National Dex Need Help With Mega Scizor Offense

Ippo (Scizor-Mega) (M) @ Scizorite

Ability: Light Metal

Tera Type: Bug

EVs: 248 HP / 252 Atk / 8 SpD

Adamant Nature

- Swords Dance

- Roost

- Dual Wingbeat

- Bullet Punch

This is the cornerstone of the team, and its primary win condition. To my understanding Scizor is generally used as a pivot pokemon due to its solid defensive typing and very high defense stat. But i dont think thats necessarily the best way to use that defensive capability, and it instead should be leveraged in the form of setting up against the vast majority of physical attackers to act as a sweeper. In my experience it turns most Landorus T sets, Tusk, iron valiant, mega lopunny, Melmetal, scarf urshifu, gliscor, scarf kartana, weavile, corviknight, and alomomola sets without scald, kyurem, ferrothorn(if they dont have t-wave), and rillaboom into set up fodder. And once it does get set up with a more practical two swords dance, the only things that can stop it are a fully healthy yard, volc, moltres, zapdos, heatran, and fully healthy terapagos. Switching to knock off from dw, could probably help against zapdos, but dual wingbeat lets you beat other msciz and toxapex and still beat alo which you would normally need cc for . I know that list of counters sounds long but volcarona after its first entrance will likely be trying to sweep and can be handled with kingambit that can live a +1 flamethrower, yard is very vulnerable to rocks and getting chipped more generally, moltres has to come in multiple times a game due to also generally being a teams defogger giving it a chance to be chipped. BP,SD, and roost are all kind of mandatory. An added benefit is being able to threaten an ohko on Mdiancie

Mashiba (Dragapult) (M) @ Dragonium Z

Ability: Clear Body

Tera Type: Dragon

EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe

Timid Nature

- Draco Meteor

- Will-O-Wisp

- Hex

- U-turn

Relatively standard set. Going to be my lead most games for more versatility. Wisp can be especially helpful as it turns mon like gambit and ttar trying to pursuit trap it, not only weak enough to live a pursuit from but also into eventual set up fodder for scizor. It also helps beat zamzenta, corviknight. Its immunity is also helpful against urshifu, and its type lets it switch in on yard once and force it out.clear body over infiltrator for exactly webs. Holding a z crystal is also helpful, as its the teams main spin blocker, so if tusks read the switch and go for knock off you can live. Also if youre wondering why theyre both male its because it felt weird ro send out “Ippo” or “mashiba” and for it to be female. Yes it's dumb but idrc.

Miyata (Ogerpon-Wellspring) (F) @ Wellspring Mask

Ability: Water Absorb

Tera Type: Water

EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe

Jolly Nature

- Ivy Cudgel

- Taunt

- Swords Dance

- Horn Leech

The secondary attacker designed to pave the way more or less for a scizor sweep, by threatening to ohko moltres, heatran, and volc, deal huge chip to yard to the point of dying to a non boosted bp, and chipping zapdos. Its typing also lets it switch in on and threaten landorus which can be very helpful. Taunt is here to help with the stall matchup. I think the team could beat stall other wise with careful double switching and wearing down dozo, and at some point forcing sableye to mega evolve so there are no issues with prankster willo, but taunt just makes things easier. It combined with water absorb also shuts down alomomola. Its good speed tier also lets it play clean up if scizor does get kod.

Takamura (Great Tusk) @ Leftovers

Ability: Protosynthesis

Tera Type: Ground

EVs: 252 HP / 252 Atk / 4 SpD

Adamant Nature

- Earthquake

- Stealth Rock

- Rapid Spin

- Knock Off

Probably the best hazard removal in the tier. And to that end knock off helps against spin blockers like gholdengo and pult. Rocks are helpful on our side due to the aforementioned moltres and zapdos issue. Tusks good physical bulk and typing, also is helpful more generally. Earthquake over headlong rush for added longevity.

Vorg (Kyurem) @ Leftovers

Ability: Pressure

Tera Type: Dragon

EVs: 4 HP / 252 SpA / 252 Spe

Timid Nature

IVs: 0 Atk

- Freeze-Dry

- Roost

- Substitute

- Earth Power

Probably the biggest flex spot on the team, and definitely the least logical choice on the team and somewhat vibes based, basically me going in matchup after matchup “huh kyurem would destroy this whole team”. But looking at the viability rankings it does matchup well against a lot, landorus, raging bolt(which alongside zapdos is probably the best scizor wall), zapdos themselves, non superpower waterpon, rotom wash, non av kingmabit, and hrott as well as making the rain matchup near unlosable.. It can also pp stall ferrothorn which in certain situations leads to it no longer being able to wall waterpon. Substitute roost more generally gives it the longevity to help in longer more drawn out games acting as clean up.

Date (Kingambit) @ Assault Vest

Ability: Supreme Overlord

Tera Type: Dark

EVs: 252 HP / 252 Atk / 4 SpD

Adamant Nature

- Pursuit

- Iron Head

- Knock Off

- Sucker Punch

The teams primary special wall. The biggest reason its here is to deal with lele, as most lele sets seem to be scarf and pursuit chunks lele for 80% sans supreme overlord boost. It also helps against gholdengo and pult which are some of the best mons in the tier. Sucker punch also helps against yard letting it chunk it to get into BP range. And as ive already mentioned it helps to beat volcarona.
