[OVERVIEW]

-
Mega Camerupt is a great option to use on Ground teams that need a good special attacking wallbreaker.
-It has a great special attack stat of 145, and combined with the much coveted Sheer Force ability, which gives it attacks that have a secondary effect a 30% increase in damage output.
-Its unique typing of Fire/Ground grants it key neutralities to Grass- and Ice-type moves, letting it check the likes of Mega Abomasnow, Rotom-Frost and Mega Venusaur.
-However, its poor speed leaves it open for revenge killers once it weakened.
-It is 4x weak to water, making it absolutely necessary to have a water absorber on the team, which makes Gastrodon and Seismitoad good partners.
-It has a respectable attack stat of 120, which allows it to run a mixed set if desired.
-It has access to Will-o-Wisp, which is a unique status that no other Ground types have.
-It has no source of reliable recovery, which affects its longitivity in battle.

[SET COMMENTS]

Moves
======

-Fire Blast is STAB that hits Avalugg for super effective damage and Mega Venusaur for neutral damage, which are usually a problem for Ground teams.
-Will-O-Wisp lets it shut down threats like Azumarill and Gyarados which usually like to switch in on Mega Camerupt, by halving their attack stat, making them much lesser threats.
-Ancient Power is a great coverage move that it OHKO the likes of Volcarona and Mega Charizard Y, while still being able to survive any of their attacks thanks to it good bulk.

Set Details
========

-The 84 EVs investment in speed let it outspeed uninvested base 30 speed threats like Mega Abomasnow, Avalugg, Amoonguss and Slowbro.
-A Modest nature lets it peak its wallbreaking potency.
-The remaining 172 EVs are added to HP to add to its overall bulk.

Usage Tips
========

-Mega Camerupt can be used to exert great offensive pressure.
-Can be switched in on a Will-o-wisp, helping offensive teammates to avoid burns which might cripple them.
-It should only be used once its checks are taken care of.

Team Options
========

-Water switch-ins like Gastrodon and Seismitoad are appreciated by Mega Camerupt.
-Knock Off users like Seismitoad and Landorus help in getting past Chansey.
-Teammates with Ground immunity like Gliscor and Landorus can switch in on a ground type move that Mega Camerupt is weak to.
-Choice Scarf users like Excadrill can take advantage of a foe weakened by Mega Camerupt and get a kill.
-Stealth Rock setters like Garchomp help Mega Camerupt get some crucial KOs as well as pressuring the foe on switching.

[STRATEGY COMMENTS]
====================

-Flamethrower can be used over Fire Blast because of the accuracy, but it isn't as strong, and would end up missing some crucial KOs.
-Rock Slide can be used over Ancient Power to OHKO a Volcarona, which would otherwise be a 2HKO after a Quiver Dance.
-Toxic can be used over Will-o-wisp, which catches walls like Slowbro and Chansey, forcing them to switch out.

Checks and Counters
===================

-Chansey can easily tank any of Mega Camerupt's attacks, and can Toxic stall in return. It is necessary to deal with Chansey before attempting to clean up with Mega Camerupt.

**Water Types**
Most water types can either OHKO Mega Camerupt or proceed to set up on it. Azumarill outspeeds and OHKOs with Aqua Jet. Gyarados finds chances to set up on Mega Camerupt with Dragon Dance. Keldeo easily OHKOs with Scald, or can set up Calm Mind on it.

**Dragon types**
Mega Latias takes little damage from both Fire Blast and Ancient Power, and can regain lost health with Roost, making it hard to deal with. Garchomp can OHKO Mega Camerupt with Earthquake before it has a chance to attack.
