have 1 physical move.
3.You need something better to take special hits. Your politoed and tentracruel both get destroyed by electric special attacks. A cleric sylveon might do the job.
