Hey guys I've been experimenting with a lot of teams lately and I've had the most with this one so far. It consists of an aurora veil lead with hypnosis, 2 set-up sweepers, 2 walls, and of course, a Lando-T.
Ninetales-Alola @ Light Clay (lead)
Ability: Snow Warning
EVs: 248 HP / 8 SpA / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Aurora Veil
- Freeze-Dry
- Hypnosis
- Hail
Alolan Ninetails usually almost always leads the team out. I usually start with aurora veil to lessen the damage my team takes which allows my other 2 set-up sweepers to set-up. Hypnosis is fantastic when it lands as it gives me even more time for my set-up sweepers to get going. Its high speed-tier allows it to set-up aurora veil before anything else which helps Ninetails tank some starting hits from other leads. It does well against most leads except for ferrothorn with gyro ball which 1-hko's it even with aurora veil set-up so I either have the option to aurora veil and sacrifice Ninetails or test my luck and hypnosis ferro.
Landorus-Therian @ Choice Scarf (pivot)
Ability: Intimidate
EVs: 244 Atk / 68 Def / 196 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Earthquake
- U-turn
- Stone Edge
- Explosion
Lando-T is the pivot of the team thanks to intimidate and good typing. I put a choice scarf on it so it can out-speed various speed threats that the team can't handle since no mon in the team has a priority move and only relies on setting-up to get high speed. Earthquake and stone edge are really good coverage moves and U-turn emphasis its role in a pivot mon. Explosion is my panic button and with Lando-T's high attack stat it kills almost any mon in one hit.
Tapu Fini @ Leftovers (wall)
Ability: Misty Surge
EVs: 248 HP / 8 Def / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Taunt
- Nature's Madness
- Moonblast
- Defog
Tapu Fini is a really good wall due to its great typing and balanced defense and sp.def stats. Taunt helps me take care of status and hazard users and defog takes care of rocks and spikes (but i need to use it sparingly since it also removes aurora veil). Nature's madness weaks the tankiest of mons and moonblast is overall just a great coverage move. I usually switch in to Fini to wall attacks that Ferro can't.
Ferrothorn @ Leftovers (wall)
Ability: Iron Barbs
EVs: 252 HP / 24 Def / 232 SpD
Sassy Nature
IVs: 0 Spe
- Stealth Rock
- Leech Seed
- Power Whip
- Gyro Ball
Ferrothorn is such an amazing wall. I not only use it to wall attacks but also to scout enemy moves. Gyro ball and power whip ensure that Ferrothorn isn't just a bullet sponge but can dish out great damage too. Leech seed and stealth rock just frustrate any mon that switches in from ferrothorn. Ferrothorn and fini have such great type coverage and work really well together.
Volcarona @ Buginium Z (set-up sweeper)
Ability: Flame Body
EVs: 248 HP / 124 Def / 136 Spe
Timid Nature
- Quiver Dance
- Flamethrower
- Bug Buzz
- Roost
Volcarona is sucha beast when it gets its quiver dances up. This set is a bulky bugnium-z set. I usually switch in volcarona when I see a mon that can't really dent volcarona so I can start to set-up at least one quiver dance and get going. Its only really effective mid to late game when there are no stealth rocks and toxapex because I swear toxapex is like the bane of this mon's existence. It deals well against heatran is quiver dance allows it to be really bulky against heatrans attacks and roost ensures volcarona lives.
Tyranitar @ Tyranitarite (set-up sweeper)
Ability: Sand Stream
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Dragon Dance
- Stone Edge
- Ice Punch
- Earthquake
Mega-Tyranitar is my favorite mon of the team for two reasons. 1 being its bulk and 2 being its really high attack stat. Since sandstorm gets Ttar's Sp.Def to 400+ it can tank so many hits and once tyranitar sets-up its dragon dances it is almost unplayable. Stone edge, Ice punch and earthquake deal so much damage to any mon. It faces problems though with unaware Clefable and eviolite Chansey.
I would be open to suggestions on how to improve this team ! Its really fun to use and I hope it can be even better :)
