SV OU My sunny day team

I'm mostly new im competitive pokemon in general, and this is the first team that i made by myself that actually follows a theme, so, this might be a pretty bad team but I'm having fun with it, any way to improve it?

Torkoal @ Heat Rock
Ability: Drought
Tera Type: Fire
EVs: 248 HP / 252 SpA / 8 SpD

- Stealth Rock
- Fire Blast

Torkoal is the lead of the team here, using drought to set sun for 8 turns, and also having stealth rock to set up while having a few offensive moves as its last moves, I most of the time use Torkoal to set up Drought, then use Stealth Rock and switch. And if Sun sets off, I switch back to Torkoal if I can. Overall Torkoal is basically the one that sets sun the most

Heatran (M) @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Flash Fire
Shiny: Yes
Tera Type: Fire
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Solar Beam
- Fire Blast
- Earth Power
- Flash Cannon

Heatran here is mostly playing offensive, having a great range of different moves to use, all with different types, while also having both 252 Spe EV and Choice Scarf to attempt getting rid of its low speed. Solar Beam and Fire Blast both get some benefits in sun, and earth power and flash cannon are here to cover typing and the STAB on flash cannon

Roaring Moon @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Protosynthesis
Tera Type: Dragon
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Crunch
- Fire Fang
- Dragon Claw
- Shadow Claw

Just like Heatran, Roaring Moon takes on a more offensive role here, with a great attack and speed. In terms of moveset, Roaring Moon mostly takes on the role of type coverage with 4 different attack moves with different types. Roaring Moon also gets a stat increase if the sun stays up thanks to Protosynthesis, and also Fire Fang that benefits from the sun staying up. Crunch also gets STAB. Lastly, Roaring Moon also has Choice Scarf for some speed.


Great Tusk @ Rocky Helmet
Ability: Protosynthesis
Tera Type: Ground
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Atk / 4 SpD
Adamant Nature
- Bulk Up
- Earthquake
- Fire Fang
- Close Combat

A slower, more offensive version of Roaring Moon, with two STABs, one move that increases attack and defense, and one move that benefits from the sun, gets a stat increase from the sun too thanks to Protosynthesis, so, basically, Great Tusk is the tank of the team, it's the slowest, but also is pretty durable and has some great offensive capabilities

Walking Wake @ Choice Specs
Ability: Protosynthesis
Tera Type: Water
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Hydro Steam
- Flamethrower
- Protect
- Dragon Pulse

Walking Wake is basically the main sweeper here, it gets a stat increase while the sun is up thanks to Protosynthesis, and has Hydro Steam which has increased damage while the sun is up. Choice Specs, Protosynthesis, and Hydro Steam all offer some stat increases, making Walking Wake in my opinion a pretty powerful pokemon for my team. Flamethrower is here for a generic fire move with the sun increase. Protect is mostly here if I try to predict the opponent's next move, and Dragon Pulse is here for generic STAB.

Scream Tail @ Heat Rock
Ability: Protosynthesis
Tera Type: Fairy
EVs: 252 HP / 4 SpA / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Sunny Day
- Fire Blast
- Light Screen
- Reflect

Scream Tail is the support of the team. Offering great protection with both Light Screen and Reflect. Not only that, but Scream Tail also serves as the substitute for setting up the sun, with a 8 turn Sunny Day thanks to Heat Rock. Scream Tail also gets a stat increase thanks to Protosynthesis. And Fire Blast is here since it gets increased damage while the sun is up.

Here are some changes I would make:

Change Heatran's Tera Type to Grass, as it removes your ground and water weakness while also not being able to be put to sleep. yu don't have to worry about fire moves because of your ability

I would change Great Tusk's FIre Fang to rapid spin, as Tusk becomes a faster wall ad can remove hazards, which you don't have on your team.

You can ignore this, but you could replace Scream Tail's Heat Rock to Light Clay

Choice Scarf on Moon doesn't really make sense: You have moves that cover almost everything but because of Scarf you limited to one move until you switch out. I would change Roaring Moon to this set:

WHy put Protect on a Specs Walking Wake? I would replace Protect for Draco Meteor, as Dragon Pulse is not that strong.
