Welcome to the post tournament thread. Congratulation to Necrozmas (aerobee Glory) for winning the tour and I hope you all had as much fun as the hosting team (me and Mrs. Electra102) had hosting it. Be welcome to post shoutouts, team dumps or any other post relevant in this thread (or memes).
Thanks to all the teams and players that have taken part in this tour, and to all the spectators that have watched its development. (and thanks to the ones providing tour guidelines help, looking at you Chessking345)

Again: post, meme, insult my mother or my non-existent father, do teamdumps, shoutouts or whatever, see you around and have fun!

incoming team post for phpl

Week 1 (DPP)
:deoxys-speed::latias::gyarados::regigigas::palkia::latios:
i was building for highlord instead of playing dpp bc dpp is matchup hell and he went for double my price. he threw out literally everything i made to go for cheese so i stopped building dpp at some point lol. i had the idea to just go for sun and kill stuff with hp regigigas, which is a good plan. but generally this tier's so bad because of no impostor and spore taunt stag are all broken. also drought latias is bad but i was running it like a fool

:deoxys-speed::arceus::giratina::blissey::kyogre::latios:
because of the request for cheese, i made fullpass. this team is not consistent bc it's fullpass, but it can get the job done and has all the tools it needs. but fullpass is worse than speedpass so there's not a lot of reason to run it when all the prep for speedpass hits fullpass just as hard if not harder

Week 2 (DPP)
:deoxys-speed::gyarados::giratina-origin::latios::latios::slaking:
highlord came up with wg deo-s lead which i thought was cool so i added it. idea with this team is that you kill a bunch of shit with your breakers and then let deo-s and gyara handle stuff trying to break past you first. the gyara set is really not it at all but if you pretend like this is a balance tier it's really good. also this was before i decided mold spinners were bad mons

:giratina-origin::deoxys-speed::aerodactyl::swampert::gyarados::dialga:
the giratina antileads deo-s and arc except they spore you first so it doesn't really. this team was almost really good but then i made it slop ass balance. if you replace the 3 mons in the back with breakers it's probably busted, cause the top 3 are a really good core. i will say that dialga is one of the only mold spinners you won't be embarrassed to be seen with

:jolteon::suicune::drapion::weavile::deoxys-attack::giratina-origin:
1742771113807.png

Week 3

i didn't build anything this week. this was the week where highlord decided to start building speedpass for himself every week and i let him bc we were a really bad builder-player core. i did help with one of the speedpasses but highlord made 99% of it so i'm not posting it

Week 4 vs. lag=bad (GSC)

:marowak::electrode::ho-oh::skarmory::mewtwo::mewtwo: (L)
this was the week i started playing games. i was probably the only person in the entire tour to take gsc seriously. this team is really risky to bring cause of no lugia and no ww meaning you really don't have good scouts. but the idea was to antilead marowak on trodes so lag would bring some dumbass leads from that point on and i could lead trode for free. then i would use trode to get my own momentum going. i wouldn't bring this now because this team gets dragged through the mud by boom2 and most growth2, and those are top 2 sets in the tier. in the game the anti-lead strat didn't work bc lag led lefties lugia for no reason, and he had 3 mewtwos but they were like all physical fsr. i ended up losing bc of a couple misplays + poor luck

:electrode::lugia::aerodactyl::mewtwo::mewtwo::snorlax: (W)
this team's broken as fuck. the game was just me subpassing to aero and haxing them for the win so the game ended in like 2 seconds. nowadays i'd probably change eq on aero to spore or sub but that's it. this team's really consistent and good vs everything and i really should have just loaded it again but w/e

:electrode::lugia::lugia::skarmory::tyranitar::mewtwo: (W)
i put my worldly faith into ohko spam for the last game. the ttar and skarm put in huge amounts of work cause their team couldn't touch them at all so i had a huge mu advantage. this team's surprisingly consistent because ohko is him in this game and you don't lose to sub mewtwo, though you probably lose to sub aero lol. but i knew lag wasn't gonna bring sub aero so i didn't bother changing the sets. when he led lugia for the 3rd time in a row, i realized that it was just the same team for every game, so the good mu + team knowledge secured me the win

Week 5 vs. Ransei (ADV)
:ninjask::slaking::slaking::slaking::groudon::latios: (W)
i usually like to build weird stuff for adv, but for tour i knew i had to buckle down and build very boring offensive slop instead of balances with D ranks. i also knew i had this week in the bag because i had poisoned the adv well thoroughly over superpower slak, since i said that it lets other slaks stop your sweep so it didn't beat balance. this was true in a vacuum but you could build around it without a lot of trouble. so my gameplan was to load a ton of superpower slaks and breeze through opposing balance. i included ada hp ghost slak since i was very wary of the imprison gar possibility which owned my whole team. latios is just here so i dont instalose to kyogre. in the game ransei brought balance with a D rank which i was cteaming so i won

:slaking::ninjask::slaking::slaking::kyogre::gengar: (W)
yes this is the team responsible for the screenshot. i didn't wanna get lazy vs jask lead so i brought band slak to ohko it with espeed, then have my jask in the back so i could keep momentum going, similar to the wak lead team from gsc but if it was good instead. tg kyogre patches up sand and lead spikes mus. spout gar looks weird but it 2hkos slak in the rain unboosted which makes the mu vs non-lati offense free. in the game i pulled an autowin mu on preview, so even if ransei could revenge the boosted slak he was never winning that. nowadays i would change one of the back slaks to impish for a better mu vs jask slak core

:ninjask::slaking::slaking::dugtrio::groudon::latios:
i didn't get to bring this team but i was saving it for g3. it's basically the g1 team but with duggy who is one of the best anti-don and ogre measures. no ghost move on slak means your gar mu is really bad so this team was definitely taking an unnecessary risk, but i didn't think ransei would bother with a frail support like gar for a g3 set so i didn't tech for it

Week 6 vs. teamo (USUM)

:giratina-origin::groudon-primal::slowbro-mega::gengar-mega::chansey::incineroar: (L)
i actually got a really good mu into the quad kart nonsense i was facing, since i expected it. all of the first 5 mons can cause trouble for kart. but i made stupid plays so i ended up folding for no reason. the incin is also terrible and does nothing. idk why i brought it, especially when i knew teamo wasn't gonna bring special threats anyway and he was privy to fissure. if i replaced incin with like an innards then this team is probably nice. this is also the week i remembered i was supposed to nickname stuff

:pheromosa::xerneas::celesteela::mewtwo-mega-y::mewtwo-mega-y::arceus: (L)
this team is just lazy subpass offense where you subpass to stuff multiple times and claim names. i figured it should work since teamo likes balance with no speed. however every time i load this team it loses to a terrible set that cteams it, or i lose because steela is dogshit and doesn't have any bulk. both of these things happened in the game bc i clicked spikes on his bounce mixed smash mmx turn 1, and then went to steela and died to the mmx in a situation where basically every other steel survived (except doublade lol). this instantly lost me the game. i did make some plays to try to come back and brought it down to last mon but i got cleaned

Week 7 vs. TheCreatorOfBullsht (USUM)
:diancie-mega::diancie-mega::steelix-mega::kyogre-primal::mewtwo-mega-x::audino-mega: (W)
i technically got act win but we still played exhibition so i'm posting these. this was supposed to be my g3 vs teamo but i reused it for bullsht because it also did well into everything he brought. this team is giga broken and if you're a good pilot you basically never lose on it. probably best or 2nd best team i ever made behind altrove. dual dia mindgames are insane bc the dias both sweep different teamstyles so you can cover everything. in the game bullsht made a single wrong predict vs harvest mdia so he lost instantly

:swampert-mega::groudon-primal::deoxys-attack::mewtwo-mega-x::slaking::chansey: (L)
this is just a cteam to lazy offenses. the double hp and innards ensures you always have outs too, and impostor can get trapped by deo-a + setup control can happen. this team's pretty great stuff. in the game bullsht loaded taunt psysurge mmy which is a 6-0. this will get ignored because he brought an insanely off-meta tr team which... the tr core didn't really do shit. but the mmy 6-0ed on preview, and it also lived searing shot with 2% hp. if the searing shot killed i basically won on the spot. sucks but go next

:aerodactyl-mega::gyarados-mega::chansey::mewtwo-mega-x::mewtwo-mega-x::kartana: (W)
this is some more cteaming to lazy offense but it also destroys balance. bullsht was using a lot of innards recently and he also liked to run no guards that speed crept mlop, so i decided to run ng pursuit maero to kill 2 birds with one stone. gyara was both anti-offense and a stopgap to rando smashers. then i added 3 op breakers that i could subpass to, and an innards to help vs kart + ng which were both problems. in the game i got an incredible mu so even though i got 4 turn 1 sleeps, i still won on mu

now for some shoutouts

aerobee goat manager, your ability to provide support in so many different formats was unparalleled throughout the tour. your knowledge and expertise made you an amazing center to our amazing team, and we def wouldn't have won without you

Akira 153 only player to go 7-0 throughout the whole tour and we got you for 5.5k... needless to say you carried an already strong team insanely hard. i love your crazy builds as well and the fact that you don't box yourself in when you make teams, which not really many people can say in ph. now go play tiers you actually like

Glory you totally dominated oras and pulled us through a ton of weeks by securing clutch wins. you were one of the most consistent players across the whole tour and you pulled your weight super hard as both one of the best oras builders and pilots

Highlord even when you were in a slump, you didn't let it get to you, and you won almost every game you played in the second half of the tour. you clutched up really hard for us. i also love the fact that you bring batshit sets that i hate and would never use, and then you win with them

realExcaliju you definitely went under the radar this tour despite your strong performance. you had a good record, especially in the first half, and we could always depend on you to win sets and clutch weeks. you were also able to build teams really fast which is admirable considering most of them won

Chessking345 you were a lot of help and a lot of fun to have even though you weren't a player for us. you provided a lot of really cool insight into mons and introduced me to oms i never would have known about. you offered up a good amount of piloting support too. couldn't ask for more from a helper

Electra102 you are carrying this community hard rn. from single handedly keeping old gens alive to hosting this tour without any prior expertise, your love for ph and for the community shows. we are really lucky to have a positive figure like you at the front of the community

GhastlyPixie you are my #1 fan ily!!! pls stick around more you are awesome

AV Cosmoem despite all the talk, i was really unconfident in my skills going into phpl, which is why i took the back seat for the first 3 weeks. but over this tour, i managed to secure a 3-1 record across three very different formats, build tons of teams both for myself and for teammates, and clutch several weeks for us. i genuinely thought i was gonna get rolled if i played at all, so even though this is an unserious tour, i'm still proud of my performance and the fact that i can beat my own expectations

Imma start off with my team, y'all meant so much to me, it was so wonderful to get to play and chat and strategize with you all. I loved every second of being on this team and wouldn't change that for the world. Y'all put in so much effort alongside me and we still had a fine run. I really hope that we cross paths again in future tours or just in general, you all are amazing people, and this tour meant a lot to me. I know it doesn't feel great that things ended how they did, but I love y'all so much and I had so much fun. Again, look forward to continuing to be with y'all, despite all the work and hard weekends after losses, the hours spent strategizing and planning and theorycrafting, I wouldn't change a thing. This was incredible to be a part of. (I'm not crying you're crying)
The team- ETERNATUS FOREVER :eternatus-eternamax: :eternatus-eternamax: :eternatus-eternamax: :eternatus-eternamax: :eternatus-eternamax:
Hallward - You did so much for us I cannot even begin to state how much I appreciate and respect you. You went above and beyond in ways I didn't even know you could, you were always there as support, always there getting us set for the week, and even going beyond to pass stellar teams for formats you were just dipping your toes into. You were an outstanding manager, (I definitely feel like you deserve some kind of award lmao) and I would happily work under you again.
Koen - Your record really doesn't reflect the work you put in, and sometimes that just happens. You put together well thought out teams every week, and were very helpful in quality checking things or suggesting changes when I was on a time crunch. Your positivity and energy was much appreciated each week, and you were a spectacular teammate.
Blahpy - our gen4 goat! You came in clutch being able to pick up and learn gen4 on the fly, and despite some tough losses, it was always fun to see you play. I loved some of the teams you came up with, and cannot wait to work with you again in the future. You were very supportive and open, helping me double check and polish teams quite a bit, a pleasure to work with you and I wish you luck in your next endeavors.
Sheep - you finished with a fantastic record, I very much hope you're proud of your run and your success, I loved passing teams to you and hope that you continue to use them elsewhere, your positivity was always appreciated, I look forward to how much chaos will ensue in lobby with them, and wish you the best of luck in future tours or projects, it'll definitely be fun to see.
Fish - I know you were a little disheartened by not being as active with us, but we still loved you all the same. Your rituals brought us positivity, and you were really fun to be around. I would love to keep working with you as I branch out to other oms, and wish you best of luck in other tours and matches, eterns on top. I hope you don't beat yourself up too much, managing for a format you aren't personally interconnected with is always hard.
Bullsht - I know not everything went as planned, and that there were some scheduling issues, but your cooking was always on point and delicious. You made uniquely amazing team after team, and had so many interesting ideas it was almost a little scary to check your channel and see what new things you were cooking up. I very much look forward to seeing what you bring to the meta moving forward, and can't wait to see your next big achievement.
Hendrit - smogcord menace in the flesh~ I loved talking with you and the positive energy you brought wherever we interacted. You helped polish many a sketchy team of mine, and I thank you for it. I really hope I can continue to get to know you, and look forward to seeing your antics in smogcord, as well as wherever else we may cross paths. Your matches were fun and entertaining to watch, even if you weren't happy with your overall performance, you brought solid teams overall and I wish you luck elsewhere.
Big Tony - THE GOAT FOREVER! I'm glad we were able to slot you in when we could, you're an absolute legend, funny, talented, you have it all. Wish you luck in future tours, all the best.
Afox - I wasn't around the 7ph'ers as much, but from what I understand you were helpful and were open to slot in when we needed you, I hope you enjoyed the tour, and I look forward to seeing you around.

Other people -
Glory - you were probably the person I worked with the most outside our team, you were irreplaceable in helping quality check teams and get ideas for new ones. I do not lightly call you the single best builder I know. Your ability to dream up sets and combos and spreads for every tier you touch is unparalleled by anyone I know. I very much hope you continue to work with pure hackmons, despite your prickly exterior, you are wonderful to work with, and an incredibly creative and unique individual, I wish you the best of luck in your other tournaments.
Eyeos - your commitment to making our gen7 squad practice and actually do work was amazing, you probably saved a couple of weeks for us, I cannot thank you enough, you were chaotic, funny, incredibly positive, and an amazing helper, I would love to see you sign up as a player in the future, you do so much for the tier.
Electra - GOATED host, and amazing g4ph tier leader. Your popping in every so often to provide support was much appreciated, and you did a fabulous job hosting for your first tour, cannot wait to see what you do in the future, and I look forward to working with you. Your dedication to everything you are a part of is truly admirable.
Test Rex - Best monopoly player in the cord (sorry tony), oh yeah you also hosted that's cool ig. In all seriousness, fantastic job hosting, you were a super fun presence and kept everything running mostly smoothly.
Pix - you were wonderful to be around. I loved watching your games, and your endless positivity and support for everyone in the group. You were a beacon of light for phpl, and your support of our team was much appreciated, seeing a good luck or go eterns in chat was always welcome, and made playing a little less stressfull. I very much hope that you continue with pure hackmons, but will also look forward to seeing you in other tiers and other tournaments, you were a delight to interact with, I wish you all the best.

Alright, now that I've had some time and stopped crying, thank you to everyone who signed up. To my teammates again, we had a good run, and second is hard, but still great. Love y'all. To the other players and managers who helped make this tournament possible, I really hope you all stay for potential future tours, and I look forward to seeing all of you in other formats. Best regards, an idiot who played a lot of wildcard.

you'd better believe those teams you made are causing chaos in lobby, they already have and already will >:3

great work on em, and thanks for building my teams the entire tournament

I’ve already done a team dump but I want to do my shoutouts.

Ransei thank you so much for teaching me dppt within such a short time and thanks for believing in me and supporting me. You have been an amazing manager.

Electra102 thanks for your amazing dppt support, I greatly appreciate you, not only from a playing standpoint but in general I appreciate you.

Test Rex thanks for being an amazing host and for encouraging me to sign up.

Akira 153 you have been an absolutely goated player and I really looked forward to your games.

lag=bad thanks for always being supportive of me and always being a positive force and encouraging me.

AV Cosmoem thanks for being awesome, I looked forward to all of your games and am proud to be your #1 fan.

cscl thanks for being goated as per usual, really looked forward to your games.

First of all, I would like to say that even though i went 0-5, this tour was lots of fun (except gen 8) and it was a pleasure to be able to play in my first ever PL tour.

Secondly, I would like to do a quick teamdump:

W1 vs cscl
:blissey::articuno::lopunny-mega::groudon-primal::mewtwo-mega-x::kartana:

HO team with lead Mega Lopunny, Innards Out Blissey, Eject Button Magic Bounce Articuno to stop WGs switching into the bunny getting momentum, and 3 broken Pure Power guys. We did experiment with a version with Deo-S as the lead and NG Gengar instead of MMX first, but ended up going with this one.

W2 vs TheCreatorOfBullsht
:mewtwo-mega-x::necrozma-ultra::doublade::zygarde-complete::audino-mega::gyarados-mega:
Balance team with 2 offensive Knock Off users paired with STag Ultra Necrozma. Unfortunately I threw when I played with this team (remember i do not play balance normally) when I could've had an easy win that game.

:groudon-primal::necrozma-dawn-wings::mewtwo-mega-y::audino-mega::zygarde-complete::blissey:
Another STag balance team, this time with Primal Groudon to eliminate certain threats, allowing NDW and Flare Boost MMY to potentially sweep (i think at least, remember i do not play balance). Unfortunately I also lost that game due to poor scouting and bad luck with sleep turns.

W3 vs nobody lol, I needed a break so I didn't play this week
:banette::blissey::rayquaza-mega::articuno::solgaleo::slowbro-mega:
I didn't play this week but I'm dumping a funny team anyway. Recently hendrit was cooking with Ampharos @ Ampharosite, which led to us and diemond35472 sharing goofy mega stone sets. So I cooked with Illusion Banette on an Assist team, which can Mega Evolve to use Prankster Spectral Thief and surprise your opponent, either stealing some of their boosts or sweeping after setting up a Belly Drum. (i only just noticed the attack ivs on cuno and that is a mistake but i'm too lazy to fix it)

W4 vs Ransei
:electrode::gengar::snorlax::aerodactyl::lugia::mewtwo:
Screenshot 2025-03-24 10.04.01.png

I don't really know anything about this meta so I can't explain the team well, but I ended up doing quite well and only lost because of a speed tie.

W5 vs lag=bad
:slaking::groudon::dugtrio::deoxys::slaking::slaking:

I hadn't used Slaking in any of the previous games, so to represent my team, I had to bring it here. We called this team Bombsquad because of the 5 Explosion mons. The funny thing about this team was that it had HP Ghost Groudon for Imprison Shadow Ball Gengar, which I did end up facing, but I misplayed a bit and ended up losing that game.

:tyranitar::blissey::groudon::metagross::latias::metagross:
I used AV Cosmoem's double Metagross stall team next game, but I find it hard to pilot stall so I ended up losing. I can't be bothered to explain the team because I'm pretty sure AV Cosmoem already did, but it would've been nice to realise some of the mons had lower-pp recovery moves before I started the game.

W6 vs Glory
:zacian-crowned::zacian-crowned::obstagoon::giratina::eternatus-eternamax::landorus-therian:
:regieleki::eternatus-eternamax::eternatus-eternamax::cramorant-gorging::spiritomb::regieleki:

this meta is just gambling please don't put it in the next phpl

Thirdly, I would like to thank everyone on my team for helping and letting me play in my first ever team tournament, especially sussyamongusdrip and Ballfire.

Finally, I would like to leak some weird moments from Slakingcord.

I will also start working on a personal Gen 7 VR.

When I heard this tour was happening I honestly wasn't sure if I wanted to take part at first, due to activity issues and not wanting to bother with ORAS/USUM. Eventually I gave in, but only on the pretense that I would treat this as a "for fun" tour, most likely wouldn't self-buy, and would be more focused on other tours on the site for most of the duration. However, by the end I was nearly, if not as emotionally invested as I was during HPL thanks to both being with a very strong team with good vibes and having an opportunity to delve into the more underrepresented PH metas. The DPP/wildcard slots felt like nightmares to draft for (since idt any manager truly understood the non-ORAS/USUM meta playerbases), and while that didn't really matter to me due to the for-fun nature of the tour I think a change in format (flex slots maybe?) is potentially warranted. Unfortunately due to the nature of these formats I don't see future installments (if any) being as much of a highlight as this tour, but that makes PHPL all the more memorable.

Gen 7
Gen 8
Gen 9

Really hate to stick this here, but the majority of our team complained so if you like to yap in tour games please refrain from doing so, it gets annoying. Also I know it's hard to be mindful of what you say throughout a tour but if you're a manager, always make your players feel valued. NEVER shittalk post-tour game, leak draft plans/negative drafting rationales, etc.

Shoutouts:

Electra102 Test Rex Huge thanks for hosting this tour, I know there were some very difficult calls to make throughout, from tweaking the draft format and downsizing team count pre-draft to handling act calls throughout the end, especially for hosters with minimal to no experience. Smaller communities continue to thrive because people like you step up and deliver, at the cost of being unable to take part in the actual competition and any difficulties arising throughout. Hats off

Glory The future of ORAS. It's no coincidence that I wanted you specifically as my co – owing to your actually good ORAS takes (can't be said for ANYONE else) and reliability, I knew our ORAS slots would be in the best of hands. I believe I built 2 ORAS teams this tour, as your prep calls were always on point and nearly flawless building resulted in us comfortably having the highest differential of the tour. Likewise, the few times the unthinkable happened I could confidently say the game was against you. You are also an incredibly strong-willed person (to many people, too strong-willed) and I could consistently rely on you to fight our way through any conflicts we encountered as managers. While the teamcord didn't necessarily have a positive opinion of everyone else, you contributed to the vibes and I know the people you come across as abrasive to simply don't know you well enough. We won PHPL and AGWL on the same day, let's make it 3 for 3 someday yeah ?

realExcaliju The other ORAS goat. While I assumed Glory and I would have to build teams from scratch each week (a worthwhile investment for such a strong player), to my amazement you seemed to up teambuilding incredibly well. Together with Glory I knew that, barring massive bs, we'd be up 2-0 each week with little difficulty. Also great work locking us in finals on the last game of Week 6. You're an incredibly fun person to be around and I thought you the largest contributor to the overall positive vibes we had throughout. No guarantees sadly but I'd love to have you aboard again in HPL II

Akira 153 Make that 3-0. Though due to the limitations of SV BH you might not have appeared to be head and shoulders above everyone else at first glance, despite asking for no upbid we were still dead set on getting you. You have one of the strongest Hackmons (+ Camove?) building fundamentals I've ever seen, and despite some doubt in the earlier weeks for the majority of the tour I was fully confident in your ability to mesh together a team of 6 seemingly incoherent (but, in the context of that team, completely logical) sets together and bamboozle the opponent. Your run also taught me that you CAN be consistent in tour-level USUM PH (just that I'm bad/too unmotivated), as long as you don't confine yourself to basic building guidelines and care to look around the builder enough. For the tier's sake I hope you continue playing. Maybe we'll see PH Akira in HPL II?

AV Cosmoem I'm embarrassed to say before the draft I brushed you off as just another oldhead, but your expertise in the metas I was unfamiliar with carried us incredibly far. Even in USUM you don't constrain yourself when building and had I realized your talents earlier I'm confident we would've coasted to finals much more easily. Thanks to you, I was also undaunted by the idea of a tiebreak, since that'd just result in you and Glory auramogging the competition. It was a pleasure to have you around and I hope to see you in HPL

mayopockets Thanks for stepping up to play the metas nobody wanted to and subbing in for Richard. Don't sweat your record either, mainer advantage is incredibly impactful in PH and, combined with learning new mechanics, it doesn't capture the effort you put in at all. Gl with your mons endeavors

Highlord You are not an ordinary Cerulean City Mewtwo. We knew we were getting you going in, and despite your difficulties early on (and my inability to learn DPP in a week) you eventually got it together and your record doesn't reflect the work you put into it. Thanks for signing up

RichardMillePlain Thanks for signing up + whatever time you put into learning USUM. I know you aren't comfortable piloting in meme formats but you still stepped up and took your chances with my 5-minute teams. Also good win vs cscl

Fc You went for 10k for absolutely no reason, go fuk urself. Always a pleasure working w you
