Mega Diancie is a staple pick on Fairy teams thanks to the support it brings with Magic Bounce and its status as a strong mixed attacker allowing it to take on a plethora of threats to the type such as Keldeo, Nidoking, and Mantine. Mega Diancie can 2HKO all Poison-type Pokemon such as Alolan Muk and Toxapex with the combination of Diamond Storm and Psychic, while Earth Power allows it to take on Steel- and Electric-types such as Metagross and Alolan Golem. Nature Power gives Mega Diancie a tech option thanks to Tapu Koko's Electric Terrain support, turning Nature Power into Thunderbolt and allowing it to greatly damage would-be checks like Celesteela and Empoleon. Tapu Bulu's Grassy Terrain support turns Nature Power into Energy Ball, which grants Diancie coverage against checks like Mega Swampert and Specially Defensive Gastrodon. Additionally, physical setup sweepers such as Azumarill and Mimikyu are fantastic teammates that can take care of special walls for Mega Diancie such as Chansey, which it could not break past otherwise.
