I wanted to know if there were any Mega Sharpedo teams out there, I havent been able to think of any or find any. This is my team and I want to know how I can change it around to make it more supporting Sharpedo-Mega.
Bruce (Sharpedo) (M) @ Sharpedite
Ability: Speed Boost
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Waterfall
- Crunch
- Ice Fang
- Protect
- I picked Sharpedo not only because it is my favorite Pokemon, but also because it is a fast, very hard hitting Physical Sweeper with great typing. The role Sharpedo plays is the revenge killer, I only use him when all of my other pokemon are down and out, and he is ready to finish off all of the weakened pokemon from the other team. The moveset I chose was geared more toward the Strong Jaw ability, Waterfall for STAB, Crunch for STAB and Strong Jaw giving it 180 BP, Ice Fang for the coverage and nice boost going from 65 BP to 98 BP with Strong Jaw, and Protect to get a couple Speed Boosts in before Mega Evolving.
Tank (Ferrothorn) (M) @ Rocky Helmet
Ability: Iron Barbs
EVs: 252 HP / 4 Atk / 252 Def
Relaxed Nature
IVs: 0 Spe
- Leech Seed
- Gyro Ball
- Protect
- Spikes
-I picked Ferrothorn for this team because it has very nice typing, and is overall bulky toward Physical Pokemon. The role Ferrothorn plays is the set up man, and my wall, it really wreaks Physical Pokemon with the Iron Barbs and Rocky helmet, I usually use him at the beginning, middle or end, there is not set spot for him. The moveset I chose was to stall and slowly KO the opposing pokemon and set down entry hazards while gaining HP back.
Phantom (Chandelure) (F) @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Infiltrator
EVs: 4 HP / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Modest Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Shadow Ball
- Flamethrower
- Energy Ball
- Trick
-I chose Chandelure because of its nice typing, nice little bulk, but really that phenomenal SP.ATK. The role it plays is really just coming in and weakening everybody for Sharpedo, also it comes in when Ferrothorn is about to be hit with a super effective Fire attack, because it does no harm to Chandelure. The moveset I chose was to deal as much damage as possible, given that SP.ATK stat, it must be used with all the STAB it can get.
Excadrill (M) @ Life Orb
Ability: Mold Breaker
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Earthquake
- Iron Head
- Rapid Spin
- Rock Slide
-I chose Excadrill due to its very high attack and its nice typing. The role it plays on my team is the Rapid Spinner, I did have Starmie on my team but I had a HUGE weakness to Electric throughout the whole entire team, and thanks to Excadrill eating up those Electric attacks, it will be nice to Rapid Spin and take in the Electric my team cannot handle. The moveset I chose was to get as much damage as possible out of it's high attack and still Rapid Spin if needed.
WALL B-B-B-BREAKER (Azumarill) (F) @ Choice Band
Ability: Huge Power
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Atk / 4 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Waterfall
- Play Rough
- Aqua Jet
- Knock Off
-I chose Azumarill because of it's amazing typing, Fairy was a blessing to this pokemon. The role it plays on my team is the Wall-Breaker, I did have Kingler on this team, but the Fairy typing just beat it out, also Azumarill wont take any damage from Dragon attacks so that is always a plus. The moveset I chose was to deal as much damage as possible, going through walls with ease, and Azumarill is the pokemon to do it, setting up for the Sharpedo-Mega sweep.
Teradon (Aerodactyl) (F) @ Focus Sash
Ability: Unnerve
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Rock Slide
- Taunt
- Stealth Rock
- Earthquake
-I chose Aerodactyl because of its amazing speed, and its ability to Taunt and get an early lead. The role it plays on my team is being the set up guy, because of its blazing speed and the ability to Taunt the opposing set up pokemon so they cannot set up all over me, but if they get past Aerodactyl, I have Excadrill to Rapid Spin the mess away. The moveset I chose was to get an early lead by setting up on the other team, while they cannot set up and Aerodactyl can deal some damage while doing it.
So I wanted to know how I should change up my team to support Sharpedo-Mega more, this may include changing up some movesets of pokemon, or getting rid of some pokemon all together, I just need a team surrounding Sharpedo-Mega.
