Assault Vest lets it avoid OHKOs from attacks like Diancie’s Moonblast at +1, Chandelure’s Shadow Ball, and Choice Specs Dragalge’s Draco Meteor. Leaf Blade, boosted by Sharpness, hits Diancie, Slowbro, and Swampert super effectively, while Knock Off is a strong utility move that notably threatens Reuniclus, Brambleghast, Chandelure, and Hisuian Typhlosion. The EV spread lets it outspeed Modest Magnezone and Sylveon as well as every 50 base Speed Pokemon. Tera Steel transforms its weaknesses to Fairy and Flying in resistances, as well as making it immune to Toxic and Toxic Spikes. Due to its low physical bulk, Gallade is weak to strong physical attackers such as Tsareena, Brambleghast, and Torterra, so Pokemon like Talonflame, Noivern, and Vileplume are great teammates.
