The king is back to rule over UU! Nidoking has returned and established itself as a good wallbreaker with its offensive typing, massive movepool, and Sheer Force-boosted attacks making it incredibly hard to switch into. Its STAB attacks can hit many Pokemon such as Aegislash, Jirachi, Nihilego, and Galarian Slowbro for Earth Power, and Primarina and Tangrowth for Sludge Wave. Ice Beam allows Nidoking to OHKO Salamence and deal good damage to Kommo-o, Galarian Moltres, and Krookodile. Fire Blast is coverage for Celesteela and hitting Amoonguss harder. Since it is rather difficult for Nidoking to get on the field, VoltTurn support is great for it. Mienshao is an amazing partner, as it can nail Chansey and Umbreon, Nidoking's biggest roadblocks. Other Pokemon such as Zarude and Rotom-W handle Krookodile and Celesteela, while Nidoking can nail Tangrowth for them. Knock Off absorbers such as Buzzwole can help Nidoking keep its Life Orb to stay a powerful wallbreaker. Noivern and Choice Scarf Krookodile are great revenge killers to Keldeo and Azelf. Entry hazard support from Roserade and Jirachi can help break down Amoonguss and Kommo-o.

Many Pokemon are weary of switching into it, as they could be hit for massive damage. Its STAB attacks can hit many Pokemon such as Aegislash, Jirachi, Nihilego, and Galarian Slowbro with Earth Power, while Primarina and Tangrowth take massive damage from Sludge Wave. Ice Beam allows Nidoking to OHKO nail Salamence and deal good damage to Kommo-o, Amoonguss, Galarian Moltres, (since fire blast is here and does more damage to amoong I switched it out for g molt) and Krookodile. Fire Blast is coverage for Celesteela and hitting Amoonguss harder. Since it is rather difficult for Nidoking to get on the field, VoltTurn support is great for it.
