hi welcome to my analysis of my kyurem team.

With this team, I peaked at 1635.

When I was thinking of team ideas, I've wanted to build around a Pokemon thats in UUBL, so eventual landed on Kyurem. I noticed that Kyurem was conveniently faster than all of the defensive walls in OU, and the fact that they can have easy switch ins from things like Rotom-Wash, Alolamola and Toxapex.

Kyurem @ Choice Specs
Ability: Pressure
Tera Type: Ice
EVs: 4 Def / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Freeze-Dry
- Earth Power
- Hidden Power [Fire]
- Ice Beam

Choice Specs Kyurem gives enough power to shatter through common switch ins, like Mega-Scizor and Ferrothorn, which make spamming Freeze-Dry and Ice Beam significantly easier. A well timed Hidden Power Fire does the trick well enough. Earth Power is useful to hit the other steel types, and I like running Ice Beam over Draco/Dragon Pulse because it has more power if I want to use a mid-ground move when the opponent could switch in a resist. Kyurem acts as an easy way for me to break through common water types so that the rest of my teammates can cleave through the rest. I chose Tera Ice, for a little bit more power if I really need to secure a K.O on a Ferrothorn. I run Timid because I find that being able to always outspeed non-scarf Lando-T and Gliscor. Kyurem also has a really good match-up into rain. Leading Kyurem on a rain team makes sure that the opponent takes massive damage from Freeze-Dry because they always lead Pelipper.

Sneasler @ Choice Band
Ability: Poison Touch
Tera Type: Fighting
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Dire Claw
- Close Combat
- Switcheroo
- U-turn

Choice Band Sneasler benefits greatly from the removal of Toxapex and Landorus-T, especially without Gholdengo in the meta to stop it. I have Switcheroo in order to cripple Glowking and other defensive walls. The rest of it's moves are self explanatory, but I chose Dire Claw over Gunk Shot because I think that random RNG is funnier. Tera Fighting is helpful in really securing important K.Os and a Jolly nature is preferred because speed is important. Sneasler is also the faster Pokemon on the team so it's most useful to keep it alive.

Toxapex @ Rocky Helmet
Ability: Regenerator
Tera Type: Dragon
EVs: 252 HP / 204 Def / 52 SpD
Bold Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Scald
- Toxic
- Haze
- Recover

I became the very thing I swore to destroy with this one. Toxapex is really helpful as an easy switch in to dangerous things like Urshifu and Scizor. Rocky Helmet is useful for getting the important chip on a Scizor spamming Bullet Punch and destroys Urshifu. Future Sight can be a problem but I have more steel types later on. I run Haze so that I can check Wellspring Ogerpon and beat other dangerous sweepers. Toxic is helpful for getting things in kill ranges and I have Recover for more staying power. Tera Dragon is helpful if I need to keep important resists while being able to tank other things neutrally.

Corviknight @ Leftovers
Ability: Pressure
Tera Type: Water
EVs: 252 HP / 4 Def / 252 SpD
Careful Nature
- Brave Bird
- U-turn
- Defog
- Roost

I have Specially Defensive Corviknight to have good synergy with my Toxapex. I have U-turn so that I can safely pivot into Kyurem and Sneasler, and also have Brave Bird to get chip damage off and to absolutely destroy a greedy Volcarona. I always live Flamethrower from +0 so it's perfectly safe. Tera Water is helpful in checking dangerous Fire types in a pinch, more on that later. I've got Pressure to always win a PP war against common stealth rockers and I have Defog too, which is the best in a Gholdengoless metagame. Leftovers is more useful than Rocky Helmet or HDB because I find the passive recovery to be more worthwhile.

Ting-Lu @ Leftovers
Ability: Vessel of Ruin
Tera Type: Ghost
EVs: 252 HP / 4 Def / 252 SpD
Careful Nature
- Earthquake
- Ruination
- Whirlwind
- Spikes

One of my most important defensive pieces that I have. Ting-Lu is crucial in defending against the extremely dangerous Charizard-Y, which completely bulldozes the rest of my team at full health. Max Special Defence is the only Ting-Lu worth running and I have Ruination for chip, Whirlwind to stop dangerous sweepers and Spikes so that Kyurem can pick up easier K.Os. Tera Ghost is to have a useful answer into Great Tusk and to block the spin. This is also my only good switch in against Glowking, and I can threaten it with Earthquake or get spikes up. Glowkings usually stay in so use that however you may please.

Scizor @ Scizorite
Ability: Technician
Tera Type: Bug
EVs: 248 HP / 112 Def / 128 SpD / 20 Spe
Impish Nature
- Swords Dance
- Bullet Punch
- Close Combat
- Roost

Scizor acts as my panic button against dangerous threats. I have Close Combat over U-Turn because I can K.O a Ferrothorn and Swords Dance to boost Bullet Punch. I'm using a more defensive Scizor so I have Roost for longevity and some defensive EVs. Mega Scizor can barely withstand a Mega Swampert in rain, as its probably my best answer that doesn't involve Tera Ting Lu or Toxapex. Scizor also helps against Glimmora and Mega Diancie leads, which can be pretty common. Scizor also helps as a secondary Ground type answer although it doesn't do too much against Great Tusk. This is probably the thing I could interchange the most, as it some match-ups it really doesn't help that much if all the opponent does is go to Zard-Y.

The Team!

And that's the complete team! I had a lot of success with this team and find it quite useful. There are definitely some flaws in the team, which can make it a little bit hopeless against some mons, but with correct play and prediction it can easily destroy some match ups. Kyurem, Sneasler and to some extent Scizor make up the majority of my offence, and Corviknight, Toxapex and Ting-Lu help support it. This team requires good prediction skill to make the most out of, since Kyurem is at it's best when it can score surprise K.Os.

THREATS.

1700368049708.png

Lets play a game, whose the Zard-Y switch in? Exactly, there are none. To be fair, no team has a one-hundred percent safe counter, but this team especially lacks a really good solid one. Ting-Lu is probably your best bet, but a Fire Blast does way more than you would like. The best bet is to hope that the opponent thinks that Solar Beam would do more damage, and then nailing them with a Ruination, leaving them in range for a Sneasler Dire Claw. Even then, thats a little risky because you have to actually get it in. I commonly just Tera Water Corv in order to take a Fire Blast and pivot out. Additionally, since most teams just straight up lead Zard-Y most of the time, you can lead Sneasler and hope for a poison on a U-Turn because Dire Claw never (without a crit.) K.Os from full.

1700368373595.png

A really annoying Pokemon to face, with Future Sight. It just constantly pivots out of danger and regens the health off. Future Sight destroys Toxapex, so you have to use subpar switch ins into Urshifu such as Scizor and Corviknight, which take quite a big chunk. Ting-Lu is necessary in order to deal with this thing and it's shenanigans. Also Switcheroo the Choice Band onto this thing, so that it has to choose between Chilly Reception or Future Sight, and you can smack the next Pokemon coming in for free.

1700368617064.png

Public enemy #1, Stealth Rock is really annoying into this team because it cuts down on Kyurems pretty nice natural bulk which allows it to constantly switch in and bombard the opponent. Get Corviknight in to defog it away as soon as possible. If the opponent tries to punish the Defog, you have other defensive pieces to handle it or Tera Water on Zard-Y to get the Brave Bird chip.

Thank you for reading my run down of one of my least worst teams.

Please rate and put feedback, as I definitely want to get even higher with this team. Here is the Pokepaste if you want to 2HKO Ferrothorn with Tera Ice Ice Beam or OHKO Scizor with HP Fire. I was using this team on an alt, TumbleFellows, because I like laddering with alts because it makes me feel better.
