With 105 Base Speed, it's hard to understand why it has been overlooked.

[SET]
name: Sub/Destiny Bond
move 1: Substitute
move 2: Destiny Bond
move 3: Shadow Ball
move 4: T-bolt / HP Fighting
item: Leftovers
nature: Timid
evs: 48 HP / 208 SPA / 252 SPE

[SET COMMENTS]

Mismagius has the advantage of surprise with Destiny Bond. With only a handful of pokemon being faster than Mismagius, it's very easy to pull this set off. Being immune to many common priority moves (Fake Out, Mach Punch, Vacuum Wave) and able to use Substitute on Sucker Punch means that Mismagius will almost always take at least 1 pokemon down.

The idea is simple: Substitute to block status moves and Sucker Punch and attack away. Play mind games with your opponent. If your opponent brought something out that you feel is going to be a problem to your team, lure it to attack with your Substitutes and use Destiny Bond to rid yourself of a potential threat. Want to get a free attack? Use Destiny Bond to lure them away from attacking and Substitute for a free attack on your next turn. Your opponent hit you down below 25% and you can't use Substitute anymore? If you're faster, keep using Destiny Bond until your Leftovers brought you back up over 25% (doesn't work in a sandstorm). Opponent outplay you and managed to get a pokemon behind a substitute? Come in and Destiny Bond away; yes it works around Subs!! Don't be afraid to switch out to a counter pokemon either. Mismagius can always come back for more fun.

While playing evil mind games with Destiny Bond and Substitute, it does come at a cost. Not having Calm Mind does mean that you will be walled by some pokemon that you would normally shrug off (mainly Chansey and Sleep/Talk Registeel). That doesn't mean your opponent won't start attacking away and fall victim to your Destiny Bond. Prediction is always key. Now you have to decide on your 4th move slot. While it is typical for Mismagius to run T-Bolt or HP Fighting to cover possible counters, this slot is completely open for you to play with for more surprise factor. Charge Beam is a possible option to get a free SpA boost. Will-o-Wisp, T-Wave and Taunt are also viable options if you don't mind losing coverage but gaining status support.

A great team player, Mismagius will usually blow holes in your opponents defense that give your sweepers the opportunity to come in and do their thing. Mismagius works well in conjunction with Fighting type pokemon to cover it's weaknesses. Hitmonlee, Hariyama, Hitmontop and Blaziken are all pokemon Mismagius likes to have close by.

Eh, this isn't a bad edit but I don't like the idea of a set that is designed to die.

If you are going to use a set like this, I wouldn't be doing it for the reasons you mentioned. The Team Options part of this edit is kinda lacking, covering only Fighting-types that beat Mismagius' counters anyways. You should be more focused on using Mismagius as a lure if you're going to use this. Things like Registeel are lured in by Mismagius...so you should be teaming up with pokemon that benefit from Registeel being out of the picture. Normal-types and Roserade would be especially good partners for this set.

From your experience with the set, what do you find switching into you? What KOs do you get with this set? Your team options should be focused on using pokemon that benefit from Missy getting those KOs. The current team options only include things that EVERY pokemon likes to have close by.

Minor nitpick:

[SET]
name: Sub / Destiny Bond (added an extra space)
move 1: Substitute
move 2: Destiny Bond
move 3: Shadow Ball
move 4: Thunderbolt (Never use abbreviations in a write-up) / HP Fighting
item: Leftovers
nature: Timid
evs: 48 HP / 208 SpA / 252 Spe (uncapitalized)

Actually, I think this is inferior to Drifblim. Drifblim can boost up it's Speed to unbearable levels using Unburden and a Salac Berry, whereas it's much bulkier Subs than Mismagius means it can take assaults from weaker attacks like a Sceptile stuck into it's STAB Grass move without the Sub fading. Personally I think it'd be better to use a "Double-Ghost" strategy using Drifblim's Destiny Bond to take out a Registeel, then sweep with CMissy... but hey, this is a Mismagius thread, right?...

Just noticed a lot of Grammatical mistakes, such as in the paragraph where you repedadely mention "playing evil mind games with your opponent". It tightens up your writing to not use the same word / phrase too often. But out of curiosity...what would, from your experience with this set, be the point to lay down your attacks and Destiny Bond?

(removed "While")Playing evil mind games with Destiny Bond and Substitute (removed ", it") does come at a cost. This needs work if it's going to go into the anlysis as a seperate set. For starters, remember to use all full forms of words (Thunderbolt>T-bolt, etc.) in the write-up. Pokemon is capatilised. Besides these errors though, the problem with this write-up is how it's written; you're writing it like it's a commercial. You're not trying to sell the reader your set, your just informing them about your set. Strict information. Think more Wikipedia. As an example. instead of saying this

Want to get a free attack? Use Destiny Bond to lure them away from attacking and Substitute for a free attack on your next turn.

we'd say this

Destiny Bond lures said Pokemon from attacking while Substitute goves Mismagius a free attack on your next turn.

About the actual set, I'd say I'd prefer to see a small mention of Destiny Bond in the Sub+Calm Mind set or Other Options and only that. There isn't much real content here anyway; no one's really missing out.

edit: mm also what jrrr said!!

Just a few things I thought needed changing. Also, the second paragraph in my post, I thought could be shortened quite a bit to the following:

If your opponent brought something out that you feel will be a problem to your team, if you want a free attack, if your opponent outplayed you and has a Pokemon behind a Sub? Destiny Bond is an answer to all these problems. Don't be afraid to switch out a counter Pokemon either. Mismagius can always come back for more fun.

As far as viability, though I find this set to be as successful as any other Pokemon employing a suicide strategy, I do feel that the set comments themselves need a major overhaul. If _Goose_ cannot/won't update this, I feel that someone else should, so it's on-par with the rest of the analyses going on-site.

EDIT: If no one has any complaints, I would be able to rewrite the set comments for this set immediately after I finish my Spiritomb revamp.

will do, though Colonel_Marcus told me he'd rather me wait until the suspect process is done before updating. Once that is done, however, I'll get right to work.

EDIT: I talked to you on IRC about this, and will post a revamp soon.
