XY UU pokemon x and y uu team

hey every this is my first thread and obviously my first rmt. this team looks funny because of one pokemon but you will learn not to underestimate him. This team has gotten me to top 30s constantly in the uu ladder peaked at 24.

620.png

Mienshao @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Reckless
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- High Jump Kick
- Knock Off
- U-turn
- Rock Slide
this pokemon does not need much explaining in the uu tier. reckless high jump kick destroys everything bar crobat and florges. The reason im running scarf is to outspeed threats like hydraigon, darmanitan and any other common scarfers. It can also ohko commom mega aerodactyl, knock off is there mostly for chandelure because id rather just high jump kick everything in its face. Rock slide is there as its the only way i can truly harm crobat.

Entei_Legendary_Dog_of_Fire_by_NakamuraKaito.jpg

Entei @ Assault Vest
Ability: Pressure
EVs: 248 HP / 252 Atk / 8 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Sacred Fire
- Extreme Speed
- Hidden Power [Grass]
- Stone Edge
this guy is probly what makes the team stick like glue. With assault vest it can take weak scalds and even some dracos from hydragon. stone edge is there or im walled by chandelour. hidden power grass 2hkos physically unware quagsire who try to stop me :p
0- SpA Entei Hidden Power Grass vs. 252 HP / 4 SpD Quagsire: 204-240 (51.7 - 60.9%) -- 92.2% chance to 2HKO after Leftovers recovery.
it can sometimes even take down swampert but only if its burned because specially invested swamperts can still eat hp grass from this entei.

tentacruel.jpg

Tentacruel @ Black Sludge
Ability: Clear Body
EVs: 252 HP / 240 Def / 16 Spe
Bold Nature
- Scald
- Toxic Spikes
- Giga Drain
- Rapid Spin
this is the only defensive wall i have in the team but it does its job well. The reason picked clear body is due to sticky web and there have been times when donphan has outsped because of this and picked me off. its a really good lucario counter and reliable spinner. giga drain is there for swampert quag and to just regain some extra health. t spikes are there to help me with opposing walls.

256combusken1600x1200.jpg

Combusken @ Focus Sash
Ability: Speed Boost
EVs: 252 Atk / 252 Spe
naive Nature
IVs: 0 HP / 0 Def / 0 SpD
- Protect/endure
- Reversal
- Baton Pass
- Swords Dance
This is the mvp of the team. It alone can sweep entire teams by himself if not prepared. The plan is simple try to sd and try to get to 1 hp, thats why ihave 0 ivs in defenses and a naive nature because sometimes florges doesn't drop me to my sash and in some instances mega amphorous. at plus 2 reversal destroys the whole meta or almost everything. if reversal can't take it down i usually baton pass to entei. now imagine a fast super bulky entei at plus 2 :p endure is there because sometimes your sash gets broken so move is up to you. also baton pass could be changed to fire punch or sableye can taunt you.

207gligar1600x1200.jpg

Gligar @ Eviolite
Ability: Immunity
EVs: 252 HP / 252 SpD
Careful Nature
- Stealth Rock
- Earthquake
- U-turn
- Roost
this guy here is my mega amphorous and hydragon counter. can still tank physical hits even though im uninvested and can sort of handle mienshao if myeviolite isn't knocked off. u-turn helps on predicted espeons or odvious switch ins. can sometimes even u-turn along side mienshao and cause chaos to the opponents team.
Kingdra_by_pokemon_master.jpg

Kingdra @ Scope Lens
Ability: Sniper
EVs: 20 HP / 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 232 Spe
Modest Nature
- Draco Meteor
- Agility
- Hydro Pump
- Focus Energy
last but not least is this monster. i needed a hard hitting special attack and somewhat of a water resistance while also being able to take down scuicune. after a focus energy it will always crit and bypass any calm mind that it took while also doing crap ton of damage to bold blissey.

drop some suggestions and enjoy this team at work.

Hey man this looks like a really fun team, and I really like the amount of sheer offensive pressure you put on the opposing team. Gligar's U-turn and Tenta's T-spikes really add to this. Overall I'm a fan of this team for sure. Here's a few changes I can see though.

The first one is that Tentacruel really doesn't need to be running Giga Drain as its got quite a few better options. Using one move for just Swampert on two of your mons is really suboptimal. Let me go over some better options. First of all you should notice that Sableye is a Pokemon that can reliably spinblock against Tentacruel even if it gets burned, because it can burn you and knock off your recovery and simply stall you out. And spinblocking is definitely not something you want to happen given that your win condition is severely hindered without it Focus Sash. For this reason you should consider one of two options:
  • Replace Giga Drain for Toxic on Tentacruel. This lets you beat Sableye and gives you the possibility of spinning if you don't get too crippled in the process. Now Tentacruel becomes a much more reliable spinner and your win condition has a much better chance of sweeping. Replacing Giga Drain with Knock Off also could work as it makes it more difficult for Sableye to spinblock you, and also has utility against basically every other Pokemon.
  • Replace Tentacruel for Mega Blastoise. Mega Blastoise is a Pokemon that provides a lot more offensive presence than Tentacruel and also is much harder to spinblock. However, this means giving up Toxic Spikes, which you probably don't want to do. So I'd say that the first option is better but this is also a possibility if you feel it might help.
Also, I've posted a better spread of specially defensive Gligar below. This helps you still do things like counter Mega Ampharos and take hits from Scarf Hydreigon, but also balances it with the ability to more easily handle physical attackers (yours is missing EVs anyway).

Watch out for Zygarde if it ends up staying UU (it probably will). You reeeeally want to get 2 layers of T-spikes up if you encounter that thing, and then hope that it's not Lum DD. It's probably enough of a threat to this team to warrant a change in Entei's slot. Getting rid of a ground weakness to this team can go a long way, but I can't really think of anything so I may edit this post later if something comes to mind.

All in all, a nice team that looks really fun to use. I hope my few suggestions helped, and good luck using this team in the future :]

Gligar @ Eviolite
Ability: Immunity
EVs: 252 HP / 44 Def / 212 SpD
Careful Nature
IVs: 30 Spe
- Stealth Rock
- U-turn
- Earthquake
- Roost

Alright, we decided to split this r8 up, so here's my suggestions :]

First off, you should probably replace Rock Slide on Mienshao with Stone Edge; while the accuracy of Rock Slide does help, it still has a chance to miss, and Stone Edge generally does more damage, which is useful when Crobats try to switch into your other moves.

Next, I would change Assault Vest on Entei to Choice Band, as without it, you don't too much damage and become reliant on the burn from Sacred Fire. Speaking of which, I would advise switching HP Grass out for Flare Blitz, as Quagsire and Swampert both hate switching in on Sacred Fire because of the burn risk, and barring them, HP Grass is a waste of a moveslot. Flare Blitz also helps you in case you run out of Sacred Fire PP.

Finally, while I know that Combusken might seem cool as a stat passing booster, there are really better options out there, and Combusken is terrible for your team in terms of defensive synergy, as it adds a Ground-weakness which is already prominent on your team. To fix this, I would replace it Weakness Policy BP Celebi, who gives you a resistance to Ground-type moves while fufilling the general role that Combusken did, and does a much better job of it thanks to its access to recovery and better defensive typing.

Hope I helped!

Celebi @ Weakness Policy
Ability: Natural Cure
EVs: 240 HP / 132 SpD / 136 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Seed Bomb
- Baton Pass
- Recover
- Swords Dance

thanks man that gligar ev set looks pretty nice man :p

thanks for your suggestions but combusken job isn't there to pass stats really. it sweeps with reversal when givin the chance baton pass is just there for the 3 pokes it can't onko after a swords dance which is florges crobat and sableye, everything else is dead lol. and im not a fan of celebi tbh. thanks for your opinion man. oh and i want to run stone edge but am really scared to miss tbh im 50/50 on changing it

but combusken has some serious flaws tho, the main one being priorty, among other things such as hazards and ghost types. Celebi is much more reliable in the end because of its recovery and decent bulk. But hey, if you still wanna go with combusken its all you.

ps: you have no switch ins to life orbed kyurem, if your mienshaos out against it youre fine but everything on your team gets ohkod or 2hkod by it

im actually retiring the team ;p once i peaked at 24 and finally beat king uu and a couple of other cool uu players :p i just dont like celebi that 4xweakness to uturn is something i dont like plus atleast combusken has speed boost so i cant be outsped while celebi isn't the fastest and u-turn is everywhere. the priority does take it down but i mean if it was flawless then it would be broken and that wouldn't be fun. :p also i dont like grass as an offensive type either :l plus you have to admit being able to ohko like 90 percent of the meta with one turn of set up cool, the only other relevant ghost type is sableye but like i said can switch baton pass for fire punch.

kyrem hasn't been a problem for somereason even though i know i lack switch ins. but to be fair alot of things have a hard time switching into life orb kyrem, even umbreon blissie and other mons get wreked by it. The threat that actually destroys my team is zygarde. Thats prettymuch the mon that destroys this team. since it may stay in uu thats why im retiring the team just wanted to see what people thought of it. Thanks for the input guys hope to hear from you guys again when i decide to post another team ;p
