Do you want to keep the tourney after each season?

  • the tourney is unique and why I contribute

Scarf Toxtricity Voltturn
:toxtricity::incineroar::uxie::flamigo::gastrodon::copperajah:

This offensive team centers around a pivoting core with Scarf Toxtricity and Banded Flamigo, but its defensive core is also quite sturdy. I brought it vs Showl for FCL and had a pretty convincing win.

:toxtricity::choice-scarf:
The offense of this team is run by Choice Scarf Toxtricity, who can catch surprise kills and force switches while repositioning with Volt Switch and has late game cleaning potential with Tera Normal Boomburst.

:flamigo::choice-band:
Choice Band Flamigo is a great complementary breaker for Toxtricity with its Ground immunity and ability to 2HKO the entire tier. If you can get this mon in the right situations, it has very few switch-ins.

:uxie::colbur-berry:
I've been loving physically defensive Uxie lately for its role compression, adding Stealth Rock, a sturdy Fighting resist, pivoting with U-turn, and stallbreaking power with Knock Off + Psychic Noise. Colbur helps us tank Knock Offs from stuff like Alolan Muk and Incineroar, letting us use our own Knock Off to greatly limit their longevity.

:incineroar::heavy-duty-boots:
Specially defensive Incineroar is a great partner with Uxie, covering its weakness to special attackers like Chandelure and serving as a Knock Off switch-in in a pinch. The slow pivoting it provides is extremely helpful for our offensive core, and having more Knock Off is never something to complain about.

:gastrodon::rocky-helmet:
Gastrodon helps with our team's mounting weakness to Water-type attacks, and with Rocky Helmet helps out a lot in the HO matchup versus Cinccino, Scyther, along with having a way to punish U-turn spam. Spikes complements our pivot spam very well and helps us wear down walls much easier over the course of a game.

:copperajah::assault-vest:
Assault Vest Copperajah is a specially defensive tank that helps us out a lot in the OTR Diancie matchup (which it underspeeds), and also works as a solid switch-in versus special attackers like Munkidori and Porygon-Z. The additional coverage offered by Play Rough helps hit stuff like Wetbull and Altaria. While adding a third Knock Off user might seem redundant, it's crucial to remove boots for our hazard stacking win condition.
not even thanking me for the negligible amount of help i offered for this team, smh my head my head

:flamigo::munkidori::zoroark::copperajah::swampert::decidueye:
Scarf Migo + ZoroMunki
Fake Out Munkidori gets poison chip on bulky Psychic-, Ground-, and Dark-types for Choice Scarf Flamigo and Swords Dance Zoroark to sweep. Copperajah provides hazards and can handle Alolan Muk, Swampert offers a defensive pivot that also deals with Alolan Muk, Decidueye brings hazard control and takes care of Gastrodon.
istg i laddered with this team a lot beforehand, but i couldn’t find replays. so, i hopped on ladder and got a game:

Double Bulky Dual Dance HO
:cinccino: :flamigo: :porygon-z: :diancie: :flygon: :tornadus:

Instead of taking a balance approach, I decided to take an HO approach with Flamigo. I decided to do a bulky dual dance set for Flamigo, taking inspiration from the bulky dual dance set PZ uses. The EV spread on Flamigo outspeeds scarf Infernape and prevents download PZ from getting a SpA boost when it comes in on Flamigo. The PZ spread has some defense EVs while also prevent Download PZ from getting a SpA boost. Diancie is here to help with the opposing HO matchup. Flygon is nice sweeper on HO, appreciates PZ being able to deal with mons like Avalugg. I have Clear Amulet on Flygon to prevent Intimidate shuffling from working against Flygon. Tornadus with Adrenaline Orb is nice to get a speed boost off of Intimidate mons like Incineroar and Waterbull and Firebull, with Tera Blast Ground letting Tornadus deal with mons like AMuk, Bellibolt, Toxtricity, and Diancie.

SD Migo Fake Balance
:flamigo::munkidori::chandelure::cinccino::gligar::vaporeon:

I wanted to try something different with flamigo, so I built with SD lum berry. A lot of teams are checking flamigo by scouting/predicting whatever move it locks into, then going into the appropriate check. I wanted to suprise some of those teams with SD (and/or just not being choiced!) Lum berry is so that we can click into belibolt, not immediately get scald burned, and have an easier time vs p2 (which munki and chandy need the help with.) Scarf munk is a great paring with migo as we all know -- it gets migo in vs things that don't like facing the flamingoat. Chandy is another breaker/steel punish and it likes how flamigo can remove/punish incin (we can come in on wisp too with lum.) Cinc is a fast mon + keeps hazards off and appreciated the holes flamigo can knock in teams (weakening/removing belis, helmet amoonguss, other contact punishes etc.) Gligar is here as a rocker, pivot, amuk switch in, flygon check, kilo check (can trade and get it into scarf munki range), and fighting resist. Sub cm vapo rounds out the team as another surprise wincon that does a great job punishing bulky waters. Team looks more like balance at a glance with gligar vapo, but its really offense with a slow pivot in gligar.

Offensive Grimmsnarl and Scarf Flamigo
:Grimmsnarl: :Flamigo: :Slowbro-Galar: :Copperajah: :Flygon: :Vaporeon:

So I decided to run scarf Flamigo but instead of partnering it with Munkidori I decided to pair it with Grimmsnarl. I run an offensive pivot set on Grimmsnarl to get out from bad match ups plus its makes it very easy for my defensive walls to better handle wallbreakers. Slowbro Galar helps handle opposing Flamigo and physical wallbreakers, while Copperajah can help handle many special attackers like Toxtricity and Porygon-Z. Vaporeon is my bulky water that can pass wishes to my defensive walls and I decided to run haze to prevent any setup attempts. Lastly, Flygon is my setup cleaner after Grimmsnarl or Flamigo overwhelming opponents allowing Flygon to setup Dragon Dance and freely sweep a team.

S3W10: Dollar Store Legendaries

:sv/duraludon::sv/gastrodon-east::sv/torterra::sv/inteleon:
This week, we’ll be using Legendary Pokemon! As generation nine introduced Koraidon, Miraidon, and Terapagos, we’ll be honoring them in name alone! Choose one Pokemon from each list to have on your team below, totaling to two chosen! Happy building!
KoraiDON & MiraiDON:
(one of the below)
- Bastiodon
- Gastrodon
- Duraludon
- Rhydon
- any NFE / LC with “don” in its name

TErapagos:
(one of the below)
- Tentacruel
- Jolteon
- Banette
- Torterra
- Gothitelle
- Inteleon
- Brute Bonnet
- any NFE / LC with “te” in its name

:duraludon::thwackey::torterra::grafaiai::tauros-paldea-blaze::oricorio-pa'u:
duraluDON & torTErra GTerrain
Duraludon provides Stealth Rock, an offensive pivot, and a way to surprise Bronzong with Dark Pulse. Thwackey offers Terrain for the entire team to capitalize on. Torterra beats Ground- and Water-types for Duraludon, Grafaiai, and Firebull. Tera Ghost brings nice immunities, and Tera Blast Ghost clears Bronzong and friends. Grafaiai beats Grass-types, acts as Speed control, and is an easy Alolan Muk switch-in. Firebull handles Steel-types and Incineroar while enjoying both Leftovers's and Grassy Terrain's passive healing. Psycorio is a dumb mon that clicks button, and it’s easily backed up by Grafaiai, Duraludon, and Torterra, which can surprise Copperajah and Bronzong with their coverage moves.

BruTE Bonnet+RhyDON Offense

For this week, I decided to go with brute bonnet and rhydon, because I feel like besides there fighting weakness (which is annoying, but dealable with, especially since rhydon can usually take one CC and respond back), they complement each other well defensively. Seed bomb, sucker and cc are all mostly self explanatory on bonnet, but zen headbutt can deal with flamigo, amoonguss and tauros blaze a lot easier. Rhydon just has a standard SD set with ice punch to hit flying types such as flamigo harder. Copperajah is the mandatory steel of the team, and is just a standard set. Tauros aqua is running an eject pack set to keep up momentum for the team, otherwise pretty standard. Kilowattrel is also running a standard pivot set. Finally, scream tail is the cleaner of the team that can end games from all the wallbreaking the rest of the team does, standard set.

Yes, all these replays are against wack teams, but that is all I could find on ladder

RhyDON InTElcroak Offense
:Inteleon: :Toxicroak: :Rhydon: :Tsareena: :Munkidori: :bronzong:

by me with some help and testing from my friend mmtaccos
I made this team for week two of swiss based around the tried and true core of inteleon + toxicroak with rhydon to beat one of the archetypes biggest weaknesses in kilowattrel
:Inteleon:
:Toxicroak:
These first two are pretty self explanatory. can't have intelcroak without intel and croak. Inteleon is a fast paced pick great at picking apart offensive teams without a solid water resist and toxicroak exists to put pressure on the bulky water and grass types that might want to switch into inteleon such as vaporeon and amoongus
:Rhydon:
Rhydon is the "unique" pick here It's designed to beat kilo while also providing valuable wallbreaking potential against gligar/vaporeon teams that intelcroak typically struggles against. Notably Ice punch lets it put pressure on gligar and +2 eq can do a significant amount to vaporeon outright ko-ing specially defensive sets. Rhydon also gives a valuable defensive backbone into opposing offense teams letting the team better take on threats like toxtricity scyther staraptor cincinno klefki and scarf chandelure. Tera poison is very valuable letting it eat hits from the likes of heracross breloom toxicroak and flamigo.
:Tsareena:
Tsareena is here to help round out the grass/water type matchup and also give the team an answer to gastrodon and swampert. a defensive set packs removal and scouting capability to deal with opposing threats.
:Munkidori:
Munkidori is here to give the team speed, a way to revenge kill flamigo and importantly a way to deal consistent chip to bronzong with shadow ball to open up a rhydon sweep
:bronzong:
Gives the team a lot of defensive utility and rocks. pretty self explanatory steels are highly valuable in the current metagame and bronzong provides a safety net to deal with important threats
Potential changes:
zong can be made specially defensive and can also carry protect for scouting potential. I prefer physdef to make the team a bit better into flamigo
rhydon can carry crunch to hit bronzong
Inteleon can be given surf since I can't hit hydros
