Hey guys so this is my first time doing a RMT and I decided to put up a decent Mega-Sableye team that I came up with. I also used a Mega-Sableye and Talonflame core as I feel that they have a lot of synergy Do give me any feedback or comments on this team. Okay so lets start of with the main pokemon of this team Mega-Sableye!
Sableye-Mega @ Sablenite
Ability: Prankster
EVs: 252 HP / 112 Def / 144 SpD
Calm Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Calm Mind
- Recover
- Will-O-Wisp
- Dark Pulse
This pokemon will wreck your opponets team-if they dont rage quit that is.This moveset is rather standard but manages to take out quite a lot of the pokemon in the current metagame. Calm mind is used so as to gain both offence and defence and if your opponent brings a pokemon that also gets calm mind or even quiver dance, regular sableye's prankster helps you set-up faster. Recover is mandatory on such a tanky pokemon. Use Will-O-Wisp when you need to cripple physical attackers, but be careful, as Fire Types like Heatran and Charizard can quite easily switch into Mega Sableye and prompt you to waste a turn. Though one may argue that shadow ball hits Mega -sableye's one and only weakness fairies, let's face it you are not going to stay in that pixelate hyper voice. And no pokemon is immune to dark pulse. The EV spread is rather nice in my opinion as it allows you to tank both special AND physical hits better.
Talonflame @ Life Orb
Ability: Gale Wings
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Swords Dance
- Will-O-Wisp
- Brave Bird
- Roost
Okay so the reason I have decided to use talonflame is partially because it resists fairy type moves and mostly because of that priority brave bird. However the reason I did not just use choice banded talonflame is because I feel that Will-O-Wisp can cripple certain pokemon although I am aware of potential fire types staying in. Swords dance allows me to pick up quite a lot of important OHKOs
Roost is quite self-explanatory. So at this point the major threats my team faces are Tyranitar, Ferrothorn,Hetran and opposing sableye. Though I have to watch out for Rotom wash ,Clefable and Garchomp but more importanly I need a spinner. The EV spread is rather stale though.
Excadrill @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Mold Breaker
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Earthquake
- Rock Slide
- Rapid Spin
- Iron Head
This pokemon is amazing and takes out Heatran ,Rotom wash ,Clefable ,Opposing talonflame and so much more! Choice scarf rock slide on zard y seems fun. And gives me a better fairy matchup. Mold breaker EQ is very useful as well. Rapid spin is used to quickly take our rocks on my field and allow other pokemon on my team such as talonflame to easily sweep and allows sableye to not worry about any more damage being recieved. Even so this pokemon is really viable and is rather underused in my opinion. The EV spread is mandatory.
2 | Excadrill | 20.36025% | 340286 | 11.664% | 248249 | 11.349%
Excadrill should be the number one most used pokemon LOL.
So right now tyranitar and garchomp are two really annoying threats but to be honest the latter is not
as scary. But I think this pokemon can somewhat check these two mons
Conkeldurr @ Assault Vest
Ability: Guts
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Atk / 4 Def
Adamant Nature
- Drain Punch
- Mach Punch
- Knock Off
- Ice Punch
Slow and steady sweeps the team. Hi tyranitar! Drain punch! Hi garchomp! Ice punch! This pokemon is ridiculously amazing and is backed up by good offence and good defences especially with an assault vest. Guts is used so that I can switch into Will-O-Wisps headed towards excadrill and get a boost to my attack allowing me to use +1 mach punches while tanking up some hits. Knock off is rather useful against the lati-twins, 252 SpA Life Orb Latios Psychic vs. 212 HP / 108 SpD Assault Vest Conkeldurr: 164-195 (79.2 - 94.2%) -- guaranteed 2HKO. Ferrothorn is somewhat checked by this although I fear rocky helmet and iron barbs. The only problem with this amazing pokemon is its lack of reliable recovery outside of rest which is made unable to use as I am using assault vest anyways. Other than that this pokemon is really solid and strong but Ferrothorn needs to go.
Heatran @ Air Balloon
Ability: Flash Fire
EVs: 248 HP / 252 SpA / 8 SpD
Modest Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Earth Power
- Lava Plume
- Stealth Rock
- Taunt
This pokemon serves as a solid counter to ferrothorn AND other stuff...Taunt is used to check chansey while my other moves just obliterate stuff. Magnezone, opposing heatran, manectric all get taken out by earth power. Also i need to get some rocks up to allow sableye to have a easier time sweeping or stalling. Air balloon very useful. Flash fire is useful as i can take fire moves aimed at excadrill while getting a buff.So far my team only needs to worry about one pokemon mega-slowbro but I can deal with it by using sableye. So now I need a secondary sweeper.
Latias (F) @ Sitrus Berry
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 72 HP / 184 SpA / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Calm Mind
- Draco Meteor
- Energy Ball
- Roost
Energy ball two hit KO's Mega-Slowbro. Deal with it. At plus two it OHKO's it. Calm mind is used to buff latias and power it up both offensively and defensively while draco metors damage is very formidable and energy ball is used to hit water and ground types while I use roost to set up safely. Crits are not liked though.
That the end of this RMT. Do give me sone feed back and here is the pastebin.
