So here's a little RMT on one of the Pokémon with the most flow in the entire licence: Reuniclus. First, I will just do a little reminder about Reuni fats, then explain every Pokémon:
1. Reuniclus Hazards Stack ?
This team is a very standard Reuniclus Calm Mind Fat, adapted Generation 9. Not much to say about the team, this archetype has been well known for years, let's move on to the presentation:
2. Team Explanation
Okay. Reuniclus
, our flagship Pokémon. Here, he's played with Calm Mind. It turns this relatively passive Pokémon into a real danger that can easily end a game and serve as a Win Condition against the most defensive teams.
Here we prefer Psyshock to other STABs to win Calmd Mind/Quiver Dance wars while still having real direct damage thanks to the Life Orb (unlike Stored Power).
Finally, Focus Blast is there for coverage, allowing you to hit and kill Roaring Moon
and Kingambit
as well as doing good damage to ting lu and so on.
The spread allows you to outspeed anything spreaded to outspeed Toxapex
while still having as much bulk as possible, and the Tera allows to get very little weaknesses and helps against Weather teams.
Now the big Dozo. There's nothing really special about this set, it's a classic Dondozo
: it checks 80% of the physical Pokémon in the metagame while still being able to clean up against teams that can't break past it. Max Def and Tera Dark help against Kingambit
, and Ghost (Gholdengo
or Boots Dragapult
) and doesn't break the synergy of the team overall.
I've long hated Samurott-Hisui, but now people will get a taste of their own medicine. It's a key member of the team with its capacity to easily put up Spikes and pressure Gholdengo
. Knock Off and Aqua Cutter are great to annoy Great Tusk
. The spread outspeeds any Raging Bolt
, while still maximizing its Special Bulk. Finally, Tera Elec helps against Raging Bolt
and Zapdos
, while also avoiding Paralysis.
Fourth is Corviknight
. Originally not part of the team, I chose it due to its key resistances, its Physical checking ability, and it's decent use as a Knock Off absorber against Great Tusk
or Rillaboom
. It may seem too much alongside Amoonguss
and Dondozo
, but just like the other, it can fully wall an unprepared team.
Let's move on to our penultimate monster, the great Ting-Lu
. It has one of the best bulk in the game and can soft check almost anything given the right timing. I chose a bulky attacking set for its lack of complete passivity, as the damage it can inflict on overconfident opponents are the real deal. Rocks, Ruination and Earthquake are all very standard, and help maintaining a good momentum and pressure for the team. Stone edge is a bit more specific: it allows you to hit Enamorus
, Volcarona
and Zapdos
, the first two also being the reason for Ting Lu's Tera Fire (alongside Iron Moth
). In short, Ting Lu allows you to hit lots and lots of Pokémon, put down Rocks, patch certains matchups with Tera, and watch the world burn.
Last but not least, here's a little Regenerator. Our team was lacking something to check one of the most broken Pokémon against this archetype: Ogerpon-Wellspring
. Amoonguss
fits very well here, with Spore also being a very powerful tool in the team, and baiting in Gholdengo
to allow some clever double switches on Samurott-Hisui
. It's here to deal with very specific threats, as well as to in on U-turns and Volt Switches without sacrificing the physical integrity of its team members. Along with Samurott
, he may be the least legitimate in the team, but he still plays a very important role in the victory count of this team.
3. Tough Matchups
Volcarona
/ Iron Moth
: Very annoying, these matchups are really not easy because of Bug Buzz or the Energy Booster, however Ting Lu Tera Fire often patches it out on the short/medium term, due to the style of team in which these Pokémon are present and their lack of durability.
Archaludon
/ Raging Bolt
: Like our two mothes, they force Ting Lu to stay healthy, and can therefore quickly end a game where Ting Lu disappears too quickly.
Apart from those four, there's of course the classical Fat composition problem of Hazard Stacking + Gholdengo
or Ogerpon-Cornerstone
, but it's still manageable.
