Zapdos's excellent typing and gargantuan stats make it one of the most consistent offensive Pokemon in the metagame. Its typing is amazing offensively, making it an Electric-type that can threaten Great Tusk and Landorus-T. Its great defensive stats let it take hits from the likes of Zamazenta and Gholdengo in a pinch. Roost further boosts this defensive capability, giving Zapdos longevity. Volt Switch is essential for maintaining offensive momentum against Pokemon that Zapdos otherwise struggles with such as Galarian Slowking. Heat Wave heavily pressures Steel-types such as Kingambit, Gholdengo, and Iron Treads. Tera Electric further boosts Zapdos's Thunderbolt's power, notably giving it odds to 2HKO pivot Galarian Slowking and Zamazenta. Alternatively, Tera Steel gives Zapdos extra defensive utility, letting it take Fairy-type attacks and more easily fish for paralysis from Static, while the Poison immunity lets Zapdos more easily switch into Pokemon like Toxapex and Clodsire.

Offensive Zapdos fits best on offense and bulky offense teams looking for a consistent, strong special attacker. Entry hazards from the likes of Great Tusk, Heatran, and Garganacl are heavily appreciated by Zapdos, as their chip damage is essential in helping Zapdos overwhelm common checks to it such as Landorus-T, Galarian Slowking, and Iron Treads. Garganacl also appreciates Zapdos being able to switch in on Ground- and Fighting-type moves from Pokemon like Great Tusk, Zamazenta, and Landorus-T. Thanks to STAB Thunder and Hurricane, Zapdos is a natural fit on rain teams to threaten out bulky Water-types like Toxapex and Dondozo that rain otherwise struggles with. Pelipper also doubles as a slow pivot, letting Zapdos come in without taking any damage. Other offensive Pokemon like Dragapult, Iron Valiant, Kingambit, and Baxcalibur heavily appreciate Zapdos's pivoting and ability to threaten common bulky Pokemon like Great Tusk and Toxapex. Dragapult, in particular, can form a potent VoltTurn core with Zapdos, hitting specially defensive Pokemon like Galarian Slowking and Clodsire for solid damage while appreciating Zapdos forcing out Pokemon like Toxapex and Corviknight. Gholdengo is another excellent offensive teammate, being able to deal with Pokemon like Galarian Slowking and Clodsire that Zapdos otherwise struggles with.

Zapdos's excellent typing and gargantuan stats make it one of the most consistent offensive Pokemon in metagame. It's typing is amazing offensively, hitting common Pokemon such as Great Tusk, Hisuian Samurott, and Amoonguss for super effective damage, To me what makes offensive Zap so cool is not what Pokemon it hits super-effectively, but because of the so few Pokemon that resist both Flying and Electric. Notably, its an Electric-type that threatens Great Tusk and a Flying-type that threatens Kingambit while its great defensive stats let it take hits from the likes of Zamazenta and Gholdengo in a pinch. Roost further exacerbates this defensive capability, giving Zapdos longevity while also removing its Flying-type in the face of Pokemon that commonly use Rock-type moves like Landorus-T and Garganacl. Volt Switch is essential for maintaining offensive momentum against Pokemon that Zapdos otherwise struggles with such as Galarian Slowking and Hydreigon. Heat Wave heavily pressures Steel-types such as Kingambit, Gholdengo, and Iron Treads. Tera Electric further boosts Zapdos's Thunderbolt's power, notably giving it odds to 2HKO Pivot Galarian Slowking and Zamazenta. A mention of the added damage to Volt Switch is warranted here. Alternatively, Tera Steel gives Zapdos extra defensive utility, letting it take Poison- and Fairy-type attacks from Pokemon like Iron Valiant, Enamorus, Scream Tail, Galarian Slowking, and Sneasler. I feel questionable about the mention of these specific pokemon in this context, since all of them have STAB moves or coverage moves that they will often run to punish Terastallizing into a Steel-type. Perhaps throw in a line about Static and how this resistance to their Poison/Fairy STABs gives you a somewhat safer way to fish for paralysis. Moreover, since this is the offensive set, a word about how becoming a Steel-type helps Zapdos offensively should be mentioned here. Does it give it other ways to come in and start launching its strong attacks? Does it give it the opportunity to pivot on Pokemon or moves it otherwise wouldn't

Offensive Zapdos fits best on offense and bulky offense teams looking for a consistent, strong special attacker. Entry hazards from the likes of Great Tusk, Heatran, and Garganacl are heavily appreciated by Zapdos, as their chip damage is essential in helping Zapdos overwhelm common checks to it such as Ting-Lu, Galarian Slowking, and Iron Treads. In particular, Great Tusk also boasts access to hazard removal in the case that Zapdos loses its Heavy-Duty Boots, Heatran has Taunt to prevent the aforementioned checks from making progress against Zapdos, and Gargancl has Salt Cure to chip away at them over time. This sentence is trying to do too much and some of the information, like the line about Salt Cure, feels unneeded. Either reword it so its a bit more focused or axe it altogether. Garganacl also appreciates Zapdos being able to switch in on Ground- and Fighting-type moves from Pokemon like Great Tusk, Zamazenta, and Landorus-Therian. Other offensive Pokemon like Dragapult, Iron Valiant, Kingambit, and Baxcalibur heavily appreciate Zapdos's pivoting and ability to threaten common bulky Pokemon like Great Tusk and Toxapex. Dragapult in particular can form a potent pivoting core with Zapdos, hitting specially defensive Pokemon like Galarian Slowking and Clodsire for solid damage while appreciating Zapdos forcing out Pokemon like Toxapex and Corviknight.

It's typing is amazing offensively, making it an Electric-type that can threaten Great Tusk and Landorus-Therian and a Flying-type that can threaten Kingambit I dont think this is a good example, Tbolt never 2HKOs Gambit and you need to run Heat Wave which is a fourth move slash. Its great defensive stats let it take hits from the likes of Zamazenta and Gholdengo in a pinch. Roost further excasterbates this defensive capability, giving Zapdos longevity while also removing its Flying-type in the face of Pokemon that commonly use Rock-type moves like Landorus-T and Garganacl this feels like fluff. Volt Switch is essential for maintaining offensive momentum against Pokemon that Zapdos otherwise struggles with such as Galarian Slowking and Hydreigon Hydreigon is almost never used <1% usage in July. Heat Wave heavily pressures Steel-types such as Kingambit, Gholdengo, and Iron Treads. Mention Gholdengo somewhere, since it can deal with both Clod and Galarian Slowking. Definitely mention Zap's spot on rain. Rain has emerged as a very strong playstyle and Zap fits naturally with 100% acc Hurricane and Thunders.
