SM UU OP Mega Aggron sweeping team

this team was something i made because i really love aggron. it works extremely well and is extremely powerful. everyone revolves around aggron and to cover his weaknesses to open space for him to sweep. i would really like to know about this team and if it is good and if i could improve it

Azelf @ Focus Sash
Ability: Levitate
Shiny: Yes
EVs: 252 HP / 4 Atk / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Stealth Rock
- Taunt
- Skill Swap
- Explosion

Azelf is your basic stealth rock setter and is usually the first pokemon to send out. taunt is useful for other lead stealth rock setters and skill swap for pokemon with magic bounce. then lastly explosion so when stealth rocks are up you can do damage.

Chandelure @ Life Orb
Ability: Infiltrator
Shiny: Yes
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Psychic
- Energy Ball
- Flamethrower
- Shadow Ball

Chandelure is your here for wall breakers with the power of life orb and a high special stat. it has a lot of coverage Psychic for Aggron and Hydreigon fighting weakness and Primarina poison weakness, energy ball for coverage and flamethrower and shadow ball are stab

Aggron-Mega @ Aggronite
Ability: Sturdy
Shiny: Yes
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Heavy Slam
- Earthquake
- Stone Edge/Head Smash
- Rock Polish

then the star of the show mega aggron is here as a late game sweeper when the powerful special attackers with super effective moves. i first start with rock polish and with the speed EVs only pokemon with speed 400 and above can outspeed. then all his attacks are for hitting hard and if you don't mind recoil go for Head Smash for extra damage.

Primarina @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Liquid Voice
Shiny: Yes
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Hyper Voice
- Moonblast
- Ice Beam
- Energy Ball

Primarina is there to help cover aggrons weakness to ground and fire with Ice Beam for dragons to cover Hydreigon dragon weakness and energy ball for more water coverage. hyper voice is there just to ignore substitute also ice beam covers grass types. so mostly she is here for team coverage

Hydreigon @ Darkinium Z
Ability: Levitate
Shiny: Yes
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Dark Pulse
- Dragon Pulse
- Flash Cannon
- Earth Power

just like the rest Hydreigon is here to help cover aggron with earth power for fire types and flash cannon for coverage. darkinium z just to deal a lot of damage to bulky pokemon. lastly his main purpose is to help with this teams problem with ghost types.

Crobat @ Life Orb
Ability: Infiltrator
Shiny: Yes
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Defog
- Brave Bird
- Cross Poison
- U-turn

and finally crobat is here to clear entry hazards because sometimes you would need aggrons sturdy before mega evolving. then there is the fact that they can seriously hurt the team and sticky web hurts alot because the team revolves around speed. and he also helps with this teams fighting weakness and fairy weakness and it can also help against special walls because this team is mostly special attackers.

Hey rellcking it is great to see you attempt to build around your favourite Pokemon Mega Aggron. While you have got down a few key components to a team such as hazards, hazard control and type weakness there are quite a lot of flaws to this team. The main thing that sticks out is the sets you are running as none of them are all that viable. It mainly looks like you just selected as many coverage options as you could on each Pokemon. You should defo give the strategy dex a look at to help you if needed, here is a link to a page for Aggron for example. Azelf also doesn't fit that well on this squad as teams like this don't gain much merit from a suicide lead. Ofc with having a lot of odd sets you will have opened up the door to some matchups like stall so I'll do my best to explain my reasonings for my suggestions. I intend to steer away from this HO approach you seem to have taken as Mega Aggron just doesn't fit on it, so with my explanation out of the way I'll get into it.

Major Changes:

krookodile.png
>
azelf.png
: As I said Azelf does nothing for this type of team, so it is the first thing I replaced. Krookodile gives you a ground type which is really nice for preventing your team getting spammed by electric moves like Volt Switch. It also eases your Latias, Gengar and Celebi match-up because it has access to Pursuit to trap them. Stone Edge is opted to revenge Pokemon like Moltres and Mega-Aerodactyl. This will be your new form of speed control as Scarf Primarina is very lacklustre.

crobat.png
: You have a pretty bad match-up when it comes to switching into threats like Primarina and Cobalion so this aims to ease that. Amoonguss also gives you another way to combat Pokemon like Zeraora and Mega Altaria taking pressure off some of your team. Regenerator allows you to gain back HP each time you swap out. Spore puts Pokemon to sleep which can shut down some set-up threats or allow you to break defensive cores. HP [Fire] lets you handle Scizor and other steels, then I opted for Sludge Bomb to punish Togekiss, Malt and Celebi more.

rotom-heat.png

chandelure.png
: So, I needed to give you a new form of hazard removal which is why I opted for Rotom-H. Heattom also gives a flying resist capable of easing your match-up against Moltres and Togekiss while giving you another check to Scizor. Overheat is the stab for this form and Volt Switch generates you some momentum. Toxic allows you to put Pokemon like Latias, Hydra etc. on a timer.

Minor Changes:

aggron-mega.png
(Set Change): This isn't a viable set for Aggron especially when you want to be taking advantage of its great defensive stats + ability. I changed this to a standard defensive Aggron as it eases your match-up against Latias and Scizor. Earthquake is nice coverage for Pokemon like Lucario, Infernape etc. Fire Punch stops you being set-up fodder for bulky SD Scizor. This will also take the role as your Stealth Rock user with replacing Azelf.

(Set Change): Scarf Primarina is unviable on this Pokemon as I mentioned. So I suggest you make this bulky Primarina instead to help it handle threats like Infernape, Hydreigon etc. better thanks to the passive recovery of leftovers and access to Rest. It has access to standard dual stab of Moonblast and Scald. Sleep Talk lets it not be passive when you use Rest. As a note Liquid Voice is also not useful outside of using it on a few niche Echoed Voice sets.

hydreigon.png
(Set Change): 4 Atks Hydreigon should only really be utilized on Specs variants of Hydreigon. I changed it to a 2 Atk Roost + Taunt set because it eases your match-up against Stall and Balance. Dragonium-Z just lets you nuke a lot of fat things and stops Terrakion freely switching into a potential Dark Pulse.

This should work a lot more effectively with more viable sets. You did a good job with the steel-fairy-dragon core to help support Mega Aggron. The team isn't as offensively inclined as your original team, but picking Mega Aggron is very wierd to put on Hyper Offensive squads. As far as threats to this team go, you need to play very carefully around Nasty Plot Lucario. Main thing is to not let it freely set-up on a Krook locked into its dark stab. You can also give this set a try which can nuke a lot of fat Mons but retains the coverage to deal with Luc, Coba and Scizor. I hope you like the suggestions and if you have any questions feel free to ask ^_^
