My local play group has it's own set of rules, such that we can use any Pokemon/item, except for legendaries. With that in mind, I think Ubers is a better place to test than OU, because it allows me to use and face things like Blaziken, Mega Kangaskan, and Aegislash, which I could certainly face at the tournaments my group holds.
Blaziken @ Blazikenite
Ability: Speed Boost
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 Def / 252 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Flare Blitz
- High Jump Kick
- Protect
- Knock Off
It was a toss-up between Blaziken, Lucario, and Kangaskhan for which would be my mega. I'm not a huge fan of Mega Kangaskhan, even though it's probably the best of the 3. I really like Lucario, but originally had Aegislash on the team too, and felt that would give me too much of a weakness to fire, while not having any solid fire attacks myself. So I ended up with the Big Bird. Knock off over Swords Dance because he already has sky high attack, and a fast knock off user is very good. HJK over low kick because not everything in my meta weighs a ton.
Scizor @ Choice Band
Ability: Technician
EVs: 240 HP / 252 Atk / 16 Def
Adamant Nature
- Bullet Punch
- Knock Off
- U-turn
- Superpower
I love CB Scizor. Easily one of my favorite sets, simply because CB Bullet Punch does so much damage. Adamant because Scizor's not out speeding anything anyways. Other moves are pretty standard. Knock Off may switch to pursuit, as I also have knock off on Blaziken
Greninja @ Life Orb
Ability: Protean
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Ice Beam
- Hydro Pump
- Extrasensory
- Grass Knot
Greninja is probably my second favorite Gen 6 mon (behind Aegislash). He's super fast, and hard to predict. He is generally used to revenge kill, and can often take down 2-3 pokemon before succumbing to Life Orb damage. Grass Knot over HP fire because of bulky water, ground, and rock pokemon.
Gengar @ Life Orb
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Taunt
- Shadow Ball
- Sludge Bomb
- Thunderbolt
Gengar is what I replaced Aegislash with. I realized I needed a fast taunt, and Gengar fit the bill nicely. Shadow Ball and Sludge Bomb are powerful STABs, while Thunderbolt gives me coverage against fliers and water.
Gliscor @ Toxic Orb
Ability: Poison Heal
EVs: 248 HP / 188 Def / 72 Spe
Impish Nature
- Substitute
- Protect
- Toxic
- Earthquake
Gliscor is my physical wall. He's running a standard sub-toxic set, because I haven't found a better set for him. EVs were taken from the SmogDex, honestly not really sure what the speed EVs are for, might switch more of them to Def.
Blissey (F) @ Leftovers
Ability: Natural Cure
EVs: 252 Def / 252 SpD / 4 Spe
- Heal Bell
- Flamethrower
- Soft-Boiled
- Toxic
Blissey is my special wall and cleric. Flamethrower over seismic toss because I have fighting coverage, and want to be able to hit things like Gengar and Aegislash if needed. Heal Bell over protect as I want to be able to cure status, because nothing likes being burned or paralyzed. Soft-Boiled for longevity, and I'm not running protect, so Wish isn't as useful. Toxic to stall.
Currently sitting at 1255 ELO on the Ubers Suspect test ladder, but haven't played a ton. I think I've lost 3 times so far with this team.
Threats:
Hazards, specifically Toxic Spikes can give me problems, despite having 3 pokemon immune to poison.
EKiller Arceus can also sometimes give me problems. If it gets to SD, I have a hard time killing it.
Mega Gengar - especially if it runs taunt
Kyogre - only a problem if Greninja and Gengar are dead
Replays:
So far, I've only saved 3 replays, 2 of them losses.
