Mew @ Heavy-Duty Boots
Ability: Synchronize
EVs: 248 HP / 148 SpD / 112 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Spikes
- Knock Off
- Night Shade / Taunt
- Roost

The ancestor of all Pokemon is finally having its time to shine in OU, being able to set Spikes like no other. Night Shade pressures offensive and defensive Pokemon like Heatran and Tapu Lele. Taunt lets Mew set Spikes against Defoggers and more passive Pokemon like Corviknight and Blissey, which sets it apart from other viable Spikers in OU. Knock Off lets it check key threats that Mew can outspeed thanks to its EVs like Modest Kyurem and Tapu Lele, since removing their items turns them into setup fodders for Mew; it also removes Heavy-Duty Boots from opposing Pokemon like Slowking and Blissey, making them more vulnerable to Spikes. The combination of Taunt, Knock Off, and Spikes can annoy bulkier teams easily by chipping them down and preventing foes from recovering HP and using Defog. Some offensive threats like Weavile and Tapu Koko greatly appreciate Mew's presence as well, since their checks are affected by Spikes, namely Melmetal and Heatran, respectively. Mew also appreciates the presence of Pokemon that can help with Dragapult and Weavile such as Toxapex, which can form a dangerous hazard-stacking core with Mew;. Mew also offers Toxapex a switch-in to dangerous wallbreakers like Tapu Lele and Kyurem.

The ancestor of all pokemon is finally having its time to shine in OU, and to show off its ability to set Spikes up like no other in front of its descendants. Its ability to make use of pokemon like Slowking and Tapu Lele to switch in and set spikes sets it apart, ferrothorn can essentially spike on slowking and lele too, right? i would say that switching into passive shit to get spikes up, especially when using taunt, is actually what sets it apart. rework this sentence especially since it can threaten them with a debilitating Taunt or Knock Off. Night Shade on this set fixes its issues of passivity giving it a way to deal consistent damage and annoy Pokemon trying to switch into it, namely ones that lack any recovery such as Ferrothorn, and Heatran although it doesnt cement its match up against them. Taunt makes Mews ability to set up spikes much better, making it stand out between the other two viable Spikes users in OU, most importantly letting it accomplish the feat of being able to set spikes in the face of defoggers. expand on this. taunt does much more than letting mew spike on foggers Knock Off makes it able to check key threats like Modest Kyurem and Tapu Lele which it can outspeed due to its EVs, since after their boosting items are removed they become set up fodder for Mew. u are using knock for much more than just kyu and lele Although Kyurem hates being against Mew it greatly appreciates Mew's Spikes support, much like a lot of other offensive threats like Weavile, Calm Mind Tapu Koko and more. ? elaborate on why these mons specifically instead of any other random offensive threats in the tier Mew also greatly appreciates the presence of Pokemon that can help against Weavile and Dragapult, such as but not limited to Toxapex, they can also form a dangerous hazard stacking core which can chip away at the opponent especially if Mew has Taunt which can make attempts to Defog useless. mention how mew can help pex defensively by switching into psychics

The ancestor of all Pokemon is finally having its time to shine in OU, being able to set Spikes like no other. Night Shade acts as consistent damage output which pressures offensive and defensive Pokemon like Heatran and Tapu Lele. Taunt is another great tool that lets Mew set Spikes in the face of defoggers and also against Defoggers and more passive pokemon Pokemon (perhaps it would be ideal to provide at least two examples), which sets it apart from other viable Spikes setters Spikers in OU.
