Rillaboom has been banned from SV UU. After much debate, the UU council decided to vote on Rillaboom as the foundation of grassy terrain archetypes.

With 7/10 ban votes, Rillaboom leaves the tier by a landslide. Ever since shifts, variations of grassy terrain teams have been dominating the ladder and tournament play, causing a strain on the builder while doing so.

Rillaboom was selected as the source of the problem due to obviously being the only setter with any level of viability in a vacuum, while also being the only clear cause to the surge in the archetype’s usage.

tagging dhelmise and Marty for implementation :)

also apologies for horrible formatting i am on mobile, happy holidays !_!

unbelievable...

TO ADDRESS RILLABOOM VS HAWLUCHA:

Rillaboom itself is not a remotely overwhelming Pokemon, but the support it provides to Grassy Terrain teams is too much, enabling strategies like Unburden Hawlucha, Grassy Seed Latios, and Tail Glow Manaphy to an extreme degree that we are unhappy with. While we expect terrain teams to still be somewhat viable using Thwackey, we believe that the interactions provided by Rillaboom's bulk are what enables the strategy to the current unhealthy level of consistency. The survey we sent out corroborated this data, as the majority of players thought Rillaboom should be the target.

Thanks!
