[SET COMMENTS]
Thanks to its high natural Special Attack further bostered by Hadron Engine as well as its decent Speed, Gholdengo functions as a menacing wallbreaker with Choice Specs, while it functions as speed control and as a revenge killer with Choice Scarf sets. Thunderbolt 2HKOes physically defensive RegenVest Manaphy, Primarina, and non-Volt Absorb Empoleon. Trick cripples common switch-ins to Gholdengo such as Swampert and Blissey, while Recover increases its longevity and allows it to switch in on certain attacks like Boomburst from Pixilate Scream Tail more consistently; alternatively, Dazzling Gleam nails Roaring Moon and Iron Hands. A Choice Scarf can be used to outspeed maximum Speed Great Tusk, Chien-Pao, and non-Choice Scarf Roaring Moon, but Choice Specs is an alternative option that allows Gholdengo to 2HKO specially defensive RegenVest Manaphy and Jirachi and pressure RegenVest users harder. Gholdengo pairs well with strong wallbreakers like Deoxys-S and Primarina, as they are able to break down bulky walls like Hisuian Goodra and Swampert, allowing Gholdengo to clean up. Gholdengo also pairs well with entry hazard setters like Ting-Lu and Garchomp, as the Spikes they set up can quickly wear down RegenVest Pokemon. While being a niche set, Surge Surfer Iron Hands pairs incredibly with Gholdengo, as it requires Electric Terrain to be up for it to function as a cleaner. Gholdengo struggles to find opportunities to safely switch in, so slow pivots such as Corviknight, Manaphy, and Swampert are appreciated. Hazard removers like Great Tusk and Corviknight are necessary to prevent Gholdengo from being worn down by Spikes, especially if it's not running Recover. Gholdengo struggles against Heavy-Duty Boots Blissey and RegenVest Pokemon like Swampert and Hisuian Goodra, so Pokemon that can easily use Knock Off like Manaphy and Magic Guard Roaring Moon make for good partners.

Thanks to its high natural Special Attack stat further bolstered by Hadron Engine and Choice Specs as well as its decent Speed improved by Choice Scarf, Gholdengo functions as a menacing wallbreaker, a general speed control Pokemon, and a revenge killer nitpick but id emphasise that youre only really using this as speed control and a revenge killer if youre running scarf. Thunderbolt 2HKOes physically defensive RegenVest Manaphy, Primarina, and non-Volt Absorb Empoleon, while Trick punishes common switch-ins to Gholdengo such as Swampert and Blissey; alternatively, Recover increases its longevity and allows it to switch in on certain attacks like Boomburst from Pixilate Scream Tail more consistently. A Choice Scarf can be used to outspeed max Speed Great Tusk, Chien-Pao, and Iron Boulder, but Choice Specs is an alternative option that allows Gholdengo to 2HKO specially defensive RegenVest Manaphy, Jirachi, and physically defensive Iron Hands you dont need specs to 2hko non regenvest hands, and idt physdef regenvest hands is really used. Gholdengo pairs well with strong wallbreakers like Zamazenta, Chien-Pao, and Primarina as they are able to break down bulky walls like Corviknight ghold doesnt need corv to be broken down to clean up, leaving it up to you as to how you want to rewrite this section and Swampert, allowing Gholdengo to clean up. Gholdengo struggles to find opportunities to safely switch in, so slow pivots such as Corviknight, Manaphy, and Swampert are appreciated. Gholdengo tends to get worn down easily by entry hazards such as Spikes, especially without Recover, so hazard removers like Great Tusk and Corviknight are necessary.

mention hazard setters to wear down regenvesters, knock users to help make progress against boots and regenvest users, and teammates that appreciate eterrain e.g. surge surfer hands

Thanks to its high natural Special Attack further bostered by Hadron Engine as well as its decent Speed, Gholdengo functions as a menacing wallbreaker with Choice Specs, while it functions as speed control and as a revenge killer with Choice Scarf sets. (the first line saying 'special attack boosted by specs as well as speed boosted by scarf' doesn't really make sense, so the first part now talks about the traits both sets have and then gets into the specifics) Thunderbolt 2HKOes physically defensive RegenVest Manaphy, Primarina, and non-Volt Absorb Empoleon. Trick cripples common switch-ins to Gholdengo such as Swampert and Blissey, while Recover increases its longevity and allows it to switch in on certain attacks like Boomburst from Pixilate Scream Tail more consistently; alternatively, (AC; alternatvely here is an introductory phrase, which needs a comma after it) Dazzling Gleam nails Roaring Moon and Iron Hands. A Choice Scarf can be used to outspeed max maximum (abbreviations/shortening like max/min should always be written out) Speed Great Tusk, Chien-Pao, and non-Choice Scarf Roaring Moon, but Choice Specs is an alternative option that allows Gholdengo to 2HKO specially defensive RegenVest Manaphy and Jirachi and pressure RegenVest users harder. Gholdengo pairs well with strong wallbreakers like Deoxys-S and Primarina, (AC; comma before 'as' when meaning because) as they are able to break down bulky walls like Hisuian Goodra and Swampert, allowing Gholdengo to clean up. Gholdengo also pairs well with entry hazard setters (first mention of hazards per paragraph = entry hazards) like Ting-Lu and Garchomp, (AC) as the Spikes they set up can quickly wear down RegenVest Pokemon. While being a niche set, Surge Surfer Iron Hands pairs incredibly with Gholdengo, (AC) as it requires Electric Terrain to be up for it to function as a cleaner. Gholdengo struggles to find opportunities to safely switch in, so slow pivots such as Corviknight, Manaphy, and Swampert are appreciated. Gholdengo tends to get worn down easily by entry hazards such as Spikes, especially without Recover, so hazard Hazard removers like Great Tusk and Corviknight are necessary to prevent Gholdengo from being worn down by Spikes, especially if it's not running Recover. Gholdengo struggles against Heavy-Duty Boots Blissey and RegenVest Pokemon like Swampert and Hisuian Goodra, so Pokemon that can easily use Knock Off like Manaphy and Magic Guard Roaring Moon make for good partners. (these last three points have the exact same structure, so i'm varying them for repetition)
