ORAS OU No Mega (Barbaracle) Team

Hey everyone this is a team that I have created that has done me well thus far. I'm new to playing Competitive. I have maxed at about 1350-1400 and just looking for some pointers for making this team better as well as so strats. Ok here it goes:

1st Off We have:

untitled.png

Barbaracle @ Focus Sash
Ability: Tough Claws
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Cross Chop
- Poison Jab
- Razor Shell
- Shell Smash

as.png

Azumarill @ Sitrus Berry
Ability: Huge Power
EVs: 92 HP / 252 Atk / 164 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Belly Drum
- Aqua Jet
- Play Rough
- Superpower
I've not found the moves that I like best for him yet but he plays as my late game sweeper. Focus Sash is to make sure I get that Shell Smash off and start taking things down. Poison jab is one I'm thinking of removing and putting stone edge which will OHKO Multiscale dragonite. The other thing I have learned is Barbaracle is somewhat frail and I have to watch out for priority. I'm open to changing this mon possibly to azumarill but I'm undecided.

Latios (M) @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 4 HP / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 30 Atk / 30 SpA / 30 Spe
- Psyshock
- Draco Meteor
- Trick
- Defog

My next action was to tear down those beefy physical walls that laugh at Barbaracle. (Mega Slowbro) You fat Bastard. Thats why I am running Energy Ball for 2HKO w/o SPA drop from draco. Also I am running defog because Barb needs his sash to set up for the big finish.

Conkeldurr @ Assault Vest
Ability: Guts
EVs: 252 Atk / 236 SpD / 20 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Drain Punch
- Mach Punch
- Ice Punch
- Knock Off

This is my answer to Steel types as well as checking Lando and some Dragon types. Ice Punch is the move I'm uncertain on atm Poison Jab, Fire Punch come to mind as subs. Knockoff to Nail the Latis to the wall on the switch in as well as remove items of some walls. Drain Punch for Recovery and Mach for my Sole priority.

Heatran @ Leftovers
Ability: Flash Fire
EVs: 248 HP / 192 SpD / 68 Spe
Calm Nature
- Lava Plume
- Toxic
- Stealth Rock
- Roar

Heatran is here to take the Fairy & Pshycic hits that ConK bring in. Toxic to help wear down whatever switches in. Stealth rocks to break sashes that will halt Barbaracle in his tracks. Roar to halt Baton passers and Set-up mons. Lava-Plume for trying to hit some burns.

Rotom-Wash @ Chesto Berry
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 248 HP / 216 Def / 44 Spe
Bold Nature
- Volt Switch
- Hydro Pump
- Will-O-Wisp
- Rest

I then needed something to soak up some physical attacks and give me some momentum. Rotom is also my status taker and giver which is why I went with resto/chesto over Pain split. Will-o-Wisp to weaken potential sweepers. Hydro Miss when switching isn't called for.

Gengar @ Focus Sash
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 4 HP / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Focus Blast
- Destiny Bond
- Sludge Bomb
- Shadow Ball

This is generally my Suicide Lead if he can kill the opposing hazard setter he has done his job. Skarmory 2HKO w/ Focus Blast. I'll some times keep Gengar around to help revenge kill some fairies or expected fighting type moves. Then Destiny Bond to take whomever wills to kill me. Shadow Ball for Stab Coverage.

Barbaracle is one I'm thinking of changing thinking maybe Azumarill or Mega Gyarados. Mega Slobrow even. would like your input Anything is up for removal or change. This my 1st team I have found little success with and enjoy using. So let me know how you like it Thanks

Hey dude !, You must have minimum 3 sentences which describe the role of your pokemon which constitute your team

Here's my tips

689.png
Use White Herb instead Focus Sash to restore the bulk of Barbaracle, allowing him to take Mach Punches and other priority moves

run Trick over Energy Ball, is helpful when your opponent sends Chansey, Blissey or other tank SpD

Use Life Orb instead of Focus Sash, Life Orb, Allows you to hit harder and you can always use destiny bond when you'll not have enough of hp to attack again or for other reason

Definitely run Trick over Energy Ball, is helpful when your opponent sends Chansey, Blissey or other tank SpD.

Can be replaced since it is OHKO'd by SpA. What is your goal for its replacement though? Stall or Sweep?

Ok I will give trick a try seems Latios is not phased by the SpA drop after Draco since it's usually a quick KO and switch out.

I think I'd like to stay with the late game sweeper like a DD Gyarados or rest talk bulky but Azumarill would be nice for a fairy typing on my team.

wtf ? o____o
Trick a Chansey or another special wall Latios can't touch the Choice item and cripple them. What's a Chansey or a Ferro going to do with a Choice Scarf? It becomes dead weight for then opponent, and Latios is pretty potent even without a Scarf so it's a worthy trade-off.

my "wtf" it's just because he has c/p my sentence and that he has just put " Definitely"

Ah, fair point. Didn't notice that. XD Probably acknowledgement that he's going with your idea.
On that topic tough, it's kind of detrimental running it with Defog if you have any interest in keeping your scarf, and especially against hyper offence teams where you really can't afford to be locked into Defog like that, teams like that make it hard enough for you to clear hazards as it is, no use giving yourself an extra hurdle. I don't know, I'm not sold on Scarfed Latios unless you have another hazard remover.
