Moves
========
  • Scald is Milotic's STAB attack of choice as it has reliable damage output along with a 30% chance to burn the target which is noteable in crippling Pokemon that like to switch in such as Ferrothorn.
  • Ice Beam allows Milotic to hit the Grass- and Dragon-types that resist its STAB such as Breloom, Latios, and Dragonite.
  • Milotic has three different options for support moves, Dragon Tail allows Milotic to phase out setup sweepers while also chipping at them, and avoiding Taunt. Haze is an alternative option to Dragon Tail, as in comparison, it has a chance to miss and fails to stop setup sweepers behind a Substitute. Toxic allows Milotic to put the opposing Pokemon on a timer, most notably opposing bulky Water-Types such as Gastrodon and Slowbro.
  • Recover is great utility as it ensures that Milotic has much appreciated longevity throughout a match.
Set Details
========
  • The provided EV spread coupled with a Bold nature and Milotic's high base 125 SpDef stat makes the most out of its mixed defensive capabilties.
  • Leftovers provides Milotic with passive recovery throughout a match that goes along way when paired with Recover for much appreciated longevity.
  • Marvel Scale is the ability of choice as it enables Milotic to act as a status absorber while boosting its defense.
Usage Tips
========
  • Milotic's bulk can be used to pivot into Pokemon such as
Team Options
========
  • Milotic best fits on bulky offense teams as a defensive pivot.
  • Ferrothorn is a great partner for Milotic as it can take the Grass- and Electric-type attacks that threaten it. On the flip side, Milotic can take the Fire-type attacks that threaten Ferrothorn.
  • Pokemon that fear Fire-, Water-, and Ice-type attacks such as Excadrill, Tyranitar, and Latios are great when paired with Milotic.
