Rapidash's blazing Speed and access to both great coverage and status moves make it a solid revenge killer, one of the best offensive utility Pokemon in the metagame, and a perfect fit on balance teams. Rapidash also differentiates itself from the few viable Fire-types with its unique access to reliable recovery. Flame Body dissuades U-turn from the likes of Thwackey and Articuno. High Horsepower and Wild Charge allow Rapidash to nail Pokemon that resist its STAB Flare Blitz such as Coalossal and Cramorant, respectively. Toxic is excellent at crippling bulkier walls such as Rhydon, Miltank, and Jellicent. Grass-types such as Tangela and Gourgeist-S make for great partners, as they can cover for Rapidash's weakness to Water- and Ground-type attacks while appreciating its ability to check Ice- and Fire-types. Hazard removal from Cramorant and Rotom-S is also appreciated, as Rapidash is vulnerable to Stealth Rock should it switch into a Knock Off from Thwackey or Alolan Sandslash.

Rapidash's blazing speed and access to both great coverage and status moves I'd also mention it's great typing as there aren't many fire types in zu and rapidash is the only one with recovery make it a solid revenge killer and one of the best offensive utility Pokemon in the metagame making it a perfect fit on balance teams. Flame Body dissuades U-turn from the likes of Thwackey and Articuno. High Horsepower and Wild Charge allow Rapidash to nail Pokemon that resist its STAB Flare Blitz such as Coalossal and Cramorant respectively. Toxic is excellent at crippling bulkier walls such as Rhydon, Miltank, and Jellicent (Miltank has been on the rise, so I think it's great mentioning it) that are able to shrug off multiple super effective hits Rapidash's hits. Grass-types such as Tangela and Gourgeist-S make for great partners as they can cover for Rapidash's weakness to Water- and Ground-type attacks, while appreciating its ability to check Ice- and Fire-types. Hazard removal from Alolan Sandslash poor remover imo, but you can keep it if you really want to and Rotom-S is also appreciated as Rapidash is vulnerable to Stealth Rock should it switch into a Knock Off from the likes of Thwackey or Alolan Sandslash.
