Power Swap/Guard Swap

Both moves are only learnt by Mr. Mime, Xatu, Girafarig and Mewtwo.
Medicham gets it by breeding.

Power Swap swaps the targets attack and special attack stats around, and Guard Swap swaps the targets defence and special defence stats around.

I see some potential in this, but I'd like to know whether it stays even if they switch their guy out and bring him back on.

This could screw over sweepers really well by reversing their offence stats, and it could also turn some walls into joke - it'd let you smash right through Skarmory with physical moves, etc..

Mr. Mime seems to be the best bet for the moves, as his special defence is massive, and he can support himself with Reflect to cover his subpar defence stat.

Everyone already knows Medicham can use it on himself, but it's kinda not too great on him.
It'd help Mewtwo if you decided to make a physical set for him (Power Swap).

Mr.Mime could use it to make his defence massive instead of his special defence aswell.
So he could basically be both a special and a physical wall at the same time, since you could swap at anytime.

The best set I can see for this, (and I prefer Guard Swap, since I'm seeing heaps of potential in Mr. Mime with it), is like this..

-Guard Swap
-Psychic
-Thunderbolt/Energy Ball/Shadow Ball
-Calm Mind

I'm unsure what's the best for him out of TBolt/EB/SB, probably TBolt, but meh.

I dunno, maybe it sucks, but I'm definately going to be having a Guard Swapping max-special-defence Mr. Mime on my team, seems extremely versatile.
Base 120 in the defence of your choice is nothing to laugh at, especially not when mixed with Filter.
Filter haves damage of super effective attacks by the way, meaning they just do normal damage.
Calm Mind jacks up his special defence and special attack - meaning you can raise his defence through Calm Mind and Guard Swap too, and proceed to own with Psychic/whatever the other choice of move is.

If this has already been thought of, sorry, just popped in my head when searching through the new moves.

I love this Guard Swap Mr. Mime set though. If you think of someone who walls it, I'll just switch to a counter. >_>

BTW Power/Guard Swap only swaps the SDef/Def boosts, not the actual stats/base stats

I'm pretty sure those moves only switch stat boosts (i.e. Swords Dance, etc.), rather than actual stats.

EDIT: Beaten by Jibaku. Rhyperior is coming for you! :)

You target yourself.

Medicham does it with Power Swap so I'm assuming Guard Swap let's you target yourself aswell.

Here's what I come up with:

After 2 CM's, Mr. Mime's special defence can be 744 whilst his defence is like 229.
If you swap the "boosts" to his defence, his defence is 515 whilst his special defence remains 372.

After 2 Calm Minds, Guard Swap, and basically he's an excellent wall, combined with Leftovers, a STAB'd Psychic which gets powered up by the Calm Minds, and the ability Filter, and he's a force to be reckoned with.

Think what you want, you know it's good.
I'm sure a more "pro" pokemon dude from here can come up with a perfect set.

I think CM/GS/Psychic/TBolt is excellent though.

Only thing is he can't heal himself too well, can't heal with anything besides Leftovers.. Recover woulda been nice (albeit overpowered).
