[SET COMMENTS]
Galarian Moltres serves as a unique setup sweeper on hyper offense teams thanks to its ability to effortlessly set up Nasty Plot against metagame staples such as Tornadus-T and Gholdengo with its solid defensive and offensive profile. Agility allows Galarian Moltres to outpace dangerous revenge killers such as Mega Lopunny, Zamazenta, and Choice Scarf Kartana. However, Taunt is also a valuable alternative to Agility in order to shut down defensive checks like Haze Toxapex and Unaware Clodsire while also preventing common status spreaders like Landorus-T, Ferrothorn, and Heatran from limiting its sweep. Heavy-Duty Boots negates chip damage from entry hazards and allows Galarian Moltres to set up more reliably. Flyinium Z is used in order to quickly eliminate bulkier threats such as Toxapex and Ferrothorn without risking a miss due to Hurricane's poor accuracy; however, this leaves Galarian Moltres unable to Terastallize against threats such as Tapu Lele. Sitrus Berry is another option that lets Galarian Moltres maintain its health and trigger Berserk twice. Galarian Moltres is a great user of Terastallization, using Tera Steel to set up on its standard checks in Tapu Lele, Toxapex, Tapu Koko, and Clefable. Tera Steel also lets it resist many forms of priority including, but not limited to, Mega Lopunny and Mega Medicham's Fake Out, Weavile's Ice Shard, and Mega Scizor's Bullet Punch. However, Galarian Moltres's new weaknesses mean that it has a harder time setting up on Mega Loppuny, Heatran, and Landorus-T while also being susceptible to other forms of priority like Kingambit's Sucker Punch.
Galarian Moltres enjoys dual screens support to let it set up incredibly easily, so Tapu Koko makes for a great partner as both a solid pivot and dual screens setter. Galarian Moltres can struggle against threats such as Mega Diancie, Iron Valiant, Kingambit, and Mega Tyranitar, so Mega Scizor and Hawlucha make for great partners to handle its checks offensively; in return, Galarian Moltres can break through Pokemon such as Toxapex, Landorus-T, and Gholdengo for them. Fighting-types such as Urshifu-R, Iron Valiant, and Zamazenta are also good partners that can check threats like Heatran, Kingambit, and Garganacl for Galarian Moltres. Iron Valiant, in particular, also synergizes well with dual screens Tapu Koko, making it a fantastic cleaner after Galarian Moltres has broken through the opposing team.
