i have this pokemon to sweep teams it is super effective against
i have sash because teams that use stealth rock this pokemon isn't very helpful anyway
i like swarm because i use sash
i use bug buzz instead of roost so swarm works and it is easier for it to sweep
1640358509024.png

i have this pokemon because i like sticky web for my sweeps
its moves can be really helpful for fainting pokemon that are weak against it
and it helps with my flying weakness
1640358483826.png

i use to sweep i have knock off for ghost types superpower for ice/normal types and bullet punch for fairies i usually swords dance first
1640358497177.png

i use dual wing beat for other bugs teams and i use choice scarf for speed
1640358519806.png

i use for clean up when my sweepers don't kill all
i don't use a bug move bc i feel as if my other pokemon have that covered
1640358534685.png

i use this pokemon for type coverage.

why are you running a choice scarf on a mon with 40 base speed and two priority moves??? make it adamant, drop bb for koff and jet for spikes and then give it some HP EVs.

i would also make ribombee your lead and give it webs, make galvantula specs or something, and then give volc boots with roost > psychic.

full team
Hi, welcome to monotype. Bug Monotype is one of the harder types to use due to being reliant on sweepers + webs to get going, and lack of proper Water and Electric immunities, making (Rain) Water Matchup and Electric matchup pretty much :). Anyway, your team has some of the highlights of mono bug, namely the op core of Scizor and Volc, and the really hot revenge killer and late game sweeper in Buzzwole. However, there a few suggestions I'd make to improve the team.

:volcarona:
Volcarona @ Focus Sash -> Heavy-Duty Boots
Ability: Swarm Flame Body
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Modest Nature Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Quiver Dance
- Fire Blast
- Psychic
- Bug Buzz Giga Drain
Your team currently lacks any form of hazard removal, and most monotypes will set Stealth Rocks on you on the same turn you set Sticky Webs (or if they can kill Galvan in one hit, then they set rocks). Because of this, Heavy-Duty Boots will help Volc more in the long run than sash, because more often than not, you'll end up having rocks in your side of the field. I also swapped Bug Buzz for Giga Drain, because you currently have a hard time with defensive Pokemon such as Hippowdon, Gastrodon, and Slowbro. Swapped Swarm for Flame Body because we don't have a bug move anyway.

:scizor:
Scizor's set is good, though you can consider Roost over Super Power, as it allows you to stay longer in the field and be a scary threat ...longer

:buzzwole:
Buzzwole @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Beast Boost
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Close Combat
- Ice Punch
- Dual Wingbeat Stone Edge
- Leech Life / Earthquake

Dual Wingbeat is unnecessary for this Buff Mosquito, mainly because in the Bug mirror, your goal is to setup Volcarona and weaken its checks like Araquanid. Stone edge allows our buff mosquito to threaten pesky Fire and Flying types such as Blacephalon and Mantine. Earthquake can be considered over leech life if you wanna try to go for sweeping Electric and Poison, plus making Steel teams cry because Aegislash can't take Earthquakes cleanly, but this option is more like up to you than anything :3.

:galvantula:
Galvantula @ Heavy-Duty Boots Focus Sash
Ability: Compound Eyes
EVs: 4 Def / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Sticky Web
- Thunder
- Energy Ball / Thunder Wave
- Bug Buzz

Its a hazard setter and Sticky webs is usually why you'd run mono bug...so Focus sash makes sure you set them. Thunder Wave may be used to slow down threats and annoy most Pokemon, but Energy Ball is a fair choice.

:ribombee:
Ribombee @ Heavy-Duty Boots
Ability: Shield Dust
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Quiver Dance
- Moonblast
- Energy Ball Bug Buzz
- Psychic
Sporting a much higher speed tier than Volcarona, which allows it to outspeed Choice Scarf Latias (the most common Psychic Scarfer) at +1, it would be nice to stick the Bug Buzz here, allowing Ribombee to sweep types such as Psy, Dark, Dragon at +1.

:golisopod: -> :heracross:
Golisopod...isnt really that bad. However, Choice Scarf Golisopod has no business to be in a mono bug team (still too slow at +1). However, since you said you use the Pokemon for "Coverage", and there really isn't enough ways to bully Poison and Steel harder:
Heracross @ Flame Orb
Ability: Guts
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Swords Dance
- Close Combat
- Facade
- Knock Off
This is guts Heracross, breaker of fat. At +2, its quite unwallable, forcing the opponent to sack something to get the revenge killer in. Under webs, this revenge killing business becomes much harder, as it forces them to use their scarfer to take this thing out...which your sweepers in Volcarona and Scizor can take advantage of.

The rated team : :volcarona: :scizor: :buzzwole: :galvantula: :ribombee: :heracross:

There is an alternate ...thing though. Heavy Duty Boots Galvantula can be legitimately threatening, and can be used late game to sweep Flying, Water, to name a few. Because of this, if we used a Galvantula like that, we have to drop Heracross for an alternative Sticky Webs setter. Funnily, that team is actually in the samples, made by Maroon. It can be found here. If you only care about the paste, its here.

Hope I helped and you find the fixed (and Maroon's sample) team enjoyable :blobnom:

that you

Bug Buzz Volcarona + Spikes Golisopod is fine. Bug Buzz is pretty nice for Galarian Slowking and even versus Ground, you can stack Spikes with Golisopod, use Taunt and utilize Golisopod's Emergency Exit to setup without fearing a potential Toxic from Gastrodon or Whirlwind from Hippowdon the turn you setup. Bug Buzz Volcarona + Scizor + Ice Punch Buzzwole can also cover the Dragon matchup. Ribombee mainly feels good against Water to an extent bug overall I don't think it's supereffective as it was in DLC1 because of specific things you face like Dragon: Dragalge/Dragonite, Water: Toxapex/Volcanion/Barraskweda, and etc. Volcarona doesn't break past Nihilego Poisons easily so having Heracross is pretty nice (it also helps with general walls and breaks Steel.

:ss/galvantula:
Bug Buzz -> Toxic

Bug Buzz is generally filler and Galvantula on paper is meant to do good against Flying; however, threats like Thundurus-T, Dragonite, and Landorus-T exists. Toxic seems really great since HP Ice isn't a thing in this generation. Galvantula is setup bait to all of these Pokemon and I feel like Toxic makes it less passive on Bug teams.

:ss/buzzwole:
Buzzwole @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Beast Boost
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Ice Punch
- Stone Edge
- Close Combat
- Earthquake
Ice Punch on Buzzwole is a nice lure for like Landorus-T and good coverage against Dragon. I think dropping Stone Edge is a little weird, say you KO the Garchomp with Ice Punch in the Dragon matchup and you are Buzzwole vs Kyurem but there is a Dragapult left. Stone Edge is a good play because there is no other Rock resistant Pokemon on the field (unless your opponent is bad and is using Duraludon). Bug really appreciates the coverage this generation and I feel like Ice Punch / CC / EQ / Edge makes use of its coverage the most. This Buzzwole set is 1v1d by Aegislash and Toxapex and I think Earthquake is really useful.

:ss/ribombee: -> :ss/heracross:

Heracross feels glue on Bug, I'd change the Ribombee -> Heracross here.

:ss/golisopod:
Golisopod @ Heavy-Duty Boots
Ability: Emergency Exit
EVs: 72 HP / 252 Atk / 184 Spe
Adamant Nature
- First Impression
- Taunt
- Spikes
- Liquidation
This outspeeds Celesteela and does good against Steel/Poison/Ground/etc/etc
