:ogerpon: Pivot (Ogerpon) @ Heavy-Duty Boots

Tera Type: Grass
Jolly Nature

- Knock Off
- U-turn
- Encore

Ogerpon's high Attack and Speed along with its access to Defiant make it a reliable pivot and potent wallbreaker that can punish common defensive structures. Knock Off gives Ogerpon a complementary coverage option to Ivy Cudgel and can dissuade switch-ins such as Gholdengo; it also allows Ogerpon to support its team by removing the opposing Pokemon's held item, notably crippling Rock-weak Pokemon like Dragonite and Kyurem that rely on Heavy-Duty Boots. U-turn is a fantastic option that can maintain momentum while safely bringing in one of Ogerpon's teammates, in addition to dealing heavy damage to Grass-resistant foes such as Rillaboom and Roaring Moon. Encore can be used to shut down defensive walls like Alomomola and Dondozo, as well as slow setup sweepers like Kingambit and Raging Bolt. Tera Grass gives Ogerpon a massive boost in power to its Ivy Cudgel, giving it enough firepower to 2HKO Hatterene and Landorus-T without a Defiant boost, and the +1 Speed boost from Embody Aspect allows it to outrun and threaten would-be faster Pokemon such as Meowscarada and Zamazenta.

Ogerpon should feel right at home on bulkier teams in need of a fast pivot. It struggles to make progress against Fire-types such as Gouging Fire and Heatran, often requiring them to be weakened or removed in order to start threatening teams. Thus, Garganacl and Gliscor make great teammates as they manage to consistently switch into and threaten these Pokemon, set entry hazards for Ogerpon to take advantage of, and easily spread chip damage to wear down the opposing team. Ogerpon's ability to threaten Water-types like Primarina and Ogerpon-W is also greatly appreciated by both Pokemon. Alomomola is another valuable teammate thanks to its high bulk, low Speed, and access to Flip Turn allowing it to safely and consistently bring Ogerpon onto the field, as well as being able check the likes of Gouging Fire and Zamazenta. Additionally, Ogerpon with another fast wallbreaker can make for an efficient and potent wallbreaking core; therefore, Pokemon such as Weavile and Deoxys-S that help overwhelm Ogerpon's checks like Corviknight and Moltres Make excellent teammates. it also enjoys having these Pokemon as naturally faster teammates as opposed to relying on Terastallization for speed control, and it likewise appreciates them for being able to threaten bulkier Dragon-types like Dragonite and Raging Bolt. Lastly, special tanks such as Galarian Slowking and Ting-Lu can safely switch in on powerful special wallbreakers like Dragapult and Iron Moth, and they also appreciate Ogerpon's reliability in punishing switch-ins like Landorus-T.

Knock Off gives Ogerpon a complementary coverage option to Ivy Cudgel, and can dissuade switch-ins from the likes of Gholdengo; it also allows Ogerpon to support its team by removing the opposing Pokemon's held item perhaps mention how removing items w/ knock off lets it punish common switch-ins better; dnite stands out especially, but stuff like zamazenta, moltres, etc. are also applicable. U-turn is a fantastic option that can maintain momentum while safely bringing in one of Ogerpon's teammates, in addition to dealing heavy damage to Grass resists such as Rillaboom and Roaring Moon. Encore can be used for disruption, notably for how it can shut down slow setup sweepers like Kingambit and Raging Bolt. Tera Grass gives Ogerpon a massive boost in power to its Ivy Cudgel any pokemon in particular this power boost is helpful against?, and the +1 Speed boost from Embody Aspect allows it to outrun and threaten would-be faster Pokemon such as Meowscarada and Zamazenta.

Ogerpon's ability to threaten Water-types like Primarina fair, but mentioning jsut water-types feels somewhat redundant when its just primarina, perhaps either include another one or two waters or just reword it to be more general is also greatly appreciated by both Pokemon. Additionally, pairing Ogerpon with another fast wallbreaker can make for an efficient and potent wallbreaking core, therefore Pokemon such as Weavile and Deoxys-S overwhelm Ogerpon's checks such as Corviknight and Moltres; it also enjoys having these Pokemon as naturally faster teammates, as opposed to relying on Terastalization for speed control. Lastly, special walls such as Ting-Lu and Tinkaton can safely switch in on powerful special wallbreakers like Dragapult and Darkrai, and they also appreciate Ogerpon's reliability in punishing switch-ins from the likes of Landorus-T.

you can also make another blurb mentioning alomomola as a good defensive partner bc of pivot synergy + effectiveness into stuff like dnite zama gouging fire etc.

Tera Grass gives Ogerpon a massive boost in power to its Ivy Cudgel any thresholds tera hits? ive found it guarentees 2hko on hatterene (and fast lando without a defiant boost), there might be others if you want to look, and the +1 Speed boost from Embody Aspect allows it to outrun and threaten would-be faster Pokemon such as Meowscarada and Zamazenta.

Lastly, special walls such as Ting-Lu and Tinkaton is tinkaton really worth mentioning as a special "wall"? i think primarina is a much better pick (or gking, if you want to swap one of the wallbreaker examples, i personally think wake would be better than pult), though you might have to tweak the last part of the sentence can safely switch in on powerful special wallbreaker like Dragapult and Darkrai, and they also appreciate Ogerpon's reliability in punishing switch-ins from the likes of Landorus-T.
Would like to see a mention of the dragons ie bolt or dnite and mons that help ogerpon deal with it (you can even just add them in on the "fast wallbreaker" section, just think its worth mentioning

Ogerpon should feel right at home on bulkier teams in need of a fast pivot. It struggles to make progress against Fire-types such as Gouging Fire and Heatran, often requiring them to be weakened or removed in order to start threatening teams; thus,. Thus, (period; p lengthy sentence so no need to join using semicolon) Garganacl and Gliscor make for great teammates, (AC) as they manage to consistently switch in on and threaten these Pokemon, can set entry hazards for Ogerpon to take advantage of, and can easily spread chip damage to wear down the opposing team. Ogerpon's ability to threaten Water-types like Primarina and Ogerpon-W is also greatly appreciated by both Pokemon. Alomomola is another valuable teammate thanks to its high bulk, slow low Speed, and access to Flip Turn allowing it to safely and consistently bring Ogerpon onto the field, as well as being able check the likes of Gouging Fire and Zamazenta.
