Welcome to another entry in using pokemon in ways that they shouldn’t be used in. My next target is a physically offensive Clodsire. I’m taking advantage of that wonderful 75 attack stat. It’s truly amazing. Anyways onto the team.

The Clod (Clodsire) @ Assault Vest
Ability: Water Absorb
Tera Type: Water
EVs: 120 HP / 208 Atk / 96 Def / 84 SpD
Brave Nature
IVs: 0 Spe
- Earthquake
- Gunk Shot
- Liquidation
- Megahorn

In Clod we trust. So I obviously chose water absorb for recovery and an immunity. Then I went with an assault vest cause I didn’t want to go choice band since that just didn’t seem right. Tera water help defensively and with powering up liquidation. With the other moves being earthquake and gunk shot for their stab and Megahorn for psychic types.

The King (Incineroar) @ Leftovers
Ability: Intimidate
Tera Type: Grass
EVs: 28 HP / 68 Atk / 128 Def / 108 SpD / 176 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Trailblaze
- Flare Blitz
- Close Combat
- Knock Off

The King of competitive pokemon. I went with an intimate and leftovers set. Trailblaze to increase speed, knock off and flare blitz for stab, and close combat for coverage. My evs are all over the place. I don’t know what I was doing.

Not a real bird (Skarmory) @ Leftovers
Ability: Sturdy
Tera Type: Ground
EVs: 200 HP / 88 Atk / 172 SpD / 48 Spe
Careful Nature
- Stealth Rock
- Tailwind
- Brave Bird
- Spikes

Skarmory is my main setter. With stealth rock, tailwind, and spikes he can set up some chip for later. Brave bird is nice too. I went with Tera ground to cover both of its weaknesses defensively.

Loooong (Raging Bolt) @ Choice Specs
Ability: Protosynthesis
Tera Type: Electric
EVs: 252 HP / 252 SpA / 4 SpD
Quiet Nature
IVs: 20 Atk / 20 Spe
- Dragon Pulse
- Thunderclap
- Thunderbolt
- Volt Switch

I don’t think I need to explain this it’s pretty standard. Though I have to have three line explaining so… He got a long neck. And he hits hard with choice specs. Mostly electric moves so I hope I don’t have to use this against a ground type.

Butthead (Farigiraf) @ Leftovers
Ability: Armor Tail
Tera Type: Fire
EVs: 252 HP / 252 SpA / 4 SpD
Quiet Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Trick Room
- Nasty Plot
- Psychic
- Tera Blast

Trick room, nasty plot, and armor tail Farigiraf is underrated. Trick room also pairs mice with clodsire’s low speed. Psychic for stab and Tera fire for coverage.

Ludicolo @ Life Orb
Ability: Swift Swim
Tera Type: Water
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Modest Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Rain Dance
- Giga Drain
- Surf
- Ice Beam

I just ludicolo on here for type coverage and I needed another special attacker. Rain dance and swift swim are nice. It helps surf and giga drain and ice beam are cool I guess.

Alright bro I'm here to rate this team....
and i have to be honest: nothing here is good.
:Clodsire: This guy has the attack stat of a pre-evolution and the speed of a little cup star. Assault vest only marginally helps his already good special defense and while the moveset might hit some things, it won't ever get a chance to do so between hazards and faster opponents.
:Incineroar: While good in doubles there is a reason this guy is in NU, low speed and bad type weaknesses make him a liability not to mention the entire metagame revolves around having multiple checks to physical dark types (kingambit and moon) so he is doing nothing useful here. Not to mention the 4 attack set is pretty bad and the EVs aren't hitting anything specifically good.
:Skarmory: No roost?? bro...
:Raging Bolt: A standard set (ish) is good to see but the lack of any hazard control and weakness stacking with clod and Incineroar limits what it can do.
:Farigiraf: Offensive trick room sets have way better choices, try Hatterene, Hoopa-Unbound, or even Cresselia before this.
:Ludicolo: Not only is manual rain just way too slow to work in this metagame, you have chosen a modest nature and gotten me outsped by darkrai :woo: Please stop the madness.

Overall funny team but yeah this is not salvageable. For a serious reason why I would say that Clodsire is a good example of a pokemon who is only in OU for one reason and that's its defensive offerings. Hazards, recovery, special defense, unaware IS the pokemon as far as OU is concerned, and even the rare Water Absorb set usually ends up being less effective even if that's the only change.

As for gimmick teambuilding, I would recommend trying one hot take at a time. Therefore when your poopmon dies at least you can swap into booster valiant (agency agency).

I was just laughing the whole time I was reading this. So what you’re saying is it could work. Jokes aside this team is like a half joke. Yes it’s bad and it’s done on purpose but I also like using pokemon not seen as very good to catch people off guard.
