VGC Regulation H Tyranitar team help

Hey, this is my first self made team in VGC ever and idea was to play around my favorite Pokemon Tyranitar, so pretty much everything except him is cuttable :totodiLUL:

Tyranitar @ Assault Vest
Ability: Sand Stream
Level: 50
Tera Type: Flying
EVs: 204 HP / 124 Atk / 100 Def / 76 SpD / 4 Spe
Impish Nature
- Knock Off
- Rock Slide
- Low Kick
- Tera Blast

The main man himself. The intent was to make him a powerful lead, capable of OHKO:ing Annihilape and threatening Rillaboom with Tera Blast Flying, while being able to stand attacks from other threats. After some testing I found myself bringing him to every game and playing more aggressive than opponents might guess, like still going for Knocks and Tera Blasts after burn / intimidate. He is the best, even if he is not the best and a complete fanboy pick.

Gyarados @ Safety Goggles
Ability: Intimidate
Level: 50
Tera Type: Steel
EVs: 196 HP / 76 Def / 92 SpD / 140 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Waterfall
- Protect
- Thunder Wave
- Taunt

A standard support Gyarados move set, but with extra speed to catch slower and mid speed threats with T-waves or Taunts. Here mostly to try and wall Palafin and as the "mandatory" intimidate user. But with the amount of Ursaluna B, Kingambit and Annihilape I have seen in my testing he sees less and less play in the 4.

Corviknight @ Sitrus Berry
Ability: Mirror Armor
Level: 50
Tera Type: Dragon
EVs: 252 HP / 212 Def / 44 SpD
Impish Nature
- Tailwind
- Iron Defense
- Brave Bird
- Body Press

There are probably better Tailwind users, but I just love the synergy with Tyranitar. Leading with Tyranitar and Corviknight usually leads to opponents Fake Outting Corviknight, which most of the time leads to a good Knock Off or Tera Flying T-Blast into Rillaboom etc. Iron Defense / Body Press package is to make him more of an active threat instead of a Roosting staller. After testing I have noticed that Corvi really struggles into Rain, but hes the MVP into Palafin and other physical threaths.

Primarina @ Throat Spray
Ability: Liquid Voice
Level: 50
Tera Type: Water
EVs: 4 HP / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Modest Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Dazzling Gleam
- Hyper Voice
- Protect
- Hydro Pump

Primarina's is always paired with Amoongus. I have been thinking of trying out Calm Mind variant, but Hyper Voice -> Hydro Pumping just feels like a really good explosive power package. Without Amoongus I find myself not bringing Primarina, but setting these 2 together usually brings me the late game victory. I am a bit sad that even in Tailwind and Max speed, I sometimes find myself getting outsped by Archaludon or other counters, but maybe this Prim should be bulkier instead of max speed.

Garchomp @ Clear Amulet
Ability: Rough Skin
Level: 50
Tera Type: Steel
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Dragon Claw
- Swords Dance
- Stomping Tantrum
- Protect

"Garchomp is so back!" I read from some thread on Reddit but sadly I'm not so sure. When he works, such as predicting a protect turn and getting a Swords Dance up, hell sweep quite easily, but otherwise he seems to be really struggling. Whimsicot especially just laughs at me and Archaludon just shoots Draco M with no worries in the world. I like him but I have been thinking of switching him to Excradrill or even Lycanroc.

Amoonguss @ Covert Cloak
Ability: Regenerator
Level: 50
Tera Type: Water
EVs: 252 HP / 60 Def / 188 SpD / 4 SpA
Calm Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Sludge Bomb
- Protect
- Rage Powder
- Spore

People have made much more eloquent opinions why the Amoonguss is the busted gussted. In this team the shroom is here to help with Trick Room teams and enabling Primarina sweeps. With hindsight I'd probably give it some more Special Attack EV:s to capitalize on the Wolfey tm Sludge Bomb tech.

That's the team and hopefully you will find something useful in it. I am a total VGC beginner, only getting interested in the format earlier this year and being quite intimidated by Regulation G:s power-level. With that in mind I'm happy to take any advice / feedback on how you would improve / adapt the team into the coming metagame.

Oo, I like it. Many doubles teams are just slight variations of each other, this is quite different than all I've seen, though I play singles.

I think moon last is too good to pass up, on most things bar like physical mons lol. So prim oughta have that over gleam even in doubles, imo. Although even with the huge power diff and SpA drop 30%, it may be team dependent so then I wouldn't know. But the set looks a bit wonky, I feel. Maybe it is the dual water STAB more than gleam.

I'd support it if you changed chomp to exca, it is #1 teammate for ttar to use sand. Otherwise sand is just kinda chip for everyone without much else. It favors you still cause ttar itself is immune and +1 SpD, but otherwise seems unappealing so I'd use the sand.

Thanks alot, I do hope Reg H brings alot of varied and wonderful teams with it once the Rain match up has been cracked.

To comment on the move pool on Primarina, I noticed that she gets pretty walled by defensive Tera Follow Me users while protecting mons like Hydreigon. Altough at the same time Gleam / Hyper Voice gets completely countered by Wide Guard, but the only really prevelant user I have seen is Pelipper. In that spesific match up, Arch gets walled by Amoonguss so hard that you can quite easily pick up KO's with +1 Rainboosted Hydro Pumps so Wide Guard isn't a real problem. I usually also make sure to Knock Off Archs Assault Vest, since Tyrannitar can play quite aggressive into Arch / Pelipper granted that I havent terad to Flying.
