Metagross suits up for battle! As a bulky Steel-type, Metagross matches up well against common Fairy- and Dragon-type foes like Sylveon, Iron Valiant, and Regidrago. With Assault Vest, Metagross can handle threats like Primarina and Raging Bolt with ease. Bullet Punch lets Metagross clean up frail foes like Hoopa-U, as well as attacking foes like Primarina before their Custap Berry activates. Earthquake is essential to pressure Raging Bolt, but Psychic Fangs can be replaced with Ice Punch if Landorus is deemed to be more important than Iron Hands and Pecharunt. The given EV spread allows Metagross to tank both a Moonblast and Torrent-boosted Hydro Cannon from Primarina as well as an Earthquake from Choice Band Baxcalibur. Assault Vest Metagross struggles against most Fire- and Dark-types, so try pairing it with teammates like Regidrago, Azumarill, Urshifu-R, and either Landorus forme!

Metagross suits up for battle! As a bulky Steel-type, Metagross matches up well against common Fairy- and Dragon-type foes like Sylveon I wouldn't use sylv ever in this meta but the usage stats are there so /shrug, Regidrago, and Iron Valiant. With Assault Vest, Metagross can further handle threats like Primarina and Raging Bolt with ease / easily further in that spot didn't feel right to me when reading. Bullet Punch lets Metagross clean up foes like frail Hoopa-U weirdly good mu for gross LOL, as well as attack before Custap Berry activates on opponents like Porygon-Z. Earthquake is essential to pressure Pecharunt* see calc below and Iron Crown, but Psychic Fangs can be replaced with Ice Punch if Landorus is deemed to be more important than Iron Hands. The given EV spread allows Metagross to tank both a Moonblast and Torrent-boosted Hydro Cannon from Primarina as well as survive an Earthquake from Choice Band Baxcalibur spread should probably be updated but not your fault. Assault Vest Metagross struggles against most Fire- and Dark-types, so try pairing it with teammates like Regidrago, Azumarill, or Urshifu-R! a ground like either lando forme looks good too if you're not out of space
