Other Metagames Please rate my gen 8 staaabmons team

This is my first competitive team and I'm not good at this so don't expect anything god tier. It'll make my day if someone sees this so plz rate

Duraludon @ Assault Vest
Ability: Dragon's Maw
EVs: 4 Atk / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Naive Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Steel Beam
- Eternabeam
- Dark Pulse
- Body Press

Duraludon's role is nothing special, just an all-out attacker, probably a suicidal one as well. Dragon's Maw is there simply to obliterate anything that may stand up to it and boost Eternabeam just in case a regular STAB eternabeam is not enough. Steel Beam is also there for STAB, Body Press for crippling anything else that would not take a super effective hit from Eternabeam or Steel Beam. Dark Pulse is there because I got lazy, and I have an Assault vest because Duraludon's base Sp. Defense is paper, and it doesn't matter if it makes it so that I can only use attacking moves.

Inteleon @ Scope Lens
Ability: Sniper
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Snipe Shot
- Air Slash
- U-turn
- Blizzard

I was reading one of my old Pokemon Platinum walkthrough books the other day and found this really good combo. Drapion+scope lens+cross poison+sniper=kaboom. So that got me thinking, 'can I use this on Inteleon?' *Spoilers: I did.* So I have snipe shot for STAB and crit rate, Blizzard to cover for grass types, Air slash for another high crit rate and in case snipe shot runs out of pp, and u turn in case inteleon is really low on hp. also coverage for grass.

Espeon @ Life Orb
Ability: Magic Bounce
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Freezing Glare
- Reflect
- Light Screen
- Shadow Ball

Espeon's here just because it's my fave, so there was now way I could leave it out. Freezing glare for STAB and paralysis, light screen and reflect because most of my mons are very frail, and also because it's cool. I have shadow ball for ghost coverage and magic bounce because not a lot of people realize how viable it is.

Regieleki @ Magnet
Ability: Electric Surge
EVs: 4 Atk / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Hasty Nature
- Assurance
- Rain Dance
- Rising Voltage
- Ancient Power

Regieleki is easily the fastest mon in the metagame, even the National dex! Pretty good offensive stats, so I knew I couldn't miss out on this oppertunity. Electric Surge+Rising Voltage is such an obvious yet good combo, and rain dance in case I'm (Somehow) I'm doing doubles STAAABMONS and pair it with inteleon. Ancient power to tank up and assurance in case any Choice scarf or quick claw regielekis come along.

Centiskorch @ Blunder Policy
Ability: Adaptability
EVs: 248 HP / 252 Atk / 8 SpA
Lonely Nature
- Magma Storm
- U-turn
- Coil
- Thunder Fang

I'm so happy that Centiskorch is in this format (Why wouldn't it be?) and I think I did a good job adding it. I have adaptability so that magma storm and u turn do more damage. (duh) Magma storm for a super strong fire spin and STAB, with U turn acting as a damaging emergency exit and STAB. Coil replacing a potential dragon dance for Duraludon, and thunder fang to take out flying types and water types. (Leon i promise i did not steal charizard's moveset plz dont sue)

Roserade @ Miracle Seed
Ability: Chlorophyll
EVs: 4 Atk / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Hasty Nature
- Solar Beam
- Dazzling Gleam
- Gunk Shot
- Sunny Day

I found Roserade while I was googling for good grass types that aren't venusaur or Rillaboom. Don't ask why. ANYWAY, I found it and dug deeper and found that Roserade was a potentially good pokemon. So yeah. I have Solar Beam for STAB, paired with Sunny Day, Chlorophyll and Miracle Seed for big boy damage. Gunk Shot for STAB and more crazy damage, Dazzling Gleam to cover for ghost and dark types that may threaten Espeon. Solar Beam over Solar Blade because Roserade's base Attack is horrible, and its SpA is op, so my brain wet to work and here it is.

So that's my staaabmons team. Again, if you are reading this, please rate and tell me what i can do to fix it. Be as mean as you like, but no swearing. criticize me, i just want to be better.

Unfortunately, most of these pokemon are not viable (or at least, not meta) picks in StAAAb.
Note: If magearna gets banned this becomes outdated like almost instantly. Same thing, if Magearna doesn't get banned but other threats do

Duraladon:
While it has a great typing, its stats are just too low. Heatran is a more viable pick that is a steel type, and dragon has Latios.
I would not recommend Steel Beam without Magic Guard; 50% is just too much recoil. Don't use eternabeam (or hyperbeam) at all either; even if you KO they will have a free turn to set up afterwards.
I will be using Heatran here, as a semi-defensive wallbreaker.
Heatran @ Life Orb
Ability: Magic Guard
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Modest Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Mind Blown
- Steel Beam
- Taunt
- Stealth Rock

Mind Blown and Steel Beam are stronger than Duraladon's Steel Beam, and thanks to Magic Guard, do not give recoil. Taunt and Stealth Rock are support moves that break Chansey and the opponent's team, respectively. Heatran has a good defensive typing too.

Inteleon:
Inteleon has a decent speed tier; although there are many mons that outspeed it. The somewhat common Water Absorb and Desolate Land beat it. Sniper is really a gimmick; Primordial Sea gives you the same power and frees your item slot. I don't think Inteleon is bad, but because your team has too many special attackers I'll replace it with a physical, more meta, similar water type: Barraskewda.
Barraskewda @ Choice Band
Ability: Primordial Sea
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Surging Strikes
- Drill Run
- Aqua Jet
- Flip Turn

Barraskewda is fast - outspeeding threats like Weavile that Intellion can't, and similarlly strong. Surging Strikes also autocrits, without forcing an item and ability slot. Choice Band and Primordial Sea gives a 2.25* boost on their own! Flip Turn would be U-Turn; but Skewda does not learn the latter; giving a strong Stab move to wear down checks. The rest is just filler but may be useful.

Espeon:
Espeon is outclassed by Latios; which just as strong and just as fast; and bulkier, has more coverage, and a secondary STAB. Magic Bounce is viable, just not on a fast frail attacker like Espeon. I'll preserve Espeon for the RMT, though.
Espeon @ Choice Specs
Ability: Psychic Surge
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Expanding Force
- Psystrike
- Dazzling Gleam
- Trick

Expanding Force + Psychic Surge is an amazing combo that can bop foes, its absurd what you can do - break through resists easily. Psystrike allows you to hit Chansey and deal more damage against AV Magearna. Dazzling Gleam hits dark types. Trick allows you to cripple a foe once you are almost down.

If you want to use Latios, replace Dazzling Gleam with Draco Meteor or Dragon Energy but use the same set otherwise. Latios also can be a Dragon's Maw attacker if you really wanted.
Latios @ Choice Specs
Ability: Psychic Surge / Dragon's Maw
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Expanding Force
- Psystrike / Clanging Scales
- Dragon Energy / Draco Meteor
- Trick / Mythical Fire

Regieleki:
Eleki is where I would say the team has too little defense; plus, Barraskewda fills in roughly the same role. I would make a funny joke about how I would replace Eleki with an Eleki counter, but that's the next slot. I will replace this with Magerna then; while its fate is unknown, it is useful for checking all sorts of threats in this current metagame.

Magearna @ Assault Vest
Ability: Regenerator
EVs: 248 HP / 76 Def / 184 SpA
Modest Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Moonblast
- Doom Desire
- Ice Beam
- Volt Switch
Standard Magearna. Checks Latios, Kyurem, Weavile, among others.

Centiskortch:
Centiskorch can check a few specific threats with its type; but not enough. Another fire type can do its role better - Moltres.
Moltres @ Heavy-Duty Boots
Ability: Volt Absorb
EVs: 248 HP / 184 SpA / 76 SpD
Quiet Nature
IVs: 0 Spe
- Blue Flare
- Defog
- Roost
- U-turn

My personal set. 76 SpD allows you to Roost stall Heatran. Blue Flare is a strong move, period. Defog allows you to clear hazards, which can prove to be very useful against certain teams (like Webs teams). Volt Absorb allows you to beat Regieleki and force Volt Switch users, i.e. Magearna to hardswitch.

Roserade:
Overall you need a *water* check, and Roserade is a bit frail (and slow and not that strong). Ferrothorn is another Grass Type that is more defensive.
E: Using ferrothorn kinda forces you to sack against Urshifu-R but idk how common that is. Fini also checks waters and is overall better for the team.
Tapu Fini is an option, checking fighting types better, unable to be trapped, and can pivot to your own offensive threats.
Tapu Fini @ Rocky Helmet
Ability: Regenerator
EVs: 248 HP / 8 Atk / 252 Def
Relaxed Nature
IVs: 0 Spe
- Moonblast
- Calm Mind
- Moonlight
- Flip Turn
Regenerator allows you to keep on regaining health. Fini helps in beating opposing barraskewda/Urshifu-R, Weavile, and helps with the FIghitng matchup. Calm Mind + Regen + Flip TUrn seems weird, but it allows Fini to role compress by breaking and pivotting.

If wanting to preserve using a grass, use Ferrothorn
Ferrothorn @ Rocky Helmet / Shed Shell
Ability: Dauntless Shield / Flash Fire
EVs: 248 HP / 8 Atk / 252 Def
Relaxed Nature
IVs: 0 Spe
- King's Shield / Protect
- Strength Sap
- Knock Off
- Gyro Ball / Power Whip

I'm not sure if this set is actually good, but its servicable. Ferrothron is much bulkier than Roserade and provides a secondary check to what Magearna checks like Weavile, and also checks opposing Barraskewda.

So that's it; lots of changes but it should hopefully make the team better.
