move 2: Hydro Pump / Surf
move 3: Ice Beam

item: Damp Rock
ability: Drizzle
nature: Quiet / Relaxed
tera type: Ground / Grass
evs: 252 HP / 252 SpA / 4 Def
ivs: 0 Spe

[SET COMMENTS]

* Hydro Pump significantly weakens opponents when rain-boosted, often picking up surprise KOs.

* The choice between Hurricane and Roost is a matter of coverage versus longevity. Hurricane gives Pelipper a powerful secondary STAB move, while Roost takes advantage of its decent physical bulk, increasing its staying power. This is particularly useful in weather wars.

*A Quiet or Relaxed nature with 0 Speed IVs are used to underspeed uninvested Hippowdon, giving Pelipper the initial advantage in weather wars.

*An alternative EV spread of 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 SpA gives Pelipper a better matchup against dominant, powerful physical attackers like Choice Banded Dragpault and Extremespeed Dragonite. In addition, 252 Spe and SpA can be used to outspeed uninvested Corviknight and others in that Speed tier for a more offensive build.

Tera Types

========

**Ground**: Tera Ground gives Pelipper an immunity to Volt Switch, which is often used against it early-game. This wastes a turn for the opponent and gives Pelipper the chance to safely U-turn or deal massive damage with a rain-boosted Hydro Pump.

**Grass**: Tera Grass is a viable option for Rotom-W, which primarily uses Hydro Pump on lead while providing a Volt Switch resistance.

Items

========

* Choice Specs can be used to take advantage of Pelipper's powerful STAB moves, while Sitrus Berry provides longevity on defensive sets.

- I think Grass is worth a mention as a Tera Type, mostly because some Rotom-W will call your bluff and Hydro Pump. Granted, you won't do a lot to them unless you use Tera Blast (Ive seen it before but idk about that, I'll leave that up to you). I don't think Grass needs to be slashed in regardless.

- I think Surf is worth a slash in just for the reliability, though Hydro Pump should still be the primary. I'd mention that Hydro Pump OHKOs specially defensive Hippowdon in the rain which is REALLY cool, Surf needs Choice Specs to pull that off.

- I'd give Pelipper an Items section, because beyond Choice Specs and Sitrus Berry being pretty surprising to some folks, a lot of players may question why on earth its not just Damp Rock.

- This is gonna sound nuts but.. I think an EVs section with Max Speed as an option is worth conisdering, just because outspeeding some Magnezone, Corviknight, etc can be a pretty big deal for some teams. I've seen some of those (and tried myself) Focus Sash. I don't think Focus Sash is quite worth the slash-in, but it can make sense for really offensive Pelippers.

Anyways, once that stuff is addressed, I'll give this the QC stamp!

* Hydro Pump significantly weakens opponents when rain-boosted, often picking up surprise KOs. is your main source of damage, significantly weakening opponents while boosted in the rain and often picking up surprise KO's

* The choice between Hurricane and Roost is are a matter of coverage versus vs longevity. Hurricane gives Pelipper a powerful secondary STAB move, while Roost takes advantage of its decent physical bulk, allows Pelliper a powerful secondary STAB option while Roost takes advantage of Pelippers above average physical bulk, increasing its staying power. This is particularly useful in weather wars. matches with opposing weather.

*A Quiet or Relaxed nature with 0 Speed IVs relaxed or quiet nature and 0 speed IV's are used to underspeed uninvested Hippowdon, (ac) giving . Giving Pelipper the initial advantage in weather wars.

*An alternative EV spread of 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 SpA gives Pelipper a better matchup against dominant, powerful physical attackers like ___, ___, and ___. (examples would be nice) ev spread of 252 hp / 252 Def/ 4 SpA will better equip Pelipper for the multitude of powerful physical threats dominating the tier. In addition, 252 Spe and SpA can be used to outspeed uninvested Corviknight and others in that Speed speed tier for a more offensive build.

**Ground-type**: Tera Ground gives Pelipper an immunity to Volt Switch, which is often used against it early-game. This wastes a turn for the opponent and gives Pelipper the chance to safely U-turn or deal massive damage with a rain-boosted Hydro Pump. allows Pelliper immunity to the Volt Switches it often attracts early game, leaving the opponent with a wasted turn and Pelipper with an opportunity to safely U-turn or deal massive damage with a rain boosted Hydro Pump.

**Grass-type**: Tera Grass grass is a viable option for Rotom-W, which primarily uses Hydro Pump on lead while providing a Volt Switch resistance. (is this the intended meaning?) Rotom-W's who maybe simply click Hydro Pump while still allowing Pelipper to resist Volt Switch.

* Choice Specs can be used to take advantage of Pelipper's powerful STAB moves, while Sitrus Berry provides longevity on defensive sets. Pelippers powerful STAB options. While Sitrus Berry can lend additional longevity to more defensive spreads.
