Meloetta differentiates itself from other special walls like Arceus-Ground and Mega Audino through its typing, which provides an immunity to Moongeist Beam and a resistance to Psychic-type moves, making it an effective special wall against powerful metagame threats including Flutter Mane, Mega Alakazam, and No Retreat Lunala. Psystrike has high damage output against Flutter Mane and Blissey, more than negating the drawback of its damage being cut by both Fur Coat and Ice Scales.
