Overview
########
  • Pros
    • Has great Speed, allowing it to play a role as a speedy and supportive teammate or a fast offensive attacker. Has Speed Boost, which further improves its role as a speedy and supportive teammate. Access to Swords Dance, Baton Pass, and Substitute, which again furthers its supportive role. 4x resists Fighting- and Grass-types, which allows it to seem a bit more useful, as its lackluster bulk can be useful in supportive cases.
    • An average base 90 Atk allows it to use Choice Band usefully along with its amazing Speed to see through its horrific defenses. Swords Dance can diversify its offensive role a bit by using its Speed and Attack to an advantage.
    • Avoids (Toxic) Spikes, making its job to set up and to Attack a lot easier.
  • Cons
    • Terrible bulk makes Ninjask extremely vulnerable to common attackers.
    • 4x weak to Rock-type, making it easy to OHKO with, and takes maximum damage from Stealth Rock, making it easier to KO.
    • Not that much access to viable STAB attacks, making its offensive movepool very limited.
    • Its weaknesses are fairly common, making it even harder on Ninjask to reliably set up or attack.
Choice Band
########
name: Choice Band
move 1: U-turn
move 2: Aerial Ace
move 3: X-Scissor
move 4: Night Slash / Giga Drain
ability: Infiltrator
item: Choice Band
evs: 252 Atk / 4 Def / 252 Spe
nature: Adamant

Moves
========

Speedy Support
########
name: Speedy Support
move 1: Protect
move 2: Baton Pass
move 3: Substitute
move 4: Swords Dance
item: Leftovers
evs: 100 HP / 76 Def / 76 SpD / 252 Spe
nature: Timid

Moves
========
  • Protect is used for reliable boosts in Speed and for scouting moves
  • Baton Pass is used for passing the stat boosts (and possibly substitute) to a teammate
  • Substitute is for protection from moves and for the aforementioned Baton Pass
  • Swords Dance is used to pass raised Attack onto a teammate with Baton Pass
Set Details
========
  • Leftovers is used for minor HP recovery to make Ninjask less likely to be KOed while setting up
  • 100 / 76 / 76 defensive EVs are given for bulk to support the Leftovers and setting up
  • 252 Speed EVs, Speed Boost, and Timid nature are used to make Ninjask's setting up fast (ex. Spamming Protect and Substitute simultaneously to avoid getting hit)
Usage Tips
========
  • Start off with Protect
  • After one boost in Speed, go for Substitute
  • Repeat the process until you're forced to Baton Pass or until you want to Baton Pass out
  • Go for Swords Dance or Agility if you predict correctly
  • Baton Pass to a teammate

Team Options
========
  • Physical attackers that can use the support
  • Rapid Spinners/Defoggers to get rid of Stealth Rock
  • Pokemon to cover Ninjask's weaknesses
    • Ground-types
    • Water-types
    • Rock-types
    • Electric-types
    • Fighting-types
    • Steel-types
    • Grass-types
Other Options
########
  • Physical Attacker
  • Roost
  • Impish/Bold nature
  • Focus Sash
Checks & Counters
########
  • Stealth Rock takes away half of its max HP
  • Ice- and Rock-types can easily OHKO it
  • Priority Attackers can easily OHKO Ninjask with moves like Ice Shard

this is really lacking in quality.

Choice Band Ninjask w/ Infiltrator definitely needs to get the first set.

For the BP Ninjask, you're missing an ability and the EV spread is way too funky and poorly explained. Also, the set is kinda bad (agility? really?). A boosting move is asking a lot from Ninjask anyway and should only be under Moves. Usage Tips and Team Options are not up to par either. Ninjask shouldn't keep subbing to get to +6 Speed, and it isn't compulsory to "protect turn 1", it should just aim to accumulate maybe 1-2, sometimes 3 speed boosts depending on the opposing team and pass out straight away. Please list examples of teammates in TO.

Multi-hit moves, phazing should be in checks and counters. You also need to as checks and counters to the CB set because that will be included.

I suggest you play with Ninjask more if you don't have the experience with it. Please improve on the quality or QC will have to reject it. Also, you can copy / paste stuff from the old locked analysis. http://www.smogon.com/forums/threads/ninjask.3531801/

QC is still deciding on whether or not to include BP, btw

EDIT: oh yeah the overview needs to tell us what Ninjask does too, not what it has

ill improve the quality on this after i finish crying get back to my laptop, I appreciate the feedback! and lol i missed the old analysis.

Okay I'm going to move this back into WIP, I realized that my descriptions re vague, and I only have one set (lol).

scorpdestroyer, I'd prefer the setup set that i have instead of blinkie's, because his is almost the exact same as the NU one.

It doesn't matter if it is similar to the nu set, we suggested it for a reason. An attacking move is crucial as a huge benefit of using ninjask is it ability to revenge kill, even if you have 0 attack investment. When testing that set I found the biggest use for it was revenge killing.
Max speed is also pointless considering you need as much bulk as possible in order to set up. So far I haven't seen any evidence that you have used ninjask
