Ou Eeveelution

Hey guys I am a fairly new Smogon user so I have decided to post my team. I have always loved Eeveelutions, so I decided to build a team around them.
This isn't a very competitive team, but keep in mind I will not change any of the Pokemon besides possibly Umbreon when Slyveon comes out. Enjoy!

Saikou (Espeon) (M) @ Choice Specs
Trait: Magic Bounce
Shiny: Yes
EVs: 252 Spd / 252 SAtk / 4 HP
Timid Nature
- Psychic
- Shadow Ball
- Grass Knot
- Hidden Power [Fighting]

Espeon is the main sweeper on my team. I gave it Choice Specs for maximum damage so it can just wreck the house. It works well with Umbreon since I can switch to a predicted ghost/dark attack. Magic bounce works well so I can block hazards. I gave it Timid so it can outspeed regular Modest Espeon. As for a moveset, this is pretty straightforward. Psychic is powerful STAB that kills almost anything that doesn't resist it. Hidden Power fighting is for dark and steel types. Grass Knot is there just for coverage. Shadow Ball is for other Psychic types.

Gils (Vaporeon) (M) @ Leftovers
Trait: Water Absorb
Shiny: Yes
EVs: 4 SAtk / 252 HP / 252 SDef
Calm Nature
IVs: 30 SAtk
- Wish
- Ice Beam
- Toxic
- Surf

Vaporeon is a useful wall on my team. It has a ton of bulk and only physical attackers can take it out. Wish is for Jolteon or Espeon if they are low on health. Toxic is for annoying walls so I can outstall them. Surf is obvious STAB. Ice Beam is for Dragons that like to set up. I use Water Absorb over Hydration so I can switch out of Flareon into Vaporeon when there is a Water type out.

Volts (Jolteon) (M) @ Choice Scarfg
Trait: Volt Absorb
Shiny: Yes
EVs: 252 Spd / 252 SAtk / 4 HP
Timid Nature
- Thunderbolt
- Signal Beam
- Shadow Ball
- Hidden Power [Ice]

Jolteon is my revenge killer. If something is Toxiced after stalling with my Vaporeon eventually killing it, Jolteon can most of the time revenge kill nearly anything. It will outspeed nearly everything. Thunderbolt is my STAB move of choice. Signal beam is for Dark types like T-Tar who will try and knock it out with an Earthquake. Shadow Ball is for Ghost and Psychic types. HP Ice is for Dragons.

Flames of Fury (Flareon) (M) @ Leftovers
Trait: Flash Fire
Shiny: Yes
EVs: 252 SDef / 252 HP / 4 SAtk
Calm Nature
- Sleep Talk
- Rest
- Flamethrower
- Hidden Power [Ground]

This is my Flareon. I use him as a defensive Flareon, which helps my defensive core and my weather counter core. HP Ground is for pesky Jirachi, Heatran, or even Ninetales. Flamethrower is for STAB. Rest and Sleep Talk are for more reliable recovering and still offensive. Flash Fire lets me switch him into a predicted fire attack on Leafeon.

When the Moon Rises (Umbreon) (M) @ Leftovers
Trait: Synchronize
Shiny: Yes
EVs: 252 SDef / 252 HP / 4 Def
Calm Nature
IVs: 30 Atk / 30 SAtk / 30 Spd
- Toxic
- Protect
- Moonlight
- Heal Bell

The final part of my defensive/weather counter core. I switch him in on a predicted status infliction, do the same to my opponent, then Heal Bell and also possibly wake up Flareon. Moonlight is to PP stall sun teams and a fairly reliable recovery. Protect is to help Toxic rack up on my opponent. Toxic is for pesky Hazard pokemon.
Shiny (Leafeon) (M) @ Choice Band
Trait: Chlorophyll
Shiny: Yes
EVs: 252 Spd / 252 Atk / 4 HP
Adamant Nature
- Iron Tail
- Leaf Blade
- X-Scissor
- Return

My final pokemon, Leafeon. He is the physical sweeper. I would give him a Scarf, but when facing a sun team he outspeeds nearly everything. Mostly all of his moves are for coverage or pure power. Leaf Blade is powerful STAB and max happiness return hurts. Scissor and Iron Tail is for a plethora of coverage.

That's my team. I realize that my team is very physically frail, so I will be taking suggested spreads for my defensive core. Change log will be directly beneath this.

Okay, it's not particularly competitive, but I'll say somethings:

Flareon is a very bad pokemon. Like, VERY bad. It has a nice attack stat (which you aren't utilizing because of the movepool), but it otherwise has no impressive stats. There are just so much better pokemon that could perform it's role, such as Specially Defensive Heatran. Boasting a far superior defensive typing, better bulk, better offense, a better movepool, and EVEN the lack of SR weakness, whilst still keeping Flash Fire and general fire typing.

Here's a quick couple of calcs for you.

Obviously, Flareon and Heatran have a common neutrality to electric, so I'm going to use a Jolteon as the opponent.
252 SpA Choice Specs Jolteon Thunderbolt vs. 252 HP / 252+ SpD Flareon: 139-165 (41.61 - 49.4%) -- guaranteed 2HKO after Stealth Rock
252 SpA Choice Specs Jolteon Thunderbolt vs. 248 HP / 252+ SpD Heatran: 144-169 (37.4 - 43.89%) -- guaranteed 3HKO after Stealth Rock

So as you can see, you can't really answer Jolteon even. This is because:
0 SpA Flareon Flamethrower vs. 0 HP / 4 SpD Jolteon: 102-121 (37.63 - 44.64%) -- 3.91% chance to 2HKO after Stealth Rock

Anyway, obviously if you're dead set on using the Eeveelutions, then Heatran isn't going to work, but maybe consider it.

Leafeon is also pretty bad, nor should you really be using a Choice Band to sweep. If you want a physical grass-type sweeper, try Technician Breloom. It's less bulky than Leafeon, but it actually gets the job done.

If you're sticking with Leafeon, Iron Tail has gotta go. My suggestion is to change Leafeon's item to a Life Orb and swap Iron Tail for Swords Dance. This'll make it a potent anti-sun. Kinda.

Choice Scarf on Jolteon with Timid is rather overkill. Use modest nature on Jolteon.

On Umbreon you may wish to try Wish => Moonlight in order to have a second wish passer, since you can combo it with protect to heal reliably.

Leafeon and Flareon are the only two Eeveelutions in your team which aren't really viable. Vaporeon, Jolteon, Espeon are all pretty good (OU) and Umbreon is pretty annoying in OU, even if it's UU.

I don't mean to offend you here, but I highly doubt you'll get any serious rates for this team. Eeveelution teams are simply poor gimmicks that lose to pretty much any halfway decent team. The three Eeveelutions already present in OU are the only ones worth considering. If you think it works very well competitively then no offense but you are probably playing against players with considerably low Glicko2 ratings. The only advice I can really give is that if you want to make an "Eeveelution" team, you should not go any further than using Espeon, Jolteon, and Vaporeon (and even then, using Vaporeon on a non-Rain team isn't a particularly good idea). All the other Eeveelutions are either extremely bad in OU or outclassed.

I'm sorry if this sounds harsh, but it needs to be said.

While what everyone has said about eeveelution teams is true, that doesn't mean they can't win or aren't competitive. It just means you have to rely more on surprise, unique sets, and the lack of knowledge and lack of threat that opponents will feel when faced with an eeveelution team. For these reasons, eeveelution teams can be very successful, but it depends entirely on your opponents far more than any other type of team.

I don't have much to add to your team except to say keep experimenting with what works and doesn't work as far as synergy and whatnot goes with your team. I think it can reach above average status as far as ranking goes, it just depends on you and your opponent far more than other, more widely accepted competitive teams. Good luck!
