Protect for Blissey

I was wondering why doesn´t Blissey has Protect? It´s a major help against Focus Punch. It could be something like:

- Seismic Toss
- Soft Boiled
- Thunder Wave
- Protect
 
Because what's going to stop them using Focus Punch the turn after you protect ?___?
 
I've considered running Protect on my Blissey many times, as it might help a lot with prediction, but I've always thought that she had better things to do. It also seems like a bit of a waste without Wish.
 
Well, some Wish Blisseys have Protect, but I don't see any real reason for Protect. Besides, Blisseys supposed to be walling stuff like Gengar, and without Ice Beam/Thunderbolt/Flamethorwer, it won't be doing anything to it. But then again, I'm a newb, so what do I know. ;P
 
No you are right for the most part. Obi's Blissey has Protect, but other than that it does not see a lot of use of it.
 
My favorite set to use is.

Blissey @ leftovers
"do your evs"
- Protect
- Wish
- Flamethrower
- HP[Ground]

It's good for scouting, and healing when you're in a jam. And Protect is hilarious when the other team has an exploding Heatran, Bronzong, etc.

I think this is "Obi's" Blissey, btw.
