In this section, make sure to include:
- the role that the Pokémon plays;
- coverage moves that affect its role; in UU CB Scizor's case, Pursuit allowing Scizor to trap fleeing foes in addition to functioning as a wallbreaker;
- a description of the EV spread in one sentence or less; don't focus on "default" things like maximum Attack investment, do give reasoning behind the benchmarks chosen;
- a brief example of teammates that benefit from the analysed Pokemon's presence;
- a brief example of foes that the analyses Pokemon is vulnerable to + teammates to help cover them.

Ogerpon-W excels at being a dangerous wallbreaker and sweeper, as its great speed tier and damage boost from its Wellspring Mask, along with Swords Dance, makes it almost impossible to wall in the long run. It’s typing is also a blessing both offensively and defensively, as it can switch into common Ground- and Water- type moves with Water Absorb, and get in position to threaten common defensive Pokémon like Arghonaut, Garganacl, and Gliscor. Power Whip is usually preferred due to it’s insane damage output usually OHKOing most non-resists after a Swords Dance boost, including OHKOing Snaelstrom and Cresceidon through Multiscale, while Horn Leech could be used to heal out of range of revenge killers like Hemogoblin and Dragapult. Play Rough is for Dragon-types that can easily take Ogerpon-W’s attacks, like Roaring Moon, Dragapult, and Raging Bolt. Knock Off is used to remove Heavy-Duty Boots from it’s checks, wearing them down for it’s teammates, as well as taking out checks like Dragapult and Kitsunoh. Encore can trap Pokémon like Kingambit and Raging Bolt into ineffective moves, giving Ogerpon-W free Swords Dance opportunities to destroy the opposing team with. Ogerpon-W is locked into Water as it’s tera type, allowing it to avoid KO’s from revenge killers like Iron Moth and Iron Valiant.

Ogerpon-W is a great fit on most teamstyles excluding stall, but it’s more useful as a wallbreaker able to create huge dents into opposing team’s defensive cores. Since Ogerpon-W is restricted to the Wellspring Mask, it can easily be chipped down through hazards over the course of the game, which makes hazard removal options like Mollux, Great Tusk, and Equilibra great partners. Due to this, Ogerpon-W can struggle to get in the field safely at times, so slow pivots like Venomicon and Slowking-Galar are useful teammates to allow it to get in safely. Venomicon in particular, as well as Pokémon like Gliscor and Ting-Lu can set hazards for Ogerpon-W, which can make it easier for Ogerpon-W to break through the opposing team. Ogerpon-W can also struggle with bulky Grass- types like Rillaboom and Malaconda, so Pokémon like the aforementioned Venomicon, as well as Pokémon like Hemogoblin and Iron Moth make great partners. In return, Ogerpon-W can chip down or force a terastilization on Pokémon like Cresceidon, Gliscor, and Primarina for these Pokémon to sweep. Although it has a good speed tier, it can still be revenge killed by even faster Pokémon like Darkrai and Dragapult, as well as Pokémon with priority like Hemogoblin, Raging Bolt, or Kingambit if not running Encore, so consider having Pokémon that can switch into these Pokémon, like Ting-Lu, Great Tusk, Garganacl, or Cresceidon that can leave Ogerpon-W healthy to continue breaking down threats later in the game.
