Gliscor @ Leftovers

Ability: Sand Veil
EVs: 252 HP, 4 Def, 252 Spe
Nature: Jolly

Roost

This is the lead, and its purpose is to set up stealth rock, preventing others doing that, and possibly killing some pokemon. With the 252 Speed EVs, i can outspeed a majority of threats, such as Lucario, Heracross, some of the Jirachi variants, Suicune and Gyarados.

Gyarados @ Leftovers

Ability: Intimidate
EVs: 156 HP, 72 Atk, 184 Spe, 96 Def
Nature: Adamant

jc104 suggested that i would drop Crobat for Bulky Dancedos, so here it is. Bulky DD Gyarados forms a classic combination with Electivire, not only luring electric attacks for Vire, but also damaging Electivire's counters for a sweep. Gyarados will also benefit from Starmie's rapid spin significantly.

Cross Chop

Since Gyara lures in some Electric type moves, this pokemon is here. If that happens, i can switch to my Electivire, get a free speed bosst, and possibly sweep the entire team. Ice punch is there for dragon types, Cross Chop is for all the steels, rocks and Darks, who would otherwise spoil the fun, and Thunderpunch is there for STAB, as well as hitting Gyarados, who would otherwise kill me with EQ. I don't know what i have to chose as my last move, can somebody give me advise, because i feel i'm Scizor bait.

Starmie @ Life Orb

Ability: Natural Cure
EVs: 252 Spe, 252 SpA, 4 Hp
Nature: Timid

Rapid Spin

Ice Beam

Thunderbolt

Surf

Not much to say here. Rapid spin to spin my opponents entry hazards away, Surf for STAB, TBolt for Gyarados and Recover to cure The Life Orb Recoil. I chose Life Orb so that i could possibly nail some OHKOs on pokemon, who think i have Leftovers.

Scizor @ Choice Band

Ability: Technician
EVs: 252 Atk, 248 HP, 8 Spe
Nature: Adamant

U-Turn

Bullet Punch

Superpower

Pursuit

Scizors sole purpose is to come in, kill and switch out. Latias will be scared to death and try to switch out, only to be killed by Pursuit. Bullet Punch has to be on Scizor's moveset, Superpower is for Steel's and Dark's like Magnezone, Umbreon, Empoleon, and to be certain that I can take out Blissey. U-turn to get damage on pokemon that are slower than you.

Infernape @ Life Orb

Ability: Blaze
EVs: 252 Atk, 60 SpA, 196 Spe
Nature: Hasty

Close Combat

Overheat

U-Turn

Stone Edge

This MixApe acts as my Mixed Sweeper. Close Combat to nail Blissey, which thinks I might be Specially orientated, and to 2HKO Vaporeon and Milotic. Overheat for Grass, Ice and Bug. Stone Edge for additional coverage and to kill Gyarados, who think they can set up on me, and U-turn when i can't handle it anymore.

Crobat @ Black Sludge

EVs: 100 HP, 156 Atk, 252 Spe

Roost

This Pokemon acts as a scout. Since it is the fastest sleep inducer in the game, most people will likely switch out, and then Crobat can either stay in and Roost of the damage it has, or switch out by using U-turn and switch to a appropriate counter.

So that's my team. Suggestions are more then welcome :toast:

Yo. Decent team for a beginner but I have a suggestion. First off, why do you have crobat? Scizor already acts as a scout, and I can't see crobat doing anything for this team. The obvious thing is to change crobat to a sweeper that lures electric attacks while providing great synergy with the rest of your team. Currently I see a pretty big heatran weakness since starmie is very frail and will easily take 50 from an unboosted fire blast. I think the best change is to make crobat an offensive gyarados. Gyarados is monstorously powerful and also counters lucario and scizor which your team has some troubles with.

Definitely run ice beam>recover on starmie so shit won't set up on you so easily and to provide coverage.

Life orb on infernape to provide more power overall.

Looks nice so good luck!

Hello.

I think you would benefit from changing the spread of your lead Gliscor a little. There is very little point trying to 2HKO Metagross, since normally you should use taunt, followed by Stealth Rock. I would suggest a spread of 252hp (Gliscor's mediocre HP should always be maximised) 4 def 252spe. The 252spe guarantees a speed tie against other Gliscor. Very few leads will use the number set out in the analysis, and this simply helps to avoid any such mindgames.

To be honest, I think that a Mixed Electivire set is generally preferable. Although Tbolt comes off a weaker attacking stat, its greater base power really makes up for this, and being mixed makes Electivire much more difficult to wall. At current, you will have little hope of breaking through physical walls like Swampert, Forretress, Rotom-A and others. With HP grass you can tear through swampert, and pose more of a threat to steels with Flamethrower.

I think that Crobat is doing pretty little for your team. You already have two effective scouts, and I feel you could include something more of an offensive threat. Bulky DD Gyarados forms a classic combination with Electivire, not only luring electric attacks for Vire, but also damaging Electivire's counters for a sweep. Gyarados will also benefit from Starmie's rapid spin significantly.

You should not use that spread on CB Scizor. 252spe is not necessary given that much of the time Scizor's speed can be bypassed by using Bullet punch. A slow U-turn also has value, allowing a frail sweeper like Infernape to come in for free. It is also beneficial to go second much of the time with superpower against other scizor, since the def drop kicks in if you go first. Therefore 8 spe is recommended. I would then suggest 248hp 252atk. 248 HP means that you take less entry hazard damage than with 252 hp, but providing the bulk required to come in, scout and check threats.

Good luck

Thanx for your comments. I changed a lot of things in my team, but i have one question left: Shall i keep life orb on Starmie, or shall i give it leftovers?
