Hey guys! Speklez here with a new team for the Mono-type league. It was built by me and the help of a player named acetrainer. The team is based off mega beedrill and has gotten me pretty far. So lets get on with the team
Beedrill @ Beedrillite
Ability: Sniper
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- U-turn
- Protect
- Drill Run
- Poison Jab
Beedrill was one of my favorite pokemon back in the old games. Ever since Gen VI, I wanted to build
a team around it. Once beedrill M-Evolves, his stats don't go up so soon
i use protect to get that speed boost i need. Usually i'd go for the u-turn but sometimes the
rival will have a disadvantage against one of my moves. With that max attack, I May end up ko-ing the rivals pokemon, or it might not do that and i'll lose Beedrill right off the bat.
Heracross @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Guts
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Atk / 4 Def
Adamant Nature
- Close Combat
- Earthquake
- Pin Missile
- Night Slash
Heracross is a good sweeper against mono ghost teams. If he gets burned by will-o-wisp,
i'll just keep night slashing it till its down. CC is STAB, earthquake is for mono steel, fire, rock and ground teams. I remember a mono PSI team used TRICK on heracross and couldn't use other pokes cause i was the last poke on the guys team...
Scizor @ Choice Band
Ability: Technician
EVs: 252 HP / 128 Atk / 128 Def

Ability: Speed Boost

The Super charged sanic version of a bug. Just keep
speed booting and attacking. I use speed boost in between moves, or when i know my opponent is gonna use protect even though I don't attack. Mega Horn is stab and earthquake, well you know what its for.
Galvantula @ Focus Sash
Ability: Compound Eyes
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Thunderbolt
- Giga Drain
- Bug Buzz
- Sticky Web

he helps against mono water. His good SpA makes him stong and giga drain keeps him going.
Volcarona @ Life Orb
Ability: Flame Body
EVs: 4 HP / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Modest Nature
- Quiver Dance
- Fiery Dance
- Hidden Power [Ice]
- Bug Buzz
He was originally Crustle as a SRer with shell smash, but Carona light beer was better.
Quiver x2 + F-dance is good on mono ice and water.
HP ice is for dragon and grass and bug buzz is there, cause its bug buzz.
