Done Permanently turn off April Fool's Day sprites

Many people do not enjoy the April Fool's battle sprites and want to turn them off. However, every time you close your tab or browser, the sprites turn back on. It is tedious to continuously turn them off each time. I humbly request that if a user turns them off, they stay off until opted back in.

Hecate please help I know this seems trivial but it is annoying to run the command every time we refresh

It should be persisting as is, and has for some years now (I forgot to mark this thread as done) but one check was not properly respecting the disabling. Should cover whatever issue you were having - if it's still not persisting, check your browser settings and ensure you're not disabling localStorage.
