Project NU Teambuilding Competition - Season 2, Week 6: Weather

Double SD Bulky Offense
:rhyperior::rotom-heat::feraligatr::flygon::Tsareena::Florges: <- Paste

This build uses Custap SD Rhyperior to break pesky bulky grasses and waters so that Feraligatr can set up for a win. I also recorded the whole teambuilding process and my thoughts along the way if you're interested.

:Rhyperior:Rhyperior :custap-berry:
Rhyperior serves as the team's primary breaker, as he lures in many bulky water and grass-type pokemon like Vileplume, Tsareena, and Vaporeon which it can quickly dispatch of with boosted Earthquakes or a Megahorn. Custap Berry allows us to get surprise kills and stop runaway sweepers, and make further use of our boosted attack stat before we faint.

:Rotom-Heat:Rotom-Heat :heavy-duty-boots:
This EZ-Bake oven serves as a nice generic pivot with a powerful STAB combo, burn spreading, and pain split for longevity. It also helps us not immediately fold to Magnezone.

:Feraligatr:Feraligatr :life-orb:
Rhyperior walked so Feraligatr could run. SD Feraligatr is a powerful setup sweeper and breaker, with the ability to delete many revenge killers with the power of Tera Water Aqua Jet.

:flygon:Flygon :eject-pack:
No team would be complete without our favorite non-bug type. Here its job is to set rocks and launch powerful special attacks. Hopefully this puts a big dent into an unsuspecting physical wall, making our breaking core's job just a little bit easier.

:tsareena:Tsareena :heavy-duty-boots:
Tsareena gives us hazard removal, but more importantly it really patches up our team's defensive typing. It gives us a solid water resist and the abilty to tank generic physical hits that Rhyperior wouldn't be comfortable with, all the while providing utility with knock off.

:florges:Florges :choice-scarf:
Scarf Florges manages to compress speed control, generic special bulk, and a way to cripple setup sweepers and walls alike. Usually you just want to click Moonblast anyway, so I gave this Florges the ability to be an alternative wincon after you trick your Scarf away. Through the use of calm mind and synthesis, the Slowbro matchup is a bit less painful (but Rhyperior is trying to kill it anyway). Outspeeds max speed Noivern.
Here's some proof that my build actually works, and the steps I took when putting it together. This is actually the second version of the team, but the core ideas are the same. I couldn't bring myself to keep using Sandslash-Alola.

Totally forgot to vote for week 1..., would've voted for Inteleon anyways, ggs.

On to week 2! We're cooking Trick Room this week, inspired in part by the team that tore through this season's NUPL(I believe originally tier acid's work?).

:rhyperior: - :diancie: - :reuniclus: - :scream tail: - :grimmsnarl: - :talonflame:

We're all in on Trick Room.

:rhyperior: - The man of the hour. Earthquake / Stone Edge / Ice Punch / Megahorn is great coverage, and if Stone Edge makes me want to scream, well, that's my problem. Also underspeeds pretty much anything that isn't also trying to use Trick Room.

:diancie: - Standard OTR set, this thing just does damage and the typing lets it switch in and start setting up on a lot.

:reuniclus: - So much damage. This thing is broken. There are obviously options for the coverage slot here - Energy Ball, Shadow Ball, Thunder, but I just really wanted to pop Diancies.

:scream tail: But hammer, you say, isn't Scream Tail a bad mon? Yes, yes it is. But it fills one very specific niche as a lead on this team. It sets rocks, it sets Trick Room, and then it dies. The only other mons that can do that are Uxie, Mesprit, and Carbink. Take your pick.

:grimmsnarl: Love this guy. It's the fastest of the Trick Room attackers here, and its movepool synergizes with that really well. It's got Hammer Arm to lower its speed, Crunch and Play Rough for STAB damage, and Sucker Punch for options outside of Trick Room or against slower(faster) opponents. Plus it looks cool in glasses.

:talonflame: Folks, I think we need to investigate offensive Talonflame a bit. The surprise factor here is very funny, and the damage output is kinda crazy: +1 252 Atk Gale Wings Talonflame Brave Bird vs. 252 HP / 252+ Def Vileplume: 342-404 (96.6 - 114.1%) -- 81.3% chance to OHKO. Strength Sap that you bastard.

Staraptor BO
:rhyperior: :muk alola: :staraptor: :rotom-mow: :slowbro: :avalugg:
So after looking through the NU tier list, I found that a few mons I thought would be decent in the tier are not actually ranked. One of these was staraptor (the other was shaymin, which I am also experimenting with and will prob drop the team in the team bazaar). Thus I decided to create a BO team around it with lots of bulky mons used to support its breaking power (and Rhyperior is here too, cause of the building comp)

:rhyperior: The subject of this teambuilding comp, this is mostly a standard rocks set. Tera dragon is to help deal with rain and be a generally good defensive type. Rock blast helps against focus sash leads, e-quake is good stab and dragon tail helps to stop setup threats (when it hits, why is this not 100% accurate)

:muk alola: The special defender of the team, this muk set is standard. Knock off and poison jab as stabs, rest to keep itself healthy and sleep talk to stay active even when forced to rest. Tera water is to help against rain and other threats.

:staraptor: The star of the show, staraptor provides insane breaking power with its stab moves and coverage. Choice band elevates staraptors power to extreme levels, with it being able to 2hit ko most non resists, with even some resists like klefki still being 2hit ko'd. Jolly was chosen over adamant to speed tie/outspeed some important threats in krookodile, flygon and brambleghast and helps with the otherwise slow pace of the team. Brave bird and double edge are great stab options to use, u-turn can do solid damage to psychics while pivoting out and close combat can help deal with steel/rock types that resist staraptors stab moves. Tera flying boosts brave bird even higher and can allow it to muscle through some things which might recover stall it.

:rotom-mow: The speed control of the team, scarf mowtom is a good cleanup mon that can provide some good defensive utility. This is the standard scarf set. Leaf storm and t-bolt as good stabs, volt switch to pivot out, trick to cripple something like in the rain matchup or stall matchup and tera electric to hit things harder when cleaning.

:slowbro: What would an NU team be without Slowbro? This is basically the standard set for slowbro. Calm mind to boost, scald and psychic noise for disruptive stabs, slack off to keep itself healthy and tera poison to avoid toxics while making itself neutral to some hits.

:avalugg: Finally, the hazard control of the team and another physical wall, avalugg provides some good defensive utility to the team. Body press does good damage from avaluggs titanic defense stat, avalanche can do solid stab damage when used last, recover can keep avalugg healthy, rapid spin allows avalugg to remove hazards that might annoy the rest of the team and tera poison allows avalugg to wall fighting types that may hit it for big damage.

SD Rhyp & Pads Shao
:rhyperior: :mienshao: :flygon: :talonflame: :vaporeon: :magnezone:

I tried several rhyperior sets and settled on SD with lum berry. This allows rhyp to be even more of a talonflame punish (not fearing a wisp) and allow it to lure and beat slowbro with +2 megahorn / eq depending on tera. Pads shao was a logical offensive pairing to get damage on grass types with triple axel (which you can use into plume with protective pads) and free u-turns as talon tries to come in and fish for the burn. Vape + rhyperior is also reminiscent of ursaluna + alomomola in UU earlier this gen, the wish flip user keeping the bulky breaker healthy and allowing it to get more hits off during the game. Also I promise I don't use protective pads shao on every team it has just come up twice in NUTC somehow xd

Edit: So I just watched Rabia's video using his edit this of team and I didn't realize it was magnet pull on zone. It was definitely supposed to be analytic! Paste is updated now! That's not embarrassing at all xd
:rhyperior::lum berry: Rhyperior
Rhyp is our primary breaker here with sd and lum berry you hit very hard, and most notably you can beat talonflame, slowbro, and plume (last two potentially requiring tera) to open up for scarf flygon to clean late game.

:mienshao::protective pads: Mienshao
Mienshao is the second half of our breaking core here. Protective pads allows you to dodge the contact status that most teams use to check shao, granting free u-turns on talonflame and therefore switch ins for rhyperior. Pads also allows you to lure in vileplume and hit it hard with triple axel as well.

:flygon::choice scarf: Flygon
Flygon is our scarfer here as well as our rocker. There is some set ambiguity here since at preview rocks could also be on rhyperior, and mienshao could also be the scarfer. Flygon's checks largely overlap with shao and rhyperior and it's job here is to clean up once those two have broken through.

:talonflame::heavy duty boots: Talonflame
Standard talonflame here, fast pivot, fighting check, opposing shao punish. Magnezone and rotom heat like to come in on talonflame which you can u turn into your mienshao and rhyperior respectively on.

:vaporeon::covert cloak: Vaporeon
Vaporeon is a slow pivot here, provides an important water immunity, and keeping rhyp and company healthy throughout the game.

:magnezone::assault vest: Magnezone
AV mag is another slow pivot, special tank, provides imporant resists, and helps the team break slowbro. Oftentimes bro can try and outlast zone but it is much more difficult with wish support. Terablast ground is for opposing magnezones which can be hard to switch into for the rest of the team.

Good ol' Rhyperior was the mon for this week and it was kind of fun building with it. I tried a set I'm not used to and that was SD and then went from there.

:sv/rhyperior: :sv/tsareena: :sv/copperajah: :sv/sylveon: :sv/infernape: :sv/slowbro:

SD Rhyperior + Specs Sylveon BO

:rhyperior: The start of the team. I decided to forgo rocks on it which is a staple move for it and went the more offensive route with SD like mentioned. I could've gone Ice Punch over Megahorn, but with Slowbro and stuff here Megahorn seemed better. Went Tera Water here but I wanted a good Tera for Water & Ice moves and Dragon wouldn't do that.

:tsareena: Need a "resist" for Grass and Water, not to mention hazard removal and Tsareena came to mind. I could've gone Bramble but I've been using that too much and wanted to give her a try. I also chose the pivoting route instead of smth like HJK or Triple Axel for momentum purposes. Nothing else spectacular here.

:copperajah: Here's that rocker..........and stereotypical Steel type for the team. EQ seems ok as a 4th move here, but Rock Slide is ok for the team's purposes. Should probably go Tera Fairy here, but Poison is good too.

:sylveon: This one was questionable for me, but it fit for what I was working with. I always love that immediate power that Banded or Specs mons give and I needed a cool Fighting check too.

:infernape: Scarfer, faster than Mienshao too and pivots! Considering changing to Tera Fire here since the battles I've been using it in would've fared better if I had it. Nothing out of the ordinary though.

:slowbro: The finisher and another prototypical Fighting check. Nothing special once again.

I remembered to vote this week!

1. Double SD Bulky Offense by Shengineer - this team has a lot of unique stuff I really like, and anywhere we can fit in custap this gen is very cool
2. Hazard Stack by Costa - I really like hazard stack builds in general, good stuff
3. SD Rhyperior & Specs Sylveon BO by Oathkeeper - one of the most "normal" builds here, but there's something to be said for just a well-built team

In another nail biter of a finish we have a winner! Both Oathkeeper and Be13Costa had 15 points, and Shengineer was right behind with 14 points. I left the tiebreaker vote up to Quziel... and congratulations to Oathkeeper for winning Season 0 week 2 of NUTC!

Season 0, Week 3: Hyper Offense

For the third week of the NU teambuilding competition we decided to go for a teamstyle!

However, there's a twist!: Weather & Terrain will be banned! For further clarification, the following weather and terrain causing moves 'Rain Dance', 'Sunny Day', 'Snowscape', 'Sandstorm', 'Psychic Terrain', 'Grassy Terrain', 'Electric Terrain', and 'Misty Terrain' along with the following weather and terrain causing abilities 'Drizzle', 'Drought', 'Snow Warning', 'Sand Stream', 'Psychic Surge', 'Grassy Surge', 'Electric Surge', and 'Misty Surge' will be disallowed from all submitted teams this week!

On a side note, enjoy your new drops, as we pray RU drops our beloved staples again.

:sv/indeedee::sv/araquanid::sv/breloom::sv/deoxys-defense::sv/cresselia:
no cincinno bc i’m a certified cinc hater

We all know that when the drops come, the bans happen. So, why not take advantage of dumb Pokemon while we still can? Use anything from Swords Dance Lycanroc-D to Tera Steel Calm Mind Cressia to Sticky Web Araquanid! Or, if you feel the need to innovate, Inner Focus Indeedee! Remember to read through the original posts for formatting and submission requirements. Don’t forget to post at least one replay!

With the current state of SV NU and possible quickbans around the corner, we understand that there may be important meta changes in the near future and many of the early submissions may not remain legal NU teams very long. Consider the first few weeks of NUTC tester weeks or “Season 0.” After next week—in case of quickbans, we will start Season 1 where teams submitted can be used in the upcoming Season 1 Tournament!

(TO GET BACK TO OUR NORMAL SCHEDULE, TEAMBUILDING TIME HAS BEEN EXTENDED)

Submissions are open now and close Tuesday July 9th at around 10 p.m. (GMT-6)!

Note: If quickbans do happen for a Pokemon you built your team with, and you lack replays, you can challenge me (or LTTM if they're free and willing) over Pokemon Showdown and we'll get you your replay.

Happy building!

Steel Overwhelm HO

This team's goal is to work away at Steel-types with Lycanroc-D and Indeedee to open up Cresselia for a braindead easy win.
1719858740742.png
:twisted spoon::Indeedee acts a strong balance breaker with both Calm Mind + Encore, and, since Psychic Surge is banned, I'm using Twisted Spoon + Inner Focus which is the real #NextBestThing, Shengineer.

1719858866591.png
:life orb:: Lycanroc-D helps to surprise, or just straight up damage, Psychic- and Ghost-types staying in with Crunch. I prefer Sucker Punch + Accelerock, as it gifts you the ability to still take out Talonflame while being threatening to Choice Scarf Flygon or do dumb Mienshao calcs with Tera Dark.

1719859027093.png
:booster energy:: This is the most out there set. Nothing special for the first three moves: Stealth Rock, Encore, and Misty Explosion to lead the game off correctly. However, I chose Perish Song as the last move to dissuade walls from staying in and sweepers from setting up alike. Tera Ghost is for spinblocking just in case.

1719859185815.png
:leftovers:: Toxicroak acts as a good Fighting-type check, as you tend to want to save Cresselia for the very end. Gunk Shot is quite powerful into everything, and Toxicroak enjoys both Lycanroc-D's ability to take out Talonflame and Flygon's utility in taking out opposing Poison-types. It also helps chip Psychic-types who could possibly take on Cresselia later. The Speed investment helps to outpace max Speed Breloom.

1719859348641.png
:weakness policy:: After having fun with Weakness Policy Mew, I felt like Cresselia could just be the even fatter version of that. It works well to take advantage of random Knock Off and U-turn from Mienshao and the like. Moonblast is enough to muscle through Dark-types while Stored Power helps you against Unaware Quagsire and fat Steel-types. Only issue is it's weak to phazing. However, throwing away the rest of you party easily solves this (as seen in replay 2). The Speed EVs are for Adamant Incineroar. I chose Tera Poison over Tera Steel, as I then am not taken advantage of by Fighting-types after Terastallizing while still being immune to Toxic.

1719859653578.png
:loaded dice:: I felt I still needed a way to beat Steel-types reliably even with Toxicroak, so I enlisted Dragon Dance Flygon. Flygon also provides a much-needed Ground-type and Ground-type immunity. Overall, it's just your basic setup Flygon just with Fire Punch in case of Magnet Rise Klefki or Levitate Bronzong.

Anti-Lead Cinccino
:cinccino::flygon::cloyster::lucario::chandelure::lycanroc-dusk:

The idea behind this team is to lead with sash cinccino. Cinccino beats other hazard leads and prevent hazards (details below) and can force progress onto the opposing team pressuring physically defensive mons for the rest of the team. Hazard prevention is important for the webs matchup, but also to keep cloysters sash intact. Chandy is sporting the memento set to give our set up sweepers increased opportunities, and we plan to overwhelm the opposing team with the plethora of strong physical attacks and priority. Edit: I initially forgot to make cloyster naive instead of jolly to preserve your special attack for the +2 non-tera'd terablast 2 shot on avalugg. You don't really miss anything by going -spdef nature here with sash anyways.
:Cinccino::focus sash:Cinccino
We are abusing a combination of encore and the hazard removing capabilities of tidy up to use cinccino as an anti-lead. Sporting a sash and skill link, Cinccino can usually freely set up a tidy up turn 1. If they set up a hazard you can encore them and tidy up again. This beats all of the lead matchups except for dusk (who can cc into accel), but you just kill that with unboosted bullet seed first. If they don't lead with a hazard setter you can still get the tidy up and start clicking moves into them and soften up the opposing team for the mons to follow. Tera fire is an option to more reliably click into talonflame, but ghost allows you to be immune to (and therefore not revenged by) a lot of the priority in the tier. You won't click tera here often though, but occasionally if they are weak enough to cinccino (or if it allows you to remove an important priority mon on their team) it can be useful.

:flygon::loaded dice:Flygon
Flygon is our first sweeper and also our rocker. Since we aren't running a hazard lead like a traditional HO, we needed an offensive rocker. Tera fairy is an option here if you are concerned about ditto (since you would then be immune to all of the attacks the ditto could use) but tera steel has a bit more utility in other situations (in particular vs OTR diancie.)

:cloyster::focus sash:Cloyster
Cinccino walks so cloyster can run. Cinccino forces damage upon the enemy team and keeps hazards off so cloyster can keep its sash intact and power through later. Terablast ghost may seem like a bit of an odd option post slowbro, but I enjoyed the defensive capabilities (mostly being immune to certain priority moves) of it and also like hitting the fat psychics that just dropped harder as well.

:lucario::life orb:Lucario
Lucario is the first part of our priority spam. It is a powerful setup sweeper, can actually abuse its typing vs opposing cinccino, and e-killer Luke is still e-killer Luke. Most games are finished with either cloyster of lucario.

:chandelure::air balloon:Chandelure
Chandy patches up a lot of holes here. It is a strong special attacker even without the boosting item, it's typing provides some valuable resists/immunities, it revenge kills brelooms, and memento support is greatly appreciated by the rest of the team. The free turn memento can give one of our sweepers can turn the game in your favor! Fake scald Water blast is here mostly to hit incineroar whose intimidate can be annoying for the rest of the team.

:Lycanroc-dusk::life orb:Lycanroc-Dusk
Dusk fills a couple important roles here: additional priority, speed, immediate power, and another set up sweeper all in one. If dusk can get an SD off there aren't many things that can revenge it at +2. Most defensive mons die or take massive damage, and shao dies to +2 tera dark sucker punch.

Deoxys Hazard Stack HO
by Shengineer and Rabia
:Deoxys-defense::chandelure::tornadus::scrafty::flygon::feraligatr:

deoxys.png
Rabia and I concocted this hazard-stacking HO team with Red Card Deoxys-Defense as the hazard setter, check it out!
:Deoxys-defense: Deoxys-Defense
The hazard setter for the team. It's able to fit both hazards on the same set, and brings Knock Off for utility and Night Shade for consistent damage. This could be any damaging move like Psychic Noise, Psycho Boost, or ever Superpower to beat the annoying Cinccino.

:chandelure: Chandelure
Spinblocker and special attacker. Has potential to clean late game, and provides important resists and immunities for its teammates.

:Tornadus: Tornadus
Can effectively punish Defog with its ability Defiant, has super strong Flying STAB in Acrobatics (which has very few resists), and Knock Off + Tera Blast Ground for coverage. Bulk Up helps it take advantage of passive walls or free turns from a Tera, and secure a sweep more easily. Could try out a mixed set if certain physical walls prove problematic.

:Scrafty: Scrafty
Another Knock Off user to get rid of pesky boots and threaten the longevity of bulky teams. Helps absorb status with Shed Skin and punishes parallel boosting with Encore.

:Flygon: Flygon
A Classic Dragon Dance set, with Lum Berry to offset burns or poison from a Muk-Alola's Knock Off. Fire Blast helps the team's Avalugg matchup, but this could also be helped with a special move on Tornadus.

:Feraligatr: Feraligatr
Gives the team a crucial water resist, priority, and a good bit of immediate power that the team needs. Crunch no longer seems as necessary with the departure of Slowbro, but you could also consider Trailblaze with Tera Grass.

Scope Gallade with Webs

:Diancie::Gallade::Incineroar::Vikavolt::Tsareena::Cloyster:

Hello, everyone. This is the first team I have made since the shift, and I am surprisingly shocked at how effective this team is. The goal was to over-prepare for Cresselia and Deoxys—Defense, so I picked Gallade with Scope Lens to get the crits to ignore the stat boosts. After that, I pile on with Incineroar and Vikavolt for extra security if things get sticky.

Replay 1
Replay 2
Replay 3

diancie.gif

Diancie is here to hit hard and set up Trick Room if I am in a speed bind. I chose Modest Nature over Quiet because I want to be faster than other Diancies out there, and there is some decent outspeed when Sticky Web is on the field.

gallade.gif

The star of the team. Gallade's ability Sharpness is so helpful, especially with his high crit moves. So I was like, let's get the most damage while getting crits, so I attached the Scope Lens to it. At one point, I had Shadow Sneak over Night Slash, but it got to the point that Night Slash was too good to pass up. You can change the Tera, but I chose Fairy to resit Dark-type moves.

incineroar.gif

I went with SD Incineroar because I wanted to stack against Cresselia every time it boosts. Also, I can get some Knock Off utility because they are most likely switching out.

vikavolt.gif

TBH, I was looking for a hard-hitting Pokemon for these new Psychic Types out there, and this Pokemon is what I was able to find because of its Special Attack stat. After I gave it the basic coverage moveset, I still had a move left, so I thought, let's put in some webs just for fun. I wasn't even planing for it to be a big part of the game but the more I played Vikavolt just became such a good lead I just had to use it everytime I can. Since this Pokemon is slow, I just went max damage and health so it can live enough to attack at least twice. I gave it Sitrus Berry just for the survivability.

tsareena.gif

Tsareena's only goal is to get those hazards off the field. This matters because since I have Cloyster with Focus Sash, I am not trying to ruin its end-game sweep or come back for me.

cloyster.gif

This last slot was to have fun and have a hard-hitting Pokemon. Cloyster is a dangerous Pokemon left unchecked, so I just wanted something to scare my opponents. Focus Sash is there to get a Shell Smash off, and Tera Ghost to deal with Psychics and priority moves that are Normal or Fighting type moves. I gave it Naive Nature just in case Tera Blast with no tera, but with Shell Smash comes in handy, and the Special Defense is so bad on this Pokemon that nature doesn't matter.

:ss/galvantula: :ss/brambleghast: :ss/kilowattrel: :ss/breloom: :ss/lycanroc-dusk: :ss/cloyster:

SD Breloom Webs HO

The idea of the team came from me wanting to try Swords Dance Breloom. I decided to go for a Webs HO build to help out with Breloom's mid speed. I liked the team once I got comfortable piloting it, so I decided to submit it. Basically, you'll want to get Webs up, have them stay up, and have a setup sweeper sweep.

:galvantula: The lead you'll want to send out most of the time. Its job is to setup webs and deal some damage for your other teammates. Have the mandatory nickname of SPYDER!! (Yes, I added a couple exclamation marks so SPYDER can assert its dominance.)
:brambleghast: Brambleghast is here as a spinblocker to help keep Webs up and a spikes setter to weaken grounded Pokemon for your setup sweepers. I have Brambleghast itemless to be Polterproof for opposing Brambleghast and take less damage from Knock Off. Curse is used to force chip on opposing Pokemon, which is useful to use against setup sweepers. Tera Ghost is used to give Poltergeist a little power if needed while still being able to spinblock.
:kilowattrel: Kilowattrel is here as a Defog deterrent with Competitive, being useful against Talonflame. Competitive is also nice for Incineroar's Intimidate. Air Slash is the Flying STAB for better accuracy and flinch chances. I still like Tera Blast Ground even after Magnezone left, as it lets Kilo resist Accelerock, and it lets it hit Iron Thorns. Tera Blast Ground is also useful against Dragalge, Diancie, and Alolan Muk. Roost give Kilo HP recovery so it can stay around longer to break past opposing Pokemon.
:breloom: Since I wanted to try Swords Dance Breloom, I added it to the team. I originally had Life Orb, but I used Loaded Dice which I enjoyed making Technician Bullet Seed much more consistent, being useful against bulky Pokemon such as DeoD. Rock Tomb is for the incoming Talonflame and other Fires like Chandelure. Tera Rock is to make Rock Tomb STAB and lets Breloom resist fire moves.
:lycanroc-dusk: Swords Dance Dusk Lycan is a really scary breaker, with few Pokemon wanting to switch in after it gets off a Swords Dance. I have Tera Dark for the boost on Crunch and Sucker Punch and for an emergency Psychic immunity.
:cloyster: Cloyster is the other setup sweeper in addition to Breloom and Lycanroc-Dusk since it has a speed and attack boosting move in Shell Smash. Drill Run is for Steels and Fires like Incineroar, Klefki, Registeel, and Chandelure. I've been liking Tera Blast Ghost for more damage against DeoD and Cresselia. Tera Ghost is also useful against Espeed Lucario and Mach Punch Breloom, and is useful for resisting Flygon's First Impression. I also just like having a Tera Ghost setup sweeper for Pokemon locked into Fighting or Normal moves. Also, I find it funny to use Tera Blast pre Tera to deal more damage to opposing Cloyster lol.

Fighting Spam HO
:Deoxys-Defense: :Lucario: :Breloom: :Rotom: :Talonflame: :Persian-Alola:

Deoxys-Defense dropping gave me desire to build an HO team based around Lucario. I knew how effective Deoxys could be as a hazard lead from XY OU, so I definitely wanted a hazard stacking format with a spin blocker and defog deterrent if possible. Originally I tried Tornadus in Talonflame's spot because I liked the idea of getting Defiant boosts from Defog, but it always felt awkward using it because Talonflame would most likely burn you. I went with an SD Talonflame with Tera steel and Steel Wing to get past rock types. I used Gale Wings to help check opposing sweepers, don't forget about the priority when attacking Tsareena. A flying type is needed because it can be difficult to force out bulky grasses that switch into Rotom's Volt Switch like Vileplume. I went with Tera Steel on Breloom to setup on vileplume, and sash rock tomb which can be useful for Talonflame. Rotom intrigued me as a spin-blocker because of its speed, being just faster than some meta threats like Lucario and Deoxys-D. Last, but not least, the glue holding this team together is Persian-Alola! A lot of times people will use fast ghost types (and tera ghost) to check Lucario and Breloom, this is where Persian-alola creates nice synergy, being a blanket physical wall with Foul Play makes it not so passive and it's also a nice Indeedee check. Overall this is a fun and so far effective team that I implore you to try!
