SS OU My best SSOU team (max ELO 1650)

Hi guys, this is my first smogon post so i hope u enjoy it ,this is the best team that i ever built for this generation.Of course it could be improved so if someone has some ideas,i'll consider it

Well,here is the team: :ss/conkeldurr: , :ss/toxapex: , :ss/aegislash: , :ss/rotom-heat: , :ss/kyurem:
zarude.jpg

SOME STATEMENTS FOR THE TEAM:

Well, this team is a middle way between offensive and balanced,i decided to use three choice items to do as much damage as possible to the opponent's switch'ins.
Zarude and conkeldurr have a good bulkiness so they can have defensive roles, lastly Toxapex and rotom-heat act just as support

THE TEAM:
zarude.jpg

Rude?No,Zarude (Zarude) @ Choice Band
Ability: Leaf Guard
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Darkest Lariat
- Close Combat
- Power Whip
- Rock Slide/U-turn

Maybe an underrated pokemon because of his types combination, his mediocre ability and of course the 4x weakness to u turn, but i think this is the best possible set for Zarude,he has a good bulkiness and a quite good attack base stat so he can do really good damages with his stab moves, then i decided to complete the set with close combact to knock out steel bulky pokemons such as ferrothorn or magnezone, but also against dark urshifu or chansey, and then rock slide just to 1hitko volcarona ,which is one of the most used pokemon in this meta.U-turn can be good too,to create momentum

:ss/conkeldurr:
Rocky (Conkeldurr) @ Flame Orb
Ability: Guts
EVs: 108 HP / 252 Atk / 148 SpD
Adamant Nature
- Facade/Poison jab
- Close Combat/drain punch
- Mach Punch
- Knock Off

Well,Conkeldurr is not so much present in this meta because he sucks from bulky fairy types such as clefable, primarina or azumarill. However ,thanks to his high attack base stat ,he can do a lot of damages especially when he got the attack boost from his flame orb.Let's see the set: of course he need his stab moves, mach punch can always be good as a priority move, then close combat or drain punch to recover and allow conkeldurr to survive longer, then of course knock off is always good as an utility move, and a good predict against a ghost type switch-in.In the end i decided for the Flame orb+guts+facade boost combo ,he do big damages against bulky pokemons for example toxapex or amooungus.Poison jab can do fine damages against clefable and allows conkeldurr to 1hitko primarina.(I'm not so sure about the evs)

:ss/rotom-heat:
Jimbo (Rotom-Heat) @ Heavy-Duty Boots
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 252 HP / 48 Def / 4 SpA / 204 SpD
Calm Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Volt Switch
- Overheat/Toxic
- Defog
- Pain Split

In my opinion rotom heat could be really good in this team because he covered the fairy weaknesses of Zarude and Conkeldurr, hes a quite solid defogger thanks to the boots that allows him to enter in the game safely, and he is a good answer to volcarona.Talking about the set of course he need his electric stab move to create momentum, then we said defog and pain split to make it more annoying, and to improve his longevity. For the last move i choosed his powerful fire stab to knock out steel types such as ferrothorn or corviknight, alternatively toxic is good to stall and make more pressure.

:ss/aegislash:
Arthur (Aegislash) @ Choice Specs
Ability: Stance Change
EVs: 252 HP / 4 Atk / 252 SpA
Quiet Nature
- Shadow Ball
- Flash Cannon
- Shadow Sneak
- Close Combat/Air slash

The mainly reason why i choose Aegislash is to counter clefable ,but i really like this pokemon because he have really good types combination and because he can easily switch defense into attack due to his ability.I decided for a mixed set because it has both balanced attacks so he can spam big damages with his two stab moves. To complete the set i decided for Shadow sneak which is actually a good priority and close combat just to improve his coverage and because i wanted another answer for chansey/blissey which counters Aegi badly.Alternative air slash could be good against grass types,he can 1hitko hawlucha and do really big damages to +1 spdef volcarona.

:ss/kyurem:
Freezer (Kyurem) @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Pressure
EVs: 4 HP / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Modest Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Ice Beam
- Earth Power/Focus blast
- Draco Meteor
- Freeze-Dry

My second fast special attacker,i choose him because of his pretty balanced stats and because i think he's a good rillaboom counter.I know, not the most common set for kyurem but the scarf item can be unexpected and allows kyurem to be faster than dragapult(unless it is scarf too),urshifu and specs kyurem,of course with the choice scarf i decided for a max sp atk investiment. The set is pretty obvious ice beam and draco meteor to spam damages, then freeze dry to improve his coverage againsty bulky water types, mainly primarina, about the last move i stated that earth power is better than focus blast because it allows kyurem to do fine damages on aegislash which is one of his main counters.

:ss/toxapex:
Melanie (Toxapex) @ Black Sludge
Ability: Regenerator
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 SpD
Bold Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Scald
- Recover
- Haze
- Toxic/baneful bunker/knock off/toxic spikes

Well,i guess that almost every ou player has toxapex in his team,we all know his cancer attitude and defensive utility, and thats why i decided for him as the 6th pokemon. He can psysichally wall almost everything,of course he s in danger against excadrill or choice band rhyperior.Talking about the set Toxapex can be used in many ways: i think scald ,recover and haze are pretty forced,as four move i choose toxic because he do more damages and put pressure on the other pokemon, but u can go for toxic spikes which put pressure as well ,the last two options that i suggest are knock off,as an utility move or baneful bunker to know something about opponents set and at the same time get poison it if he do a physical move.

Hey, I'm here to rate your team

On paper this team doesn't look bad at all. You have decent synergy with your Pokemon, and have answers to a lot of the metagame. The first thing that jumps out to me is your Zarude set. As a wallbreaker this Pokemon is outclassed, and you already have Aegislash and Conkeldurr to break the opposing team, so this role could be better used. I actually think the best suggestion is to replace both Zarude and Conkeldurr with Urshifu. Urshifu outclasses both of these Pokemon as a wallbreaker, and you lose very little in combining these two (pretty much only Mach Punch utility, which isn't worth a team slot).

So you have a free slot on your team, and I think the best pick is Hippowdon. Your team is a bulky offense team that could greatly benefit from Hippowdon, as I could see something like Volcarona causing you a lot of trouble. Hippowdon also offers you crucial support in the form of Stealth Rock, something you currently lack.

Lastly, I don't think Scarf Kyurem is very good. Its main function is to hit hard, or stall with a SubRoost set. If you're looking for a fast Dragon, you're probably better off running Dragapult, but I personally think just changing Scarf Kyurem > SubRoost Kyurem is the better option. You'll get more use out of this set, as it works well with and Hippowdon's and Toxapex's ability to spread status.

Hope this helped

Urshifu @ Choice Band
Ability: Unseen Fist
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 Def / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Wicked Blow
- Close Combat
- Iron Head
- U-turn

Hippowdon @ Leftovers
Ability: Sand Stream
EVs: 252 HP / 4 Def / 252 SpD
Careful Nature
- Earthquake
- Slack Off
- Stealth Rock
- Toxic

Kyurem @ Metronome
Ability: Pressure
EVs: 56 HP / 200 SpA / 252 Spe
Hasty Nature
- Freeze-Dry
- Icicle Spear
- Substitute
- Roost

Hi man, well im agree with u about zarude and conkeldurr replacement with band urshifu, also because conkeldurr is honestly really slow.Talking about hippowdon im completely agree with u about stealth rocks lackness in the team, its always fine to do cheap damages to help my offensive pokemon in the switch ins.In the end i dont particularly like that kyurem set,i mean kyurem scarf is quite unexpected and allows me to outspeed dragapult or urshifu,i know dragapult is faster but i dont like his special attack stat.

Thank you for suggestions

No problem, this is your team after all, hopefully these suggestions help you at least consider other stuff. Best of luck with the team

Cool team, not here to rate just have a couple questions.
-How often do you use Rock Slide on Zarude? I tried messing around with it but I didn’t find myself in too many situations where it was useful.
-Have you found success using facade on conk?

Also Nosaka is goated.

thank u man, rock slide is useful only against volcarona +0 otherwise i suggested u turn as 4 move, facade can be good against toxapex and clefable,if u want u can use earthquake or poison jab for fairies,it depends mainly from your predicts skill, for example me when i play around 1600 elo sometimes i need a lot of predicts to win a game
