power lens or macho brace for SP. ATK. EV training?

okay i'm ev training my bagon(now a shelgon) and i can't decide what item to make it hold, power lens or macho brace? i've been battling some trainers using the ev/vs seeker guide. it's been very useful, just i can't decide which item works better? help and advice please! thanks!

Power Lens is better, because you will get 4 extra Special Attack EVs no matter what. If you fight a Pokemon that gives:
1 SA EV: PL gives 5, MB gives 2
2 SA EVs: PL gives 6, MB gives 4
3 SA EVs: PL gives 7, MB gives 6
So, Power Lens is ALWAYS better.

Directly from a guide I was working on:

When you want to EV train a particular stat, these [power items] are actually more effective than using the macho brace, as demonstrated by the following table. The top row shows the normal number of EVs given by a pokemon. The left column shows what item your pokemon is equipped with and whether they have pokerus or not.

Code:
                           | 1 2 3
_________________________________________________________
Macho Brace | 2 4 6
Power <Item> | 5 6 7
MB+Pokerus | 4 8 12
Power+pokerus | 10 12 14
edit: that didn't format well, but Great Sage said basically what I was saying anyway

With Power Lens, you can train with any random pokemon and use EV Reducing berries to remedy the wrong EVs. Just fight with Magikarp man and use a Tamato berry.

Or you could not be dumb and train against Pokemon that give the correct EVs, speeding the EV training up to 60-90 minutes per pokemon at most with pokerus.

S.Atk is really easy to train in old chateau, but for some other stats I prefer to fight random pokémon and use reducing berries afterwards

for the pokemon that arn't that common when training, stats (like shinx or krikitune for attack) you could always try chaining them with the pokeradar.
