- Because of this and by virtue of its typing, Nidoqueen can handle VoltTurn cores with no effort while also neutralizing their common pivots such as Scizor, Mega Manectric, and Zeraora.
- Nidoqueen's Poison-typing also allows it to check dangerous Fighting-types like Terrakion, Cobalion, and Infernape.
- Nidoqueen also boasts Nidoking's coverage which can allow it to beat out Defoggers like Gligar and Hydreigon who can attempt to remove your hazards.
- Unfortunately, Nidoqueen's lack of reliable recovery leaves it prone to be chipped down in the match.
- Despite the useful resistances that a Poison-typing offers, Nidoqueen's susceptibility to Ground-type moves prevents it from checking Krookodile and Mega Aerodactyl unlike its competition.
