What is Monotype UU?This thread will serve as the primary place for metagame resources and general discussion.

Monotype UU is a unique tier that functions as a usage-based tier beneath Monotype.
Tiering Method
The Monotype UU tier begins with a base of the regular Monotype format.
We look at the Monotype usage statistics from the previous months, and ban a Pokemon if one of these conditions is true:
- It has only one type and has more than 2.26% usage
- It has more than 4.52% usage
As of February 2024, Latios is banned even though it's usable in the UU tier. It gets more than 4.52% usage in Monotype, so it's banned in Monotype UU.
From this starting point, the community and council decide on bans.
The Monotype UU council will quickban any blatantly overpowered, uncompetitive or toxic Pokemon with a 3/4 (75% or greater) majority to "Monotype UUBL."
